“Delia, please come with me,” Susanna saluted respectfully. She stood outside the door with a lantern in her hand and said to me.

“Can I go out now?” I asked, looking at Susanna as I sat at a table in front of the window.

“His Highness Kral is waiting for you in the hall. Please come with me.” Susann did not answer my question directly. She waved to the maid behind her to come in and freshen me up.

Sure enough. I'm not surprised by Susanna's reaction. In her mind, Kral's orders were the first order of business. So, without a word, I lowered my eyes and let the maid take me to the dressing table to sit down.

I stayed in that bedroom all day today. To be precise, the ladies-in-waiting outside would, when I opened the door, fearfully beg me not to go out and tell me that they would meet all my needs as long as I stayed in the room.

I feel like I'm under house arrest, but I don't know what rules I broke. The only thing I can think of is that my rebellion last night angered his Royal Highness. The image of us having s.ex last night flashed through my mind. My heart throbbed at the thought of him. But I don't regret it. For me, that's the truth, and I don't want to hide it from Kral.

During the long hours of the day alone, I lie in the room that reeks of His Highness and reflect on everything that has happened to me since I first met him.

Through the moon-lit palace, the brass door was slowly pushed open by the maids. With the sound of slowly turning gears, I saw the blooming lilies like golden flames.

The whole hall was covered with golden lilies. Large bouquets of flowers seem to grow directly from the lens-covered floor. Silver-white chandeliers burned quietly beside the pale yellow curtains, and the air was filled with the charming scent of flowers.

In the middle of the hall, large glass lamps hung down reflecting the flowers on the ground. The long walnut table was covered with a light-colored tablecloth with pale yellow tassels, and the crystal cups reflected the arc of the lights.

The hall tonight is as beautiful as a mirage.

“His Highness Kral prepared all this,” Susanna whispered behind me, perhaps recognizing the surprise on my face.

”... where is Prince Kral?” It took me a while to find my voice, and I asked hesitantly.

“His Highness asked me to tell you that he will be here shortly.”

So, under Susanna's guidance, I sat on one side of the long table, and they all left.

The sound of the door closing was extremely harsh in the quiet and empty hall. I looked at the reflection of my own face on the white porcelain plate. I remember the first time I danced here with Kral. I remember, in front of all the nobles, he took my hand in his, and his golden eyes were full of my reflection. He announced my existence to everyone for the first time.

And now, again, this is where we met for the first time since we really became mates.

There was the sound of leather shoes on the floor. The hairs on my body stood on end, and the sound of surprise was muffled in my mouth. A long, strong hand reached from behind and covered my mouth.

“Shh!” The breath blew over my ear. A familiar smell wafts over my nose. I nodded subliminally and obediently obeyed the person behind me.

Suddenly, the burning candles in the hall suddenly went out. The great glazed lamp on the roof had fallen to its lowest brightness, and only the crystal lamp on the table gave off a faint but steady glow.

All the lilies in the hall glow in the dark, like countless yellow fireflies rising in the dark. The mirror under my feet reflected the fluctuating light, and the whole hall seemed to fall into a sea of night flowers.

“Dear Delia, do you like it?” The deep voice slowly invaded my eardrums. I turned and saw his gentle eyes.

Kral's beautiful golden pupils, now soft enough in the dark to intoxicate anyone. His cold, sharp face was softened by the candlelight in the darkness. Like a full-bellied beast who dozes at night, he doesn't mind showing his sloppy side. It's a far cry from the way he tried to devour me last night.

His hand moved away from my lips. Kral watched as I slowly lowered my head, leaving wet marks on my cold lips. An uncontrollable throb welled up in my chest. The pearls howl in my head with excitement, making me blush unconsciously.

“Close your eyes.”

I found it impossible to resist his approach, especially in such a beautiful scene. My eyelids drooped and my sense of touch and hearing became clearer. Prince Kral's voice became hoarse. His fingers ran across my face, lingering around my exposed neck, bringing waves of heat that made me shiver.

I closed my eyes and let him kiss me. His rapid breathing rained down on me until I heard his shallow laughter.

“Delia, you did it.”

”... What?” I opened my eyes and asked doubtfully.

“You promised to be my qualified and loyal queen, and you have done so, haven't you?” His Highness held my chin in his palm, his eyes showing admiration for me. His thin lips kissed my red, ravaged lips again. This time his kiss was not so aggressive as before, but more like a gentle reassurance.

“As a reward, Delia, I've decided to give you your hometown, the Red Moon Pack.” His long eyelashes tickled my cheeks. “When we end the war, you will be the leader of the Red Moon Pack.”

In his smiling eyes, ambiguous breath dispersed, a cold rose from the soles of my feet like spider-silk winding bound me.
