Swirling Emotions

  She's been staying in the penthouse for days now. Danica felt like a prisoner again. She only knew that she was safe because of the truce that Hannah Grace and Kennedy signed. But again, she doesn't want to go back to the mansion as she would feel unsafe. She already feels unsafe everywhere. 

  But the time that she found out that her brother was back, she felt safer. Probably because he will turn over the Serpent. However, she got this feeling, probably anxiety that even him~~she doesn't feel safe. All she knows is he's a psychopath. Not just a simple psychopath but he is a control freak. He can manipulate anyone with his fingers. 

"Danica, I bought your favorite," Kennedy called out that catching her attention. She turned to him and smiled. "It's so hot outside." He took the tablet to check the temperature of the whole penthouse. 

"How's your day?" She asked as she opened the paper bag. 

"It was something. Your brother is not interrupting any of my work but he was doing something else in the lab." He reached her stomach and caressed it. "How's our baby?" 

"He's doing fine." She smiled at him. 

"Your brother is something. I understand that he wanted that country." 

  She stopped taking out the box from the paper bag. 

"He's~~different. He's obsessed with that country. So, he will do everything to take it." 

"Well, do not overthink everything now. I will take care of other mothers." He then walked to their room leaving her in the living room.

  The maids started preparing their dinner while she sat down on the sofa and took out the cake that she was craving. She reached her small bump as she rethink how Kennedy takes care of her. She's not the one he loves and what he only loves was the baby with her. So, she's doing everything to protect the baby and give birth to it. 

"You've been staring at that dessert," Kennedy said as he reached her shoulder and he bent down and kissed her top head. "Let's have dinner." 

  She nodded her head as she took the box to the kitchen. Then, she put it on the fridge as she sat on the chair that he pulled for her. She looked at the food that was prepared by the Chef that Kennedy hired for whatever she craves. They were eating silently and in the middle of their dinner, a doorbell rang. One of the maids checked as one quickly approached them.

"It's Sir Luke." The maids mumbled. Kennedy nodded his head as one of the maids quickly set up a plate and utensils for Luke and it was aligned. Luke entered the kitchen and pulled a chair for him. He walked around first as he bent down and kissed her baby sister's head. "Well, well. You looked gorgeous." He said as he sat on his seat. 

"Thank you, brother." 

"No need to be too formal, my dear." He said as he looked at the food. "That looks delicious." He said as he took the meat steak knife and checked. No stains, no fingerprints… Everything is clean. "You kept everything tidy here, sis." He said. 

"The maids are doing their job." She told her. "The wagyu steak is delicious. You should eat." 

"I should," Luke said. He's a picky eater so he took one and sliced it. "Tender and juicy." He said as he checked each of them. Then he took it to his mouth and chewed. He didn't want to be rude so he only nodded his head. 

"What brings you here?" Kennedy asked as he casually ate in front of Luke. 

"Nothing. I just want to check on my sister." He smiled, flashing his perfect white teeth. He put down his fork and knife as he propped his elbow over the table. "I was wondering… since you interacted with Hannah Grace you might have known that she has a daughter." 

"I just found out not too long," Kennedy said. 

"Her daughter is interesting. She's a little Princess of Paradis Evergarden." 

"I heard," Kennedy said. 

  Luke exhaled through his nose as he looked at his sister. 

"She's an adoptive daughter of Del Carlo, so they named Hannah Grace's baby Princess. After the other Princess." 

"Right, right." He smiled. "They will do everything for those kids, right?" 

"Right. Like mom did for you." She said as she stared at her. "Do not involve children here, brother. They know nothing about this mess." 

  Luke only smiled. 

"I was just wondering how they would do everything for them," Luke said. "How about you, brother-in-law. Have you thought about what they would do?" 

"They would massacre your family and everyone in the Serpent," Kennedy said. 

"But if those kids were already dead~~what's the use of revenge?" 

"You don't understand," Kennedy smirked. "Janella underestimated the Crown Princess. Look what happened. And never trigger Hannah Grace or the Crown Prince… if you added Victor it will be chaos." 

"Oh, don't be. We already sent out the spies that they planted." 

  Kennedy stared at him and shook his head. 

"Can we not talk about this over dinner? It's not good for Danica." Kennedy said without showing many expressions. 

"The food is perfect," Danica told the Chef who was preparing the dessert together with the cake that Kennedy bought for them. 

"Thank you, my lady." 

  She then turned to Luke with a frown. 

"Do not do that, brother. I will despise you. Have it with adults~~but, not children. Even the Rossie is so respectable that they never harm the next generations in our family. You know that." 

"I don't. Thank you for reminding me." Luke stared at her and she knew what he was thinking and it was twisted. 

  She ate the last piece of her steak as she looked at her husband. 

"Can I have my dessert?" She asked. 

"Certainly, dear." Kennedy nodded his head.

  Hannah Grace~~Johanna sneezed and so was her daughter. She thought that Quinn was mimicking her. 

"Are you cold, my love?" Johanna asked as she took the towel and covered it with her. 

"No. No. I want to swim." 

"Okay. It's already night, my love." 

"I want~~me-maid." She giggled and walked to her father. 

"She's so adorable," Keira said.

"She learned how to swim in a short time. That's amazing." She said, 

"Dione did too," MJ said. 

"Yes," Johanna turned to MJ. "How can she learn to float like that in a short time? I think these kids would love the pool so much that it will be hard for them to ask to take a break. It's dark now." 

"Ella!" Quinn called in a very adorable sweet little voice. "We swim now. Ion!" 

"Girls take a break. Please." Harvey told them. "You can't swim all night. You will get sick." His phone rang again. "Oh, come on." He answered it again. 

"Alright, twenty minutes," MJ told them. She put a timer on. "Twenty minutes and everyone is out of the pool." 

  Johanna soaked in the pool to swim with her kids as Cole, Jaime, and Alexa were still having fun. Shortly, Quinn jumped as they waited for her to swim up. Johanna quickly swam down and watched her baby girl swim deeper. But she pulled Quinn up and held her up. Quinn gasped and giggled. 

"No. Don't do that. Okay? You can't swim deeper." She told him. 

"Pissy, pishy next?" She asked. 

"Oh," She nodded her head. "Next time we will go to the big aquarium. We can swim there if you want." 

"Yay!" She giggled. MJ soaked in the water as Dione jumped and learned to float so she wouldn't drown. Finella did the same and she held on to the floating donuts and big ducks. She held on to one as her mother took a video of her.  0

  However, the boys are getting drunk in the yard as they talk about business. It was all about business. 

"My little girl is too adorable that I won't let any boys get close to her," Alessandro said while he had Calli in his arms while they were drinking. She was well behaved as she listened to them, cooed every time to respond after removing her pacifier, and she would put it back and look at the boys arguing or discussing. 

"Your daughter can marry my future son?" Travis said.

"My daughter will be older than your son. She can kick his ass." Sandro said as he looked down at Calli. "Right, baby?" 

  She removed her pacifier and cooed as an answer. 

"Great. Calli got it." 

"I am curious about how she understands it. It was casual." Zachary moved closer to Calli. "Calli, come here." He showed his hand to Calli acting to take her. The little girl was obedient as she also reached her hand to Zach. Suddenly, Sandro looked heartbroken as he watched Calli go to another dad. Zach kissed her top head and had her over his left lap. He nearly squeezed Calli as he was about to kiss her cheeks but Sandro quickly pushed Zach's face. 

"You got beards and you didn't shave. Not on her damn face, ass." Alessandro exclaimed. 

"Sorry." 

  Zach kissed Calli's small hand instead. 

"She will stay with me." He said. "Keira, I am officially adopting your daughter." 

  Sandro gave him a daggering stare. 

"Sure," Keira said casually. "She's high maintenance." 

  Somehow, Calli frowned and reacted to her father. But the overall expression is adorable.
