Might of Flames

"Bang!"1

An explosion resounded as Blinken was pushed back. His face was covered in bruises all over. It was obvious that he wasn't finding the fight easy.

"He is strong.." He muttered with a dark look on his face as he stared at his opponent walking towards him. The guy too had injuries, but he was definitely in better condition then Blinken.

"Are you alive?" Blink asked while panting a little as his back touched another person's back. It was the Village Chief, he too had been pushed back by his opponent until the two almost ended up in the same place.

"I am.." The Village Chief replied.

"Are you sure about that?" I can't tell your hair apart from your face.." Blinken joked about the guy's situation.

His hair was red to begin with, now his face was too. He was really beaten up by the man against him. And, blood seemed to have covered all his features.

"Shut up..I can still go.." Village Chief berated, as he let out a breath and raised his gaze to match his opponents.

"I honestly don't care, but..let me tell you one thing, Tomato head.." Blinken muttered and the Chief's face immediately turned dark, but before he could retort, Blinken spoke again, "If you keep holding back because he is your acquaintance, then you will die.."

"You better give it your all, because if you fail, I am still confident in escaping..not sure about you though.." Blinken looked at the guy with a smug face, clearly looking down on him.

"Well, I don't plan on dying.." The Chief looked at Blinken, and then turned his head as he spoke.

"Flare!'

The next instant, flames erupted from his body.

"This b*stard!" Blinken hurriedly moved away from the guy as the temperatures were really too high. It seemed that the Chief was going to go all out with this move of his.

'Wait..is he burning himself away or something..' Blinken frowned when he saw the Chief's skin start to dry and crack a little as it turned into some ashy color while flames raged around him.

"Escape, if he doesn't fall after this..because I sure will be dead if he doesn't.." The Chief spoke as he gave Blinken a glance, and then his figure shot forward at the speed of light.

Blinken's face instantly changed upon hearing that, but he couldn't stop the guy at all. He was just too fast.

"Whoosh!"

"You are not going anywhere.." Blinken roared in anger the next second when he noticed that the guy behind him was suddenly rushing towards his partner with a dark look on his face. Even he seemed to realize the threat his partner was facing.

But, how could Blinken allow that to happen. If the guy reached there, then the Chief was dead for sure even if he defeated his opponent.

"Whoosh!"

His figure immediately disappeared with a flash and appeared before the bulky looking man.

"Move!!" The man screamed as he threw out a fist straight towards Blinken.

'F*ck it!' Blinken had taken a fist previously. He very well knew how strong it was, and he definitely didn't want to take another fist. Hence, he had been avoiding it, but if he did it now, it would sure spell a disaster. He couldn't allow his opponent to get free.

So, he gritted his teeth, and with an evil smile and a gust of wind rolled around his arm, and he shot forward a fist towards his opponent as well.

"Bang!"

The two fist collided and the ground beneath instantly cracked from the impact.

Blinken's face twisted in pain, as he was pushed back with a slight creaking noise sounding from his bones.

"Swish!"

But, suddenly, the winds which were rolling around Blinken's arm shot forward, coiling around the man's arm like a snake. And, with its movement, blood sprayed everywhere from his arms as the blades of winds cut through the man's muscle and tendons.

The man let out a muffled groan as he staggered back a few steps while his arms hung loosely from his body.

"You won't get any time to recover.." Blinken's voice sounded in his ears as a few more dozen blades of wind arrived, and the guy was forced to dodge rapidly. But, the injury seemed to have affected his movement, and his figure slowed down leading to more injuries piling over him.

Blinken on the other hand began to sweat as well. He was continuously firing wind blades with one hand as his other hand really hurt like hell.

'Is he done or not?' Blinken muttered inwardly as turne his head around a little when a huge explosion resounded in the distance, and the next instant a huge mushroom of fire rose through the sky while a shockwave spread out across the place which was soon followed by a wave of ashes and flames.

"God damnit!" Blinken cursed as the next instant they were totally engulfed in the cloud of ashes. He sure was going to need a thorough bath once he got out of the place.

When the dust around all settled down, there was only one figure left standing covered in dust from head to toe.

"Where did he go?" The man shook his body a bit, and managed to get the excess ash off of him.

He then proceeded to carefully move ahead while searching for Blinken. But, even after a few minutes, there was no sign of him.

"Did he run away?" The man frowned. He then hurried his steps towards the place where the Chief and his partner had fought. But, even there he couldn't find a single person. It was either they had been burnt to ashes in the blast or had been taken away by someone. After all, in that situation, it would really be a surprise if they were in a condition to move on their own.

"Where did that b*stard go?" The bulky man clenched his fist and let out a roar in anger.
