445: Tokyo

Tokyo

  Tokyo was known to be a city for entertainment. At least it is one of the entertainment places in all of the cities around the world. There were a lot of hotels, casinos, etc. It is also full of lights and traffic and a lot of cute stuff. Johanna had been in the city once when she was fixing meetings and appointments from her current job back in the US. Right now, she's enjoying herself around the city. Going window shopping and scanning through the fun hotels. She will come back with Connor. 

  Now, she happened to pass by the store for kids. She looked at the adorable girl's dress and stared at it. She needed to check on the details so she could make one for her darling. 

"I am sure that she's having fun, but I miss her." She mumbled and walked off. Gray catches up with her. 

"So, do you have kids?" 

"Nope." She said, "I was thinking of my niece." She lied. She lied a lot but no one ever catches her lying. 

"Oh," He nodded his head. "You said that you are infertile." 

"Yup." 

"Or was your husband infertile?" 

"I am infertile." She looked at him. "I don't want to have sex with you so let's not talk about this ever again." 

"I am not~~" Gray rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I was planning to have sex with you." He snorted. "I know that you will continue rejecting me." 

"I might not." She winked, teasing him. It annoys him that she's playing on him. 

  They went through a lot of ways and he wondered what was on her mind why she was walking in random directions. 

"How long are you going to keep walking?" Gray asked as he felt so dehydrated. 

"Oh, why are you following me?" 

"Well?" He shrugged at her. "Don't be dumb." 

"I am not dumb. You are dumb." She laughed as she kept walking. "I was testing these shoes." She showed off the comfortable shoes that the Charles Facility provided for her. She's even testing the suit inside her winter jacket. "It was light and comfortable. I can jump high on these." 

"Oh," He nodded his head. He grabbed his arm. "There's a tea house. Let's go there. I am really, really thirsty and starving." 

  She just let him drag her to that tea house. Since he doesn't speak Nihongo, Johanna was the one who spoke to get whatever Gray wanted. Then, they took their seats and waited for their food. 

"Girls are dressed cute in here." He smiled with that heart in his eyes. 

"Pedo," Johanna said. He realized what she meant as he frowned at her. 

"I am not a pedophile!" 

"Whatever." 

  In the afternoon, Johanna and Gray went back to the penthouse that the Charles Empire had in the area. She took a hot relaxation on the jacuzzi as she closed her eyes to relax. She wanted to enjoy everything first before that old man woke up. Or before the Heir of the Serpent would visit the facility. She reached for the disposable phone and called directly to Connor's phone. It was ringing and ringing. No one answers. She pouted and called again. This time, Connor answered. 

"Hello?" 

"Hey, babe." 

  Connor was silent for a while. 

"Jo?" 

"Yup. It's me." 

"Wait, hold on. I'll get our daughter." 

"Sure." She giggled. 

"How are you?" He asked. She bet that he's already rushing to get their daughter. 

"I am doing fine. I am enjoying a hot jacuzzi." 

"I wish I was with you." 

"Yeah, me too. I could have a back scrub." 

  In the background, she could hear Quinn shouting, probably arguing with Kal. She giggled as she already imagined how her daughter bullied Kal. 

"Quinn, Mama's here." 

"Mamamamam~~" Quinn babbled. Her heart pounded after hearing her. 

  Johanna pouted as she listened more. 

"I want to hear more." 

"Say, Mama," Connor said softly. 

"Mamamama…" Quinn giggled. Johanna missed her dearly. Quinn started babbling something. 

"Connor." She called 

"Yes, love. I'm here." 

"I~~I will have fun a little bit. But I promise that I will be home." 

"Johanna. I know that you are probably into something dangerous." 

"I am babe. I am always in danger. But Quinn, she's smart." 

"Your daughter is a bully. I always spoke to her about bad things she did." 

  Johanna giggled. 

"Maybe only to Kal or a few threats? Well, she's adorable anyway." 

"I know but~~it will be too much as she grows." 

"Just speak to her calmly." 

"I am. Right, Quinn? You shouldn't bully your big brother." 

"Nyanyanya!" Quinn shouted and Johanna just loved hearing Quinn's adorable noise. 

"She gained a lot of weight," Connor added. "She already has fat cheeks and she's~~eating a lot too." 

"Oh, that's good." 

"But she did a lot of puzzles and hated to be interrupted. She got angry." 

  Johanna giggled as she already imagined it. Kal always wanted to interrupt her. That's why she got angry. 

"Mamamam!" Quinn said again as she wanted to listen to it every time. The doorbell rang. She rolled her eyes. 

"I think they are here." 

"Take care. Call me as soon as you can." 

"I will. I love you. I love you, Quinn."  1

"I love you so much." 

  Johanna put away her phone as she stood, wrapped a thick robe on her body, and slid the phone into the pocket. She walked out of the bathroom to the main door. She peeked at the peephole and opened it, letting Gray, a female that she didn't know, and Kennedy in. 

"What now?" She asked. 

"Hannah Grace, this is Janella Lefebure. Vice President of~~" 

"Oh!" Hannah Grace snapped. "Lefebure." She shrugged as she sat down on the sofa and crossed her legs. "Okay, go on." She waved to him after she interrupted. 

"It is rude, Hannah Grace." Janella Lefebure said. The lady crossed her arms. 

"I know." She chuckled. 

"Get the gem and you are done on your first mission here in Tokyo." 

"What if I won't do it?" She asked. 

"Janella." Kennedy weaned. 

"I'm sorry." Janella smiles kindly. "We want you to get the gem. We will give you whatever you want." 

"Freedom." She said, "I will get it. You will let me go." 

  Janella looked at Kennedy. 

"Except that. We need your help further." 

  She rolled her eyes. 

"Then, I might not get it. You wanted to negotiate~~ then" Johanna looked at Kennedy. 

"Or we will just kill you right away." Janella's stare was always cold. 

"You could." She chuckled. "You know that I am the only one who could get it for you." She smirked. "You can kill me right now, but it will only take a finger for you to die." 

  Janella stared at her coldly. 

"Please, Miss Hannah Grace," Kennedy asked. 

"Fine. If you were the one asking." Johanna said. "But this is a great deal. I will get what I want." 

"Yes, of course." Kennedy nodded his head. "Few more missions."

  Gray looked at Johanna to Janella. Then, he sneered a little and sighed. Shortly, Kennedy and Janella left. Gray whistled and pointed at the drink. 

"Do you want some?" 

"She's a bitch." Johanna said. "I want a glass of champagne please." 

  Gray poured champagne on two glass flutes. Then, he gave one to Johanna. She sipped on it and pointed it to him. 

"So, tell me you know that girl?" 

"Yup. Since when she was a teenager. I can't say that we grew up together but I know a little about Lefebure." 

"A little or a lot?" 

"A lot." He said as he sipped on the champagne gracefully. "You should get ready. Take a nap before your actual play." He groaned. "This is frustrating. I know that I am in love with you but you can only befriend me." 

"Yup." She chuckled and finished her glass. She stood and checked the suit. "My mom designed something more beautiful than this." She said as she caressed the fabric. 

"Your mom?" 

"My adoptive mother." She said, "Karmina Rossie. She's the Queen of the country that Lefebure betrayed. Hmm, I can do it." 

"Do you want me to go with you?" 

"No." She laughed. "I can take care of myself. But I have something for you to do." 

  Gray went to the foyer of Johanna's suite while she was preparing for the fight. He stared at nowhere, looking anxious. He had researched this clan and they are more brute than anything. They also rule half of the country and Johanna might not ever come back to Japan anymore. 

  After an hour of preparing, Johanna came out wearing the suit and she turned around to check herself in the mirror. 

"I look good. Not bad at all." 

  Gray looked at her, still anxious. 

"Doctor Gray. You shouldn't get anxious at all. You are not the one that's going to kill a lot anyway." She sighed. 

"Hannah Grace," Gray called her. "Your husband…" 

"Hmm?" 

"He must be a good guy." 

"He is." 

"I will go now." 

  Johanna watched as Gray left the room. She already knows what will happen. Gray will take action on his own. Maybe he's tired of the Charles Empire but she needs to do this. She needs to get back to her family and her beloved baby Quinn. She promised them. 

  She pulled out her phone and called Connor again. 

"Hey," Connor answered quickly. 

"How's Quinn?" 

"She's fast asleep. Tired from all of the play with Ella and other babies." 

"Hmm, I love you." 

"Jo, are you going to be in a dangerous situation again?" 

"You knew." She chuckled. "I will be safe. Like I promise." 

"You should. Or I will track you wherever you are." 

"I love you, Connor. So much." 

"I love you more."
