Fire Gem
Victor and Johanna arrived at the rendezvous. It was a clubhouse. He gestured for her to enter first as he followed her. Shortly, inside, Andromeda who was currently with a handsome man and a beautiful woman on her both sides waved at them. He had no idea who the two were but the handsome man grinned at them.
"Take a seat." Andel greeted them and even pulled a chair for Johanna. "Finally meeting the famous Hannah Grace." Andel went to the bar counter. "What would you like, monsieur, mademoiselle?"
"If you have margaritas. I would like one, please." Johanna said.
"Got it." He snapped his fingers and winked. "How about you, monsieur?" He asked.
"Just some non-alcoholic cocktail."
"Coming right up."
Veronica stood and extended her hand to Hannah Grace.
"It's great to see you again."
Johanna accepted it and shook it.
"Indeed."
"Well, now that we are acquainted~~" Andromeda pointed at Victor. "That's Victor, her brother. He's a great one as well."
Veronica nodded her head. Then, she distributed the table to each of them. She then discussed everything with them.
"The fire gem is the most dangerous among all," Andromeda said.
"Unlike the air gem or water gem, they can be controlled well but if someone touches the fire gem~~the person who held this with a grudge, fear, and all of the negativities will be controlled by the fire gem. That's why, the guardian who holds it shall have a pure heart, clear mind, and good intentions."
"What would happen if it was held first?" Johanna asked.
"That person will see the great power of the gem which is destruction," Andromeda explained.
"How are they tracking it down?" Victor asked. "This is confusing. How did they know about the gems?"
Andromeda slouched and their drinks were served. She clicked her tongue.
"Long story short. The Serpent had contact with the Yakuza, I don't know who gave them the idea about the gem. They said that it was a myth but when they saw it and touched it they became very much obsessed with it. These gems should be apart from each other."
"If they are all together?" Johanna asked.
"Calamities will continue," Andromeda said. "At least, that's what I know."
"I already hold the gem," Johanna said. "How come that I didn't see any future or something?"
"Were you wearing gloves?" Andromeda asked.
"You mean, if you hold it with bare hands~~" Johanna prolonged and waited for Andromeda to fill her sentences.
"Yes, you are right. You will be uncontrollable if you hold it unless you are disciplined."
"Then, why aren't you obsessed with that stone?" Victor asked.
"Because my dear Victor. I am not as crazy as they are. I am the guardian." Andromeda winked as she moved her lips to her wine glass.
"Right," Victor reached for his cocktail and sipped through the fancy straw.
Andel smiled at Hannah Grace and then he took out a red envelope.
"Here's a gift for your little girl." He said then he gave one to Victor. "And for your little boy."
They both opened it as they looked at Andel. It contains a money cheque and a golden card.
"They are welcome to the school that we are currently building. Maybe in a few years now." He said. "I bet that your children are gifted. So, they are welcome to this school."
"I am planning to let Quinn choose what school she wants," Johanna said. "I mean, Private school and Public school are both different."
"I feel the same as Kal. But we will convince them to go to this school."
"Come on. The tuition fee isn't that expensive." He chuckled. "It's a dorm too."
Andromeda covered Andel's mouth and gestured to his drink. Then, she showed them the current location of the people searching for the gems. They are near to where the gem is located. Victor and Johanna looked at each other.
"Are we going to start right away?" Johanna asked.
"Before dawn, tomorrow, we need to start," Andromeda said. "Let's meet up here. We still have to prepare the equipment."
"Okay, great." Johanna finished her drink as she stood with Victor. Andel escorted them to the garage and waved.
Victor drives the car back to the real estate. In the entrance, little Quinn seemed to escape from her nanny. She squirmed at the car and waved.
"Mama! Mama!"
"Oh, how did she escape the playroom?" Victor asked. Then behind Quinn is Cole who seemed to catch up with her. He held her hand so she wouldn't trip down the stairs. Johanna opened the car door.
"Darling, why are you outside?" She asked. "Did you miss mommy that much?"
"See~tutu!" She pointed inside. Johanna smiled as she jogged upstairs and reached Quinn's hand.
"Let's go and see your turtles." She patted Cole's head. "How's school, Cole?"
"It was great. But my teacher told me that I might need to change classes." Cole answered.
"Why?" Johanna asked.
"To, grade one. They said that they have nothing to teach me in kindergarten."
"Ohh," Johanna chuckled. "What did your mom say?"
"She said that I will change classes tomorrow."
"Great. Do you want it?"
"Yes, it's quite boring in the kindergarten."
Johanna smiled as she looked down at Quinn who grabbed Cole's hand.
"See~~fishy~~fishy." She said in excitement. She's been hyper the whole day excited about the aquariums that Connor is building in their bedroom. She also chose to have a bed closer to the aquariums. The three of them went to the bedroom where Connor is currently doing landscaping with help from the Butlers. Quinn pointed to the quarantine tanks where the fishes currently are. Then, she pressed her face to the glass. "Fishyyy."
Connor also moved closer and admired the beautiful colorful fishes.
"There's a shrimp." He pointed to the shrimps on the other tank.
"That's a shrimp ecosystem," Johanna told them.
"Ohh," The two looked ecstatic.
"Shrimp!" Quinn exclaimed as she giggled. "Then, tutu!" She pointed to the turtle tank.
"Hey, love." She approached her man and kissed his cheeks.
"We will be done in a few minutes," Connor told her. "You smelled like a margarita." He commented. 0
"Because I drank one." She said as she sat on the love seat and waited for them to finish the tank. Currently, Quinn and Cole are circling the table checking the fishes, the turtle, and the shrimps. She smiled at the adorable kids.
After like thirty minutes, they are done with landscaping and Connor turns on the heater and filters on each tank to cycle it for a week. Then, the Butlers cleaned up quickly as Connor approached her.
"You didn't tell me about this new mission." He mumbled as he cornered her and kissed her lips.
"I'm sorry." She whispered.
"If you keep doing this~I will get mad." He said in a very low and dangerous voice.
"I'm sorry." She whispered. It was her fault after all. She kept excluding him from all of the important things. He sat beside her as he watched Cole and Quinn approach the big economy aquarium surrounding Quinn's mini with four posters and curtains.
"Wow!" Cole exclaimed.
"So, what did you get as your pet?" Connor asked Cole. Cole looked at him.
"Mrs. Del Carlo said that they are still setting up my aquarium too. Then, she bought me a talking parrot."
"Why won't you call her, Mom or Mama, maybe mommy?" Connor asked.
"I don't think that she will like it."
"Cole, she would love it," Johanna assured the boy. "Try calling her that. She will be happy."
Cole looked down at Quinn who was busy checking the fish foods in the cabinets.
"I will." He said.
"Where did you get that vintage aquarium frame?"
"They have it here in the mansion." He said. "They said that old Carter had hobbies but then, Arowana died after a few years so he didn't want to buy another. They said that I could use it. Quinn loved it so much."
"That's great." She nodded her head. Quinn climbed up on her bed which has a ladder and rail. The bead had protective rails around it so she wouldn't fall.
"Coco! Fisshy!" She lifted the Betta Fish pillow at Cole.
"That's adorable." Cole checked on it. "What is it called?"
"Betta!" She giggled then she showed more mini pillows that are shaped like types of fishes.
"She got a new hobby." Johanna leaned on her man as she caressed his arm. "I'm sorry, my love." She whispered. "This is an important matter. I hope you understand."
Connor sighed as he nodded his head.
"I understand, but you have to share it with me. I am your soon-to-be husband and the father of our beautiful Quinn. Jo, I am so damn worried all the time."
"Hmm," She pouted at him just to make all of his worries go away. "I'm sorry. Forgive me, okay."
"There's nothing to forgive. We are together." He kissed her forehead. "Your brother will be with you?"
"Hmm," She nodded her head.
"I know that you will be safe."
"Stay with our little Quinn, okay?"
Connor nodded his head as he held her head. They watched as Quinn started jumping on her bed and Cole held her hand just in case she fell from the bed. The hyper baby climbed down from her bed and ran back to the quarantine tanks.
"Coco! Snay-Snay!" She pointed to the snails who are currently cleaning the quarantine tanks.
"There are snails?" Cole rushed to her as they watched the snails together.
