More Backfire

  At the time that Kennedy and Danica arrived in the country from their week vacation, the news of the bombing incident was in front of the mansion. Somehow, it made Kennedy anxious that they would target his wife. So, he quickly called Hannah Grace who answered it after three rings. In the background, there were laughing and kids giggling and a few were crying. 

"Hey, Ken." She greeted him casually. 

"Look, I'm sorry that I called but~~" 

"Oh, is this about Janella?" She interrupted.

"Yes, are there more bombs planted so I have to evacuate my wife?" 

"Oh, I don't know about that but I assure you that the truce between us is still valid and your wife is safe. My sister-in-law plays by the rules." 

"Do I have to be aware and take my wife away from the mansion?" 

"Ehhh, I don't know. I will ask my sister but they are currently busy. Okay, so. Why won't you take your wife and yourself somewhere away from the mansion? I am sure that~~"

"Okay, great. They didn't put something in my car, right?" 

"I am not sure, okay? Let me call her. Just a moment." He was put on hold and shortly, she came back. "Hey, so. I spoke to her and she said that she only planned one for a while and it doesn't involve your wife. So, my advice is to take away your wife from Janella."

"Oh~~kay." Kennedy sighed. "Alright." 

"Great, bye-bye." Hannah Grace hung up. But still, Kennedy was very much scared that it might happen to Danica. 

"How is it?" Danica asked. 

"Don't go near Janella, okay?" 

  Danica was a little puzzled but she nodded at her husband. 

"I will set up the penthouse. Stay there for a while." He makes a lot of phone calls to set up a penthouse in the global city. She might enjoy it there and it was near to any stores as she could buy things that she wanted to eat. 

"You aren't coming?" She creased her brows. 

"I will be with you but I have to deal with a lot of things." He said, like a promise. 

  It took only two hours when his men called. She was also done packing whatever she wanted to take with her. She also didn't have time to meet up with her grandfather.

  Keira sighed as she slouched on the comfortable seat on their private plane. Work was loaded and she got Johanna to help her for two days. Finally, a long vacation. However, she still has to take care of their little darling because right now, she's currently over her father's chest while Alessandro was attending a last-minute meeting. This is the life of rich people who are earning a lot of money for their families. 

  It wasn't always showing off or buying useless stuff. They have to earn it before they spend it. 

"Cole," MJ called while she was busy checking the bags and the kids' stuff. "Where's Dione?" She looked around. 

"Back seat, mommy. With Bunny." Cole said as he ran to the backseat to check on Dione. "She's here." 

  Dione giggled like she got caught from hiding and seek. 

"Dione, you are giving me anxiety," MJ mumbled. 

"Calm down, everyone is here." 

  He then looked at the kids who are currently settled together. 

"Dione," She called as she put Kaiden on the baby seat just beside Alessandro. Calli quickly moved to Kaiden's and knocked off the laptop in front of him. She got irritated when Alessandro made sure that she wouldn't fall. 

"Alright," 

  Keira stood as she took Dione and put it beside Kaiden who turned her head to him ready to play. Sandro picked up the laptop and opened it again. 

"Apologies for the interruption." He mumbled as he nodded his head. "Continue." 

  Keira shook the rattle in front of the babies that were completely ignored. 

"Sorry," MJ mumbled. 

"Are everyone here?" Harvey asked as he looked at the kids. "Okay, where's Uncle Gray?" He asked the kids. They giggled and shortly, Gray entered as he had run. 

"Sorry, sorry. We are ready to go." Gray said. 

  Harvey looked around and took out the checklist. He called out their names and once it was complete he went to the pilot seat where currently, Leon was busy checking everything. 

"Okay, captain. Are we ready to set off?" He asked as he sat down.

"Yup." He said. He checked the cameras on the passenger seats. "This is Captain Chameleon and we are ready to set off to the dreamland." He said. 

  Back in the passenger seat, they make sure that everyone has their seat belts on and the babies are in their baby carriers. MJ finally relaxed once she sat beside her son Kaiden. She closed her eyes but she made sure her other hand was over her son's thigh. 

"Hey, you need to relax," Keira said. "The babies and I will have fun." 

  MJ sighed as she smiled at her. They just need to land safely in the country. That way, she will be relieved.

  Janella was awoken again by some noise. She was groggy but she needed to move and to know the noise. 

"Who's there?" She asked. It was blurry but a man in a black suit turned around with a machete in his hand. She gritted her teeth as she tried to move. But the drug that was injected into her made her paralyze. "Don't you fucking dare or else~~" 

  She then looked at the door as a clown entered with a knife. She screamed as she tried to hit them and defend herself. But when she woke up again, a nurse came to check on her. 

"Miss Janella." The nurse called. "Your heartbeat is fast. Are you alright?" 

  She looked around at both clown and the machete guy. She relaxed and someone entered again. She glared at Kennedy who looked chilled. 

"Oh, you are awake." 

"Did you install guards outside?" Janella asked. 

"They aren't software, Janella. Yes, we have guards outside your room twenty-four seven." He looked at her arm. "That looks hideous." 

"I will kill that bitch." She mumbled. 

"You underestimate that Crown Princess. You didn't research more about her, right?" 

"And who is she?" 

"That's because her files were deleted. All of it." 

  It only means one thing. Janella realized that after Kennedy confirmed the woman's files. 

"That's right. Harvey didn't marry someone average. That woman had a high background." He said. "Stay here and stay away from my wife so she won't get involved with your bad luck." Kennedy left after leaving that message. She was already stressed and Kennedy added more of it. 

"Morphine." She told the nurse. "Give me 1 ml of morphine." 

"We can't do that, Miss." 

"Now!" She exclaimed at her. "Make it three!" 

  The nurse quickly left.  1

  She's already stressed and she needs to know where they are right now. She needs to know all of it. So, she pressed the button as another nurse rushed to her. 

"Call my secretary." She said. "Call Griffin." 

"Yes, ma'am." 

  She stayed there patiently as the doctor gave her a dose of morphine. It was good stuff and it takes an hour for the people she summoned to arrive. Griffin slouched on the sofa instead of asking about what she felt or something. Then, her secretary quickly asked what she wanted to do. She exhaled and glared at Griffin. 

"I want to know all about her. Harvey Del Carlo's wife. All of it." 

"She's a badass," Griffin commented, laughing over something. 

"Griffin, are you fucking dumb? Why won't you ask about me or something?" 

"My bad, apologies." He pressed his lips. "How are you, sis?" 

"I feel dead, Griffin." She answered with a glare. He nodded his head. 

"I'm sorry for what happened to you. But don't worry, I will take over while you are having your long vacation." 

"Take over?" She gritted her teeth. "You are dumb, Griffin. Don't take over." 

"But, grandpa already asked me." He said. "I don't want to take over as well, but he threatened me." 

  Janella knew it. This will be hard for them. She can't move and her mind isn't functioning well. The Rossie Empire is already ahead of her. They are taking a move already and she feels that the gems are far away. She can't stop thinking about it. 

"Oh," the secretary exclaimed and gave a card to her. "From the Dragon Empire." 

  She tried to move her right arm but she failed and winced. She then uses her left arm and tells him to open it." 

  He opened it by pulling out the seal and showed the card to her.

I won't speak in circles. But the Air gem in your hands is a dangerous thing. Please hand it over before it causes more chaos. If you don't hand it in within three days, more bad luck is about to come. 

The Air gem manifests the flow of bad luck and good lucks. It also creates destruction and changes with the weather. So, I, Dragon, pleading with you to give us back the air gem before anything else would happen.
