Devin arrived at the mansion to drop Sabrina off at her office since Matilda was now driving herself.

Sabrina looked sad as she sat in the passenger seat beside Devin, and he couldn't help but ask,

"Brina, are you alright?" Sabrina nodded her head, feeling nostalgic. 

"Yes, have you heard from Robin? He hasn't called since he left." Disappointment laced her tone, and Devin discerned it, glad that Robin hadn't gotten in touch with her.

He felt that she would begin to miss Robin, which would make things easier for him to win her back upon his return. He created an excuse, 

"It might be due to a terrible network, but are you already missing him?" Devin asked in an amused tone. Sabrina let out an embarrassed smile and said, 

"Let's go."

Devin drove with a smile on his face, happy that things were improving between Sabrina and Robin and that her love for him was still strong. 

Despite Robin's warning, Devin couldn't help but ask her, "You know he has changed a lot, right?"

Sabrina smiled at the transformation in Robin. He had become so thoughtful and loving, something she had longed for but never received. 

Now that she was pregnant, she felt it wasn't too late to experience the love and care she deserved.

"I'm still observing him. He needs to prove that he won't revert back to his old ways," Sabrina said, and Devin smiled in agreement. 

"I'm confident he has learned his lesson."

Just a few weeks ago, Devin never thought he would have anything positive to say about Robin. But times have changed, and Robin has shown that he deserves the praise.

Jealousy flashed in Sabrina's eyes, and she blurted out, 

"Now Shandra is harassing him, using business as an excuse."

Devin recognized the name and decided to confirm, asking, 

"Are you referring to Shandra Kane? The goddess of beauty?"

Sabrina bit her lip, not surprised that even Devin had been charmed by Shandra in college. She defiantly stated, 

"Devin, I'm prettier than her."

Devin snapped back to reality and replied, 

"Of course, you are, and Matilda and Lizzy are also more beautiful than her. But don't let her bother you. I believe Robin would take a different path if he saw her approaching from the other direction. He seems remorseful."

Devin reminisced about his college days when he was Robin's junior. Shandra was the most attractive girl, and even the younger students were drawn to her.

He was one of those people, but he also realized that her beauty was the only appealing thing about her.

I was thinking the same thing, but what are those people doing?" Sabrina asked, peering ahead at the three cars parked in a way that almost blocked the road.

Since their mansion was located in a private estate, the roads were typically quiet, as outsiders and commercial vehicles were not permitted.

Devin noticed the cars as well and suggested, "We should just avoid them. I don't want you to be late for work."

A man was attempting to flag down their car, but Devin chose to ignore him. Suddenly, another car appeared and drove towards them, eventually coming to a stop just a few meters ahead, effectively blocking their path.

Devin rolled down his window and inquired, "What's going on?"

"You should come out and see," the man responded. 

However, both Devin and Sabrina felt uneasy, so Devin firmly instructed, "I'm not getting out. We're running late. Move your car."

Sabrina had already spent more time than usual with Devin, both of them waiting for Matilda to leave before them. Their lateness seemed to complement each other.

"Devin, let's go home," Sabrina said, a gut feeling telling her that something was off. It was highly unusual to see three cars breaking down at once on this lonely road.

Devin instantly remembered Robin's warning and replied, "Okay."

As he began to reverse, he noticed another car blocking his way. Both of them felt uneasy about the situation, and Sabrina voiced her discomfort.

Ever since Martin drugged her, Sabrina had been unable to overcome her fear since Martin still hadn't been apprehended by the police.

"I don't have a good feeling about this," she said, and Devin agreed. 

If he were alone, he wouldn't mind, but with Sabrina around, what if someone were to abduct her while he was engaged in a fight or something?

"Neither do I. Let me call the police, and can you call your new secretary? Robin said she is a trained bodyguard," Devin revealed, feeling slightly remorseful about it because Robin didn't want Sabrina to know the lengths, he was going to in order to protect her.

However, due to the urgency, the guilt slowly faded away.

Sabrina was shocked by the revelation, instantly realizing that Robin must have done it because of Martin. 

She wondered how long he had been performing such caring acts without informing her. But as soon as the phone reached her ear, a gun was pointed at her from the window side.

There was another gun pointed at the driver's side before a knock was heard, indicating that they should roll down the window. 

Devin rolled down his side and one of the men said, "Tell your sister to get down and drive away." 

Devin frowned slightly and replied, "That's not going to happen." 

If it were up to him alone, he would have even sped through the narrow access route they had.

However, Sabrina was pregnant with twins, which made the situation delicate.

Any mistake could lead to complications. He looked to his right and saw that five men had gotten out of the cars blocking their path.

Sabrina was afraid that Devin was going to get violent and get hurt, considering it was not a one-on-one situation but rather five or six men.

They might severely harm or injure him, so she suggested, "Devin, let me go. It could be Martin. I dialed Laura's number but I won't end the call. I hope you can track it."
