Chapter 116 - Robin, I don’t feel well. I need you

Whatever it was, Sabrina did not want to ask. She did not want to involve her emotions. Sabrina has always had a flat stomach so that little protrusion meant everything to Robin. 2

It could go unnoticed to anyone because it was not so visible, especially when she wore her dress, but for him, who had feasted on her body like a beast before, it brought the understanding of a life growing inside of her.

As his hand moved around her belly, Sabrina did not like her body's response and grabbed hold of his wrist whiles she retorted coldly,

"Enough."

Robin casually lowered his head and teased her a little, saying, "Should I say that you still enjoy my touch like before?"

Sabrina was grinding her teeth together, but with her trying to stop Robin from flirting with her, they both did not notice when Martin stood at the doorway. 

Watching how intimate they were from a distance, his heart was greatly pained.

He had come to check on Sabrina, feeling that Robin must have gone to the office by now but was surprised to meet him here, having a wonderful time with Sabrina. 

Martin was gnashing his teeth, and at the same time, a cloud of darkness covered his eyes before he turned around and left without anyone knowing that he was even there.

"You sure know how to flatter yourself, Robin, but you and I have lost every connection, and nothing about you attracts me anymore."

Robin withdrew his hand and covered her up. His mood suddenly turned gloomy. He knew how much he hurt her, but forcing himself into her life would not be enough to gain back the love he lost.

"I'm sorry. Let me dry your hair." 

He went to pick up the dryer and plugged it while Sabrina sat on the only chair in the VIP ward. Robin had never dried her hair before, so she just wanted him to mess up so she could taunt him, but how wrong she was.

Robin took his time to dry her hair gently. When he finished, he picked her comb and combed it for her before bringing breakfast and setting it before her. 

His actions amazed her, but it was too late for them to have any kind of effect on her.

While they ate, Robin asked her, "I know that I hurt you, but you are the one who asked for the divorce. Would it have been better if I did not grant it?"

Sabrina did not have an answer to his question, so she did not respond to it. Robin felt that he won since she did not respond and said, 

"Then it means I did you well, and you should not hate me."

Sabrina's anger reached its peak, and she snarled, 

"Robin, if you had not granted the divorce, then you would have hated me because I would no longer have been the sweet woman who kept your home but the monster who ruined it. Every woman has a breaking point, and I've reached mine. I think you should leave."

She had already eaten to her fill, so she dropped her spoon, climbed her bed, and turned to her side. Tears were already wetting her pillow, and she wondered why she ever fell in love with the likes of Robin. Even after the divorce, she still felt suffocated and could not breathe properly, just by the way he became a nuisance in her life.

Robin felt guilty for ruining the perfect moment. Things were going well just a while ago, and he just had to bring up the issue of the divorce. What did he even want to achieve? 

"I'm sorry, dear one. I don't have the right to pass that kind of judgment. Please come back and eat for the sake of our growing baby, or I will be forced to feed you."

"Please don't call me that, and I already ate enough."

Sabrina was forced to hide her tear-filled voice so he wouldn't know that she was crying. 

Robin chuckled and shook his head, recalling how Zayla used to call him darling, and he hated it so much. 

Now he also wanted to call Sabrina a dear one, feeling her irritation close to what he felt for Zayla. 

Now he wondered the reason why he felt that way about Zayla when he loved her because she saved his life.

"So, what are you working on today?" Robin asked her. He did not want his day with her to be wasted and tried to acquaint himself as much as he could. Sabrina was annoyed by his talkativeness. 

When they were married, they hardly had a casual chat. It was only when he wanted her to cook for him or if she had to do something he needed. 

His strange behavior made her wonder if this was the man she married before.

"Not much because they are supposed to be meetings. I already sent an email to my secretary to reschedule them for Monday."

Robin was impressed. She already made the necessary arrangements. Figuring that there was nothing more to talk about, he thought of a way to keep up with the conversation, asking, 

"And Matilda's party, are you attending?" He really hoped she would.

"She is my best friend, so I should."

Robin was excited, but before he could think of something else to keep up the conversation, his phone rang. Sabrina was relieved and closed her eyes. 

Whereas Robin was dismayed by the rude interruption of the ringing of his phone, but when he saw it was Zayla, he felt it might be an emergency and excused himself from the ward.

"Zayla," Robin spoke as soon as he was a little away from the door to Sabrina's ward, but his gaze was still focused on it as if he was afraid that somebody would sneak in.

"Robin, I don't feel well. I need you."

Zayla responded from the end of the line. Robin panicked immediately and said, "I'm already at the hospital, so let the driver bring you. I'm waiting."
