Chapter 94 - Everyone, get out! I want to speak to Sabrina alone

Devin was driving Sabrina to the hospital when her phone rang. It was Martin. "Sabrina, I'm sorry my phone was on silent. I was in a meeting," he apologized, fearing that something was wrong.2

Sabrina's pains were not intense, but she feared it might affect her unborn child, for which reason she decided to see the doctor, coupled with not wanting to disappoint Matilda. 

"Martin, it's alright. I wanted you to take me to the hospital, but Devin is already here," she explained weakly. 

She has also been feeling fatigued a lot lately but hearing the hospital, Martin was incredibly worried.

"What is wrong? I thought your antenatal was on Friday?"

"Yes, but I don't feel good, so I decided to go today," Sabrina informed him. 

Afraid that it might be more serious than she was making it seem, Martin could not stay back.

"I'm still coming over," he said seriously, not giving room for her to refuse.

"No problem," Sabrina agreed. It still served her purpose if Martin was there for her.

Devin almost reached the Doctor's office before Martin got there, but he did not feel like leaving Sabrina when she was unwell and still joined them at the doctor's office.

"What is the matter, Miss James," the doctor asked with a sweet smile. Sabrina forced a smile and explained,

"I feel pains in my stomach. It's not intense, but it's still uncomfortable."

The doctor frowned a little. Pregnant women were delicate, and even the strongest of women could break down in times of pregnancy. 

"Did you eat something bad?" She asked seriously. 

Sabrina raked her mind, recounting all she had eaten since yesterday, and shook her head, "No."

"Alright. We shall run some lab tests, and while we wait for the results, I'll do a scan to check the condition of the baby," the doctor explained calmly. 

Sabrina nodded her head, removed her jacket, and was only in her office shirt, for which she rolled up the sleeves for her blood sample to be taken. The doctor called one of the nurses and gave her the sample to be taken to the lab. 

"Please come to the bed, Miss James," the doctor wore a pair of gloves and spoke. Sabrina did as told, and the doctor did some physical examinations while asking, "Do you feel any pain?"

Sabrina shook her head,"No."

"Then I will do the scan now," the doctor said and lifted the hem of her shirt to expose her stomach. As the cold gel of the scanner touched her abdomen, the door of the consultation room opened, but everyone's attention was on the scan, as they thought it was the nurse.

It was only after the door closed for a while and manly footsteps were heard that their attention shifted to see Robin standing there with his eyes glued to the screen where the scan was displayed.

Sabrina froze, Martin had a scowl on his face, and Devin was almost bursting with anger. The doctor was Devin's friend and had already been warned. She also knew Robin, though not as a friend, so she said calmly,

"Mr. Jewel, you have to excuse us. I guess you are in the wrong consultation room."

Robin gave the doctor no attention as his eyes remained glued to the screen where the scan was displayed. 

"Get the fuck out of here, Robin," Devin yelled when he saw where Robin's eyes trailed. Martin was furious but could not utter a word due to the secret Robin knew about him.

Sabrina already had tears in her eyes, not believing that this was happening. Robin's eyes were still only glued to the screen as if he did not hear what anyone was saying. 

Even though he suspected it and Matilda confirmed it, seeing it with his eyes awoke emotions in him that he never felt before.

"You are pregnant," he said in a daze. The joy he felt was immeasurable. It was nothing like what he felt when Zayla told him she was pregnant for him. 

He arrived before the trio but hid from their view. He suspected that the doctor might try to cover up and planned to walk in during the scan, which he did after seeing a nurse walk out of the ward with a blood sample.

Sabrina quickly covered her stomach after recovering from the shock, "What nonsense are you talking about? I'm not pregnant," she said defiantly. 

She could not allow Robin close to her for any reason, and she had to do everything possible to prevent it from happening.

Robin was calm and responded with confirmation, "You are. I already saw it."

Robin's eyes were still glued to the screen, which had been paused when the doctor removed the scanner from Sabrina's stomach. The image looked exactly like what he saw with Zayla's scan results, and he remembered the explanations quite well.

With Zayla, he never got the chance to see it on the screen like this, as the result was only printed and given to him when he stepped out to answer a call.

Sabrina knew she couldn't deny it anymore, but her anger arose, "And what if I am? It has nothing to do with you." Fury laced her voice while she spoke and Robin felt his heart aching even more. 

It was painful that Sabrina wanted to keep his child away from him.

"Oh yes it does," he said calmly before looking around. His anger boiled at the sight of Martin and he yelled, 

"Everyone, get out! I want to speak to Sabrina alone." 

Martin was burning from rage. He knew that Robin would use this opportunity to constantly be in Sabrina's life and ruin things for him. He could not allow it and growled,

"I won't get out. The child she's carrying is mine!" 

"Hahahaha," Robin laughed. He was expecting it. He glared at Martin coldly and retorted sarcastically, "are you even man enough?" 

"Robin, don't get me angry. You know what I can do," Devin snarled. Robin looked at him and smiled as he addressed him,

"Brother-in-law, this is a hospital but for the sake of your pregnant sister, can we have some peace?" The trio froze instantly.
