Chapter 103 – Wrong. Robin is the father of her child

Zayla went to see her father at her mother's apartment since she could not stand Daniel. She left with the driver, who had to return to the penthouse since Zayla had said that she was not going back to the penthouse that night. 0

Luckily, her mother was sleeping when she reached there, so her father spoke comfortably in the small apartment. 

Her mother had a way of making her feel guilty and at this juncture, she did not want that. Her father was surprised to see her since it was already late, and she had not called to pre-inform him that she was coming over.

"Zayla, I wanted to call you, but I thought you'd be sleeping. So, what are you doing here?"

Her father looked too happy to a fault, in contrast to the movie he was watching on TV. The last time they spoke on the phone, his mood was terrible, and she wanted to avoid him, but it seemed like some magic had happened.

"Robin isn't coming home tonight, and he sent his best friend over to watch over me. He is a hacker, and I don't like him, so I told Robin I'd stay here for a few days."

Zayla noticed while she spoke that her father was all smiles and had not taken his eyes off the tv. She was about to ask if he heard her before he responded,

"You could have just told him that you were not comfortable with his best friend and have him leave."

He feared another woman taking Zayla's home from her, as she took it from Sabrina. As they say, with the law of karma. 

For as long as Robin would not stop being with other women, he could not guarantee that his daughter would be the only woman in his life.

"You are right, but that did not happen, so why were you going to call me?" Zayla brought his attention back to the matter at hand. 

Her father's expression changed as he muted the voice of the tv and turned to face her.

"I have information that Sabrina is pregnant."

"No." She was about to say that it was impossible since Sabrina was divorced before remembering that Sabrina had a boyfriend. She did not believe all that Robin said about her relationship with Martin being fake.

"Oh, then, good news. She must be pregnant with that boyfriend of hers."

Her father shook his head in disapproval. "Wrong. Robin is the father of her child."

The color drained from Zayla's face, and she felt dizzy. 

"Impossible."

"My sources are reliable," her father ascertained. Zayla instantly got suspicious. 

All this while, he would tell her that he did not have money and she should try to get the villa, but he always had first-hand information.

"Dad, getting information like this is very expensive, so who is sponsoring you?"

Her father smiled and revealed, "I was visited by Martin's sister."

"Martin does not have a sister. It's not on any of his profiles in the business news," Zayla countered, wondering if her father was being fed the right news and whoever it was that visited him.

"His sister is Mara Sula. He keeps her a secret because she is paralyzed."

Zayla had heard the name Mara from Sabrina when they were friends. "The one who tried to burn Sabrina? She died."

"No. She survived the accident," her father insisted. 

Zayla did not know why they wasted their time arguing about this since it was not making sense to her. She asked with disinterest,

"So, she came here?"

"No. She's paralyzed, but she sent someone. From her sources, her brother is in a very bad mood because Robin sent him out of the hospital and warned him to stay away from Sabrina. 

She is also sad because her brother's bad mood is affecting their relationship."

Zayla's confusion was only growing with every piece of information her father kept relaying. "Robin does not care about Sabrina."

"He does. Before then, he secretly warned Martin to stay away from her, but after finding out that Sabrina was pregnant with his child, he doesn't hide it anymore."

Zayla's eyes were already glassy. "That is not true."

Her father held her hand and squeezed it tightly, 

"Zayla, Robin invested six of his subsidiary companies into JC Minerals, so what reason can you give for that? Don't forget that he refused to help me, your father," her father spoke bitterly.

Jealousy and anger sprawled through his words like snakes at how Robin was helping his ex-wife instead of his fiancé, who was his future. 

The middle-aged man's anger and envy towards Sabrina reached the heavens.

"He is in love with the bitch?" Zayla's voice was blended with tears since she had seen the signs, but Robin kept denying it. 

She was there when Sabrina asked for the divorce, but their exchanges did not show that Robin cared for her.

Zayla was lost as to when exactly things began to develop between them.

"Lucky for us, Martin's sister wants Sabrina dead," her father announced, but Zayla grimaced. She wanted to see Sabrina suffer and beg but never thought about taking her life.

"Dad, I can do many evil things but not stain my hands with blood." Zayla was taking her stand in the whole challenge. She hated Sabrina but had not thought about her death. 

She did not notice that her father was very anguished by her retortion.

"You are foolish. How else would you have Robin to focus on you?"

Mentioning Robin, Zayla was ready to do anything. She loved Robin the moment she set eyes on him, not caring that Sabrina had expressed interest in him first.

"What is the plan?"

Her father smiled upon seeing her seriousness once again. 

"The general is having a surprise birthday party for his daughter. Sabrina would not miss it because Matilda is her best friend."

"So, how do you intend to kill her?" Zayla asked for the details.
