Chapter 83 - Cores

In the training room,

After what happened in the monitoring hall, John and Kota could now be seen in a room together with Hibari, they were watching Lenka and Alisa below fighting some virtual Aragami.

John focused on Lenka and could only shook his seeing him struggling fighting an Aragami whereas Alisa already done killing the Aragami on her side. This easy kill was not just witnessed by John as Kota and Hibari were also there with their eyes wide open seeing how Alisa deal with the Aragami easily compared to Lenka who was still struggling until now.

Moments later, Lenka then finally killed the Aragami on his while breathing hardly before looking at Alisa who was looking at him indifferently.

"Don't put us in the same category, weak New-Type." Alisa indifferently said before looking at John above.

Lenka could only clenched his fist after seeing the difference between them but he didn't let it get to his heart and became more determined and use this as the reason to become stronger instead. He looked at Alisa for thr last time before leaving the place.

Seeing this, Kota, who was above together with John and Hibari got down to meet Lenka to cheer him up. John, on the other hand, stayed above a little longer before looking at Hibari.

"Thanks for your time, Hibari." John said while smiling at her. This training session might not be possible without her operating the machine.

"I'm only here because I was ordered by Major Amamiya. If the there's nothing else, I want to get back to work." Hibari replied but a hint of blushness could seen on her face.

"Well, there's nothing else to do here." John said after guessing that Alissa might not fight an Aragami again.

"I take my leave then."Hibari said before she stood up preparing to leave.

"I'll treat you a dinner sometime, Hibari." John said after seeing her walking towards the door.

Hearing John, Hibari paused a bit before continue walking outside not wanting to stay in the room anymore after her face was starting to get red as she still couldn't forget about what he saw the other day.

John just laughed at her seeing how fast she got out of the room. He then looked back to Alissa before heading down.

Below,

"What of kind fight do you want?" John smiled while asked after seeing how serious Alisa was.

Alisa, on the other hand, did not reply as she already rushed forward towards John while holding her God Arc in its sword form.

John wrly smiled after seeing this before summoning Infinity and also transformed it into a sword to block.

The two then started to display their strange swordsmanship as Alisa's sword was way more bigger than John's but even with that, Alisa couldn't even make him move in his position while getting irritated at the same after seeing him was smiling at her without doing anything but to block her attack.

Alisa couldn't contain her anger as she found John was mocking her. She then transformed her God Arc into a machine gun and start firing.

Seeing this, John didn't move back and just transform Infinity into a shield which blocked it all. Alisa widened her eyes for a bit seeing his weapon in a new form but she continue to fire after getting frustrated after seeing her attacks were still futile and could only stop as she run out of ammo.

"Cool off, I will train with you from time to time." John said after seeing her out of ammo. He then threw some towel towards her before leaving the place while thinking that it wasn't that bad to spar with her from time to time but he will be serious the next time they do it.

Alisa caught the towel and saw him leaving. She then looked at the towel while having some questions on her mind as she thought where did the towel come from.

---Noon---

In the cafeteria,

John, Shio, Iroha, Licca, and even Alisa were on the same table while enjoying the food.

"What should we do today, John?" Shio suddenly asked as they don't have something to do after they finish their lunch.

"How about roaming around the town again?" Iroha suggested as they still not satisfied yesterday and wanted to roam more.

"Hmm, let's do that then." John said as it was also a good time for passing time while noticing someone who keeps on looking at them.

In some table in the cafeteria,

Lenka was also eating lunch in the cafeteria while looking at John's group especially to his sister from time to time. He wanted to join them but he couldn't mustered up the courage to ask after seeing her how happy his sister even without him. He could only stay on his table and was content just by looking at them.

"Lenka, how about coming to my house." Kota suddenly said after seeing Lenka feels a little off while eating.

"I'm sorry Kota but I want to train." Lenka replied as he finished his meal before bidding his farewell.

It didn't take long for John and the others to also finished their meal before parting ways as Licca still had workto do in her workshop while Alisa left without saying anything.

---Sunset---

At the top of the wall,

John, Iroha, and Shio were now resting at the top of the wall while appreciating the beautiful view of the sunset.

They decided to rest at this place after getting tired of visiting stores to stores just earlier.

"John, can you make me strong?" Iroha suddenly asked as she doesn't want the feeling of being left behind every time they were on a mission. She knew for herself that John was strong and wanted him to make her strong as well because she had a feeling that he could do it.

"Hmmm." John looked at Iroha after hearing it as he suddenly remembered that Sia also asked the same thing.

"Me too. Me too. I want to be strong too." Shio suddenly butted in as she also wanted to become strong like John.

"Hahahaha." John laughed after hearing Shio. He then placed her to his lap while patting her head before looking back at sunset.

'System, what would happen if I buy a weapon coming from the other world. Can they be use to kill Aragami or is Infinity was the only exemption?' John asked the system as he wanted to help Iroha.

[Yes, all weapons coming from the other worlds could be use against the Aragami just like the arrow that the host used the other day.]

Upon hearing, John couldn't help nut laughed inside him knowing how fool he was after not noticing such thing. He could only blame himself as he didn't took too much time asking the system or maybe because he doesn't have time to think about it as his mind was preoccupied with something else.

"Do you really want to?" John asked while looking at Iroha after calming down.

Iroha paused after seeing that John was serious this time but she then steeled her resolve before answering "Yes."

"Well, I will give you something so look forward to it." John said but before anything else, he still needs to think how to make her body strong before he will let her fight an Aragami.

Upon hearing, Iroha then become happy and excited but after looking at his eyes, she then thought that he must thinking about something else.

"But it won't be free." John said as he moved his hand to embraced her before kissing her lips.

Iroha widened her eyes by the sudden kiss but she later cooperated as she was also waiting for it

The two then kissed passionately with the sunset as their background but it didn't take long before breaking out as Shio was constantly bugging them that she also wants a kiss.

John couldn't help but laughed before kissing her also before they enjoy their time on the top of the wall before heading back to headquarters.

---Night---

In some hall on the headquarters,0

Hibari was doing something on the computer but she couldn't focus as someone was staring at her.

The person who was staring at her was actually John who was there to give some cores he collected throughout the past year as he thought that it's also good to contribute a little.

"C-Can you look somewhere else." Hibari shyly said as she couldn't help but keep remembering him together with Major Amamiya the other day and the thing that he said in the morning.

"Well, I'm actually here to contribute some cores to Aegis Project but seeing that you're pushing me out, I think I need to think about another time." John amusingly said as he found her expression really cute.

"Cores? Where is it?" Hibari suddenly became excitedly after hearing what he just said.

John was surprised seeing that she became somewhat a different person after hearing about cores.

"To think that you'd change so much after hearing about it. Well, this is also my compensation as I took your time earlier." John replied seeing her became really excited. He then summoned at least a hundred medium cores on the table while the others fell on the floor.

"Don't forget, I will still invite you to dinner sometime so look forward to it." John said as he waved his hands while leaving Hibari alone in the hall.

Hibari just looked at John before looking at the floor who was now filled with cores. She then was shocked to see it after realizing that all the cores were something that only medium type could have. She then excitely called someone and reported what John just did.

In the cafeteria,

John, Shio, Iroha, Sakuya, and Licca were already there eating together while talking from time to time. Alisa was not around this time and was probably somewhere in the headquarters.

"John, we will have some mission tomorrow together with those three in the morning as Major Amamiya wanted us to help and teach them." Sakuya suddenly said while eating as she has been informed by Lindow about it.

"Ohhh, it's now time for that. Hmmm, I just hope that those three won't cause trouble." John replied after remembering something.

They then talked about their mission before finishing their meal which they decided to stay in Licca's workshop to pass time but it was only Iroha, Shio, and Sakuya as John was already being called by Tsubaki to her room.

Tsubaki's room,

John and Tsubaki were now on the bathtub together while embracing each other.

"John, Hibari told me that you contributed a hundred medium cores earlier. Why didn't you tell me that you had that many and where did it came from anyway." Tsubaki said after remembering what Hibari reported as she was also excited to know about it as every core was precious for the completion of Aegis.

"Well, It's from the Aragamis that I killed while I'm still not here." John truthfully replied as there wasn't any harm to tell her about it as she was already his.

"Do you still have more then?" Tsubaki asked while expecting that he still had more.

"Yes, and I have bunch of them." John said replied seeing that she won't stop bugging him with it.

"Why don't you gave them to me." Tsubaki said as she knew that Johm wouldn't lie about this kind of thing. She wasn't doing this for personal reason but for the humanity as a whole as they really need cores to complete the Aegis Project.

"You can have some of them but you have to work hard for it." John whispered on her ears while carressing her hips.

Upon hearing, Tsubaki felt electrified and suddenly got turned on. She then immediately turned her body around to face John and grabbed something below the water before moving herself down.

"I will start working for it then." Tsubaki said before loud moans echoed throughout the bathroom and it continued towards the bedroom but John end their night activity sooner as he wanted to head to his room as he had a promised to give to Iroha.

John's room,

John and Shio were now looking at someone on the floor sweating hardly while having some painful expressions could be seen on her face.

This person was actually Iroha who was been given by John some Elixer to drink to strengthen her body. She thought that she was already prepared but feeling how painful the process was, it made her want to quit but she endured and persevered as it was also for herself.

"John, is Iroha okay?" Shio asked after seeing Iroha on the floor.

"She's okay. Let's just wait and see." John said but he was also worried as the method that he thought that could help her body become stronger aside from the help of other system was through some Elixirs. He already asked the system about which the system told him that there were two ways to strengthen her body and that was to buy an Elixir together with a cultivation manual to digest it slowly while the other was very simple as the person just need to drink a special Elixir directly but the downside was the person who will consumed it must be exposed to some external power as they need to endure some pain on the process.

---An Hour later---

An hour already passed but Iroha was still not done in which only one person was still looking at her as the other already fell asleep on the bed.

John looked at Iroha and saw that her face was starting to get red. He then thought that she might about to finish soon.

Moments later, Iroha then suddenly opened her eyes and saw John looking at her. She first feel her body before leaping on John's embrace.

John caught her and saw her crying while smiling at the same time. He on the other hand couldn't help but to smile also after seeing that she's fine.

"How is it?" John asked after seeing that she finally calmed down.

"I don't know what happened but I feel great." Iroha replied while feeling that something has changed on her body.

"Where did you even get that Elixer, John?" Iroha asked after seeing how magical the Elixer was even though its a little bit painful.

"It's a secret for now. How about we took a bath first." John said seeing the dirt that came out from her body sticked on her and his clothes after embracing.

Iroha then realized that she's dirty and smelly at the same time which she immediately jumped up and run towards the bathroom.

John smiled at her while looking that she purposely didn't lock the door. He then stood up and followed inside.

---Midnight---

Inside the training room,

A person could be seen fighting some Aragami while using his God Arc before finally taking it down. He then wiped his sweat before looking above. This person was actually Lenka who stayed in the training until now trying to improved his strength.

"Kota, can you please the operator to restart again." Lenka said as he still wanted to try again.

But no matter how loud Lenka shouted, Kota and the operator above were already sleeping soundly.

Lenka stopped shouted and decided to head up which after arriving saw the two of them already sleeping. He then didn't wake them up and decided to operate the machine by himself before heading down again.
