To Trust

  Keira made sure that they are in a secluded room that no one would be able to eavesdrop on. Andromeda slouched on the sofa while Keira was writing on the cheque. 

"How much do you need?" 

"A million? I will give it back." 

"Consider it my investment." Keira winked at her. Alessandro grinned. 

"I will give a percentage on this." She grinned. "I am off hunting for a couple of days. They are still trying to track my gems. I need half of the air. I don't want the Rossie Empire to get involved." 

  Keira handed the paper to her. 

"On second thought. I need cash." 

  Keira rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers. 

"Come, let's get that cash." 

"Great." Andromeda grinned. "Or else, they might track my money. You know what I mean." 

"Yup." 

  They left the library as Keira took her to the bedroom. She went to the walk-in closet and opened a cabinet to the vault. She took out one million cash that had been in the pouch. Then, the machine counts the money. She put it all in there as it counts the one thousand pesos cash to one million. Andromeda grinned as she pulled out a diamond and gave it to her. 

"My token." 

  Keira took it as she stared at it. 

"This is a blue diamond." 

"One of the rarest. It's yours." Andromeda winked as she took the cash. 

"Okay," Keira nodded her head as she put the diamond in the vault. She locked it as she followed Andromeda out. "Have a safe trip." 

  Andromeda moved closer to her and took out a paper. Then, she winked as Andromeda left, driving her sports car away. Keira shook her head. 

"Flashy as ever." She went back to the dining hall as her husband looked at her. She put her hand to her husband's back as she sat down and scratched it a little. 

"What was that for?" Alessandro asked. 

"She was just asking for money," Keira answered. 

"Money?" Sandro was puzzled but none of them asked another question although they are thinking about why Andromeda asked for Keira's money. 

  After dinner, Keira went directly to her bedroom with her baby. She fed her while she read Andromeda's writings. 

"They won't be able to locate the water gem. But I want it to stay with you. It will be safer since they won't even have a thought that I would give such a dangerous gem. As long as you have it. You will be protected and so is your family. Currently, the Serpent wants to prove that your family has one gem. We need to prove them wrong and keep it safe." 

  Keira looked down at her baby that was busy sucking on her breast. The hungry baby looked adorable while looking up at her. She pointed her forefinger to Calli's adorable nose. 

"My baby." 

  Calli cooed. 

"Mommy will be very busy for the whole week. So, you have to stay with Quinn, Kal, and Dione for the whole day. Daddy will be very busy too." 

  The little one seemed not to mind. 

"Love, I prepared your bath," Alessandro said who had just gotten out of the bathroom. "Calli and I will have some father and daughter bonding and talk about her future." 

"Future?" Keira asked. 

"It is either she wants to stay in Paradis and be a Princess or she wants to rule two companies." 

"We will have more babies," Keira told him as she reached the baby book. 

"So," Sandro thought about it. "Are we going to work it out tonight?" 

"No. Not tonight." 

  Calli was done with her dinner as Sandro took her and talked to her on the bed. They both sat down face to face as he explained carefully about her future job. The baby seemed to understand her father as she even nodded her head. 

"You see, we have two companies. One is your mom's and one is mine. But then, there's another responsibility. Your royal responsibility. So, which will you choose?" 

  Keira grinned. She knew that it was only for fun and they would let Calli choose whatever she wanted. But Sandro was practicing good communication. Calli even responded. Then, she crawled to her father's lap and snuggled with him like a kitten. 

  Once she entered the bathroom, she burned the paper through the candle and placed it in the sink, waiting for it to completely turn into ashes. Then, she washed the sink to remove the evidence.

  Meanwhile, in the Paradis Evergarden, Ian was currently watching outside while his wife was feeding their baby boy. He sniffled as he reached for the tissue and wiped his nose. 

"Babe, did you drink your medicine?" Tracey asked as she pulled the drawer to check if he had medicine for the cold. 

"I will get it." 

"Take a break tomorrow." She suggested. 

  He closed the curtains as he dimmed the lights. Then, he went to the bathroom to pick up the medicine that Tracey was talking about. He then went to the sofa and lay there. 

"Babe, here in bed." Tracey patted the big space. 

"I don't want to transfer this cold to you or Granger." He mumbled. "I should sleep in the other room." 

"Absurd," Tracey said while she was reading documents. Granger was fast asleep and she placed her baby next to her and tucked him. She approached her husband and checked his temperature. Then, she covered him with a cozy blanket. "I will get you something." 

"Thank you." 

  Just after Tracey leaves the room, his phone vibrates. He reached it and answered the unknown call. 

"Hello?" 

"Hey, Eagle. What's up?" 

"Uh~~fire breathing dra~~" 

"Yup. It's me. By the way, do you mind meeting me tomorrow night? It's not a date." 

"Great. Why?" 

"It's~~" Andromeda stammered. "It's confidential. So?" 

"Okay. Give me the address to my other number." He mumbled the numbers and then Andromeda hung up. "What was that about?" He mumbled and looked at the bed where his baby boy was snoring a little. He smiled as he peeked at his boy. He wanted to kiss him but since his throat was a little sore, he needed to move away. 

  He sighed as he waited for his wife to come back. It was like twenty minutes when she came back with a tray. The smell of gingers lingers around the room. He sat up and grinned at her. 

"You never take care of me like this." He said. "I should always be sick." 

"Don't be absurd. You are healthy." She sat beside him. She gave me a mug with boiled turmeric, honey, and citrus. He hummed and nodded his head. 

"I will be able to kiss you again if I am well."  1

"You will." She reached his forehead. "After you finish your ginger tea, you should be well by tomorrow." She caressed his handsome face. "And you can't bring our son to your duties. First, you need to recover and take a break tomorrow. Okay?" 

"Yes, boss." 

  She stayed with him for a while and then, she sanitized her hands and arms before she lay down beside her son. 

  She woke up suddenly when his phone vibrated. She sat up and checked it. He was sleeping peacefully as she checked his phone. But besides it is a small phone that he made himself where he receives confidential messages. She hesitated to check it but it lit up. She reached it and checked the message. 

Unknown: Let's meet up around 1800H tomorrow. 

  She creased her brows as lots of things started going to her head. Ian was a busy man and he didn't have time to cheat. But since he had a history she somewhat hesitated. She put it away as she pulled the blanket over his chest. She just needs to trust him on this although she will overthink a lot. 

  In the morning, she woke up early as her husband was still sleeping as well as their son. She went to the bathroom, did her daily routine, and when she went back to bed, Granger was awake as he was shouting like calling his father. She quickly picked him up and kissed his forehead. 

  It woke Ian up as he looked at them with a smile. Then, his small phone vibrates. He checked it and tapped on it. 

"Who is it?" She asked suddenly. 

"Andy," he mumbled as he headed to the bathroom. 

  She chewed her lips as she took her son to the crib to change his diapers. Shortly, he came out and went through the robe. 

"Babe, I will meet up with her but no one can know. Okay?" 

"Why?" She asked. 

"It's confidential. I think this is an emergency." He said. "I will leave later this afternoon. Okay?" 

"Take a break from work." She told him. 

"I will, love." He winked. 

"Is it really Andy?" She asked again. 

"Yeah," he said casually. He turned to her and stared at her. "Babe, what's wrong?" 

  She shook her head. 

"Babe," he called again. 

"Is it really important?" She asked again. 

"Yes, I will tell you after our meeting. But no one can know." 

"I trust you." 

"Do you?" 

  She looked away as she still felt a little anxious.
