Grieving

  Kennedy found a job but somehow, he was very much worried about his wife. 

  Danica was grieving as everyone. She loved her grandfather so much and just recently, she received a handwritten message from her father. The man who was searching for them was someone that would protect them so Luke wouldn't be able to kill her and her baby. She thought that her grandfather had turned his back on her after she fled with Kennedy. 

  Kennedy stood in front of her room as he hesitated to knock. 

"I got wagyu," Kennedy said. "Do you want me to cook it or do you plan to have something else to eat tonight?" 

  Danica looked at the door. She sniffed and wiped her tears as she slipped off of the bed. She opened the door and hugged him. Kennedy patted her head with his left hand while his other arm was wrapped around her back. He understands that she's sad and grieving. Everyone had their way to grieve. He didn't say anything as he didn't know how to comfort someone. 

"I want the wagyu." She mumbled. 

"Great, I will prepare it then."

  He held her hand and took her downstairs. She sat on the counter table as he took out the meat from the freezer and soaked it in the water. He prepared other ingredients that will come along with the meat. She was currently holding a bank account that the man gave to her. 

"Grandpa set up a bank account for me." She mumbled. "Enough to give our baby a good life." 

"That's great." He said as he washed the vegetables. "You can't have anything fancy once the baby comes out." 

"Y-yeah." She mumbled. "I only have ten Hermes in my closet now." She sighed. 

"It's not that bad." He grinned at her. 

  Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Both of them looked at each other. Kennedy opened the secret drawer as he slid the gun into his waistband at the back. He went to the living room and peeked at the peephole. He froze upon seeing Andromeda Mondragon outside. He hesitated to open it but he still did open it. He cleared his throat as Andromeda smiled wide. 

"Hello, Ken." She entered the house without being invited. She didn't remove her shoes but she stood still under the mini carpet. 

"Andromeda, what brings you here?" Kennedy asked as he looked at his wife who peeked in the corner. 

"Well, this is regarding your cousin." She said as she directly looked at Danica. "Well, she's still rich and has that  big business but she needs to keep her nose out of my gems." 

"What?" Danica was confused. "My grandfather is dead. Luke is dead and there's no way that she will have a fund for that." 

"Oh, trust me. She does. She sneaked billions of dollars from your grandfather before everything happened. Also, she still had that obsession toward my gems." 

  Danica was speechless as Kennedy stepped in. 

"Andy, she doesn't know anything." He raised his hand to block Danica. 

"She doesn't know. That's why I am here." Andromeda said. "Somehow, she will call you in a few hours. She also had Luke's wife and his child. I want you to tell her this." 

  Danica pressed her lips as her hands started shaking. She feels like she's going to have an anxiety attack at any time. 

"Run far away and never find the gem. Or else, MJ will kill her." 

"MJ~~" She mumbled. 

"Yes, she's the woman who killed your brother, Luke." 

  Danica's hand started getting frozen. She opened and closed her hand as the current was flowing trying to freeze her hand. Her heart started palpitating. Kennedy reached her hand and held it. 

"Well, there's one more." Andromeda sighed. "Your sister, Wendy. She's not your father's daughter." 

  Kennedy frowned. 

"Andromeda, please. We just need a~~" 

"I already matched her DNA with your father. Unfortunately, he's the brother." She turned back and reached the door knob. "Also, you have someone that your grandfather kept. You knew well that the Phoenix Empire is not dead and he made a backup plan even though he's dead." 

"I don't know anything," Danica mumbled. 

"You knew her though." Andromeda glanced at them. "You got a nice house here. But if Janella called you to know what to do." Andromeda left. 

  Kennedy hugged his wife and patted her back. Andromeda came all the way in Canada just to mention something that would make their mind crazy.

  Gray was packing up his things to leave the country and helped out the kids with their schooling. For days, he's been really busy and he has a headache. Hannah Grace hasn't been talking to her for days now. He was also blaming himself for the death of Henry. He didn't see it coming. He was still thinking about how that happened. He's been focused and something just blocked him. Is there another one who can foresee the future and try to get into his mind? Is there someone that he didn't notice? 

"Gray," Karmina knocked on the door as he turned around to meet her eyes. "You are leaving early?" She asked. 

"Yes, the kids need to prepare for their exams and~~" He shrugged. "I hate it when Hannah Grace hates me." 

"She doesn't hate you." Karmina approached him and reached his hand. "You did well. You didn't foresee that and everything you do isn't always perfect." 

"You didn't hate me?" Gray asked. "I~~I was there protecting you and Henry and Hannah Grace… I am sorry." 

"Hey, don't be sorry. You did everything for this family and country. I am sure that she will come around. She's not entirely someone who holds a grudge to a family." 

"I hope you are right." Gray pulled out his hand and zipped his bag. "How's Keira?" 

"She's~~" Karmina sat on her bed. "She's busy preparing for the movie. She will get it over soon. Sandro was there for her." 

  Gray nodded his head as he sat on the bed. He was grieving as well but he needed to be strong as he still blamed himself for losing Henry. Henry is everyone's father. Even the kids were missing him. Keira, Harvey, Karmina, and Johanna were mostly affected. 

"You should see her," Karmina suggested. "Hannah Grace might be dangerous. There are times that she lacks empathy but she's sensitive." 

"I~~I will try. She still scared the hell out of me." Gray chuckled. 

"Just~~approach her." Karmina patted him. 

  Once Karmina left, Gray picked up the box that was meant for Johanna. He went to Johanna's room and knocked. He opened the door when no one responded. He peeked at the side where Quinn was sneaking out money from her mini-vault. Johanna was asleep and he whispered. 

"Psst. Quinn." He waved at her. She turned around with an adorable expression. He waved at her again. Then she walked to him. "Give this to your mom and do not waste your money." 

"No wessing. I imensment." She told him. 

"Okay fine." He took out two dollars from his pocket. "Give this to your mom. Tell her that Gray is sorry and I would like to be friends again." He put the money in her purse. "That's yours okay?" 

"Tekyu." She said. 

"Make sure that you tell her what I told you." He whispered. 

"Okay." She nodded her head and looked at the box. Then, she opened her hand to him. "Okane." 

"I just paid you." He mumbled. She shook her head as he sighed and took out his wallet and gave her a hundred dollars. He then stepped back as Quinn closed the door in his face. He frowned and stood as he scratched his head. Did he just get scammed by Quinn?

"Why gave her, okane?" Kal asked and put his hands over his waist as he shook his forefinger at him. 

"Well, I have no choice. Quinn already scammed me." 

  Kal sighed as he made that dramatic face smack. 

"Tata said no to giving money to Kin-kin." 

"But I already did." He explained. 

  Kal sighed, shaking his head as he left him. 

  Gray also shook his head as he went downstairs. He bumped with Connor who looked at him.  2

"Oh, by the way. I was trying to speak to your wife." Gray stopped him. 

"Okay," Connor crossed his arms. "So, what happened?" 

"Your daughter was awake, sneaking money from her vault. I just gave her a hundred and two dollars." 

  Connor sighed. 

"You shouldn't." 

"It was a favor." 

  Connor clicked his tongue and smacked his butt. 

"Alright, I will handle it." 

  Gray winced as he wanted to punch Connor for harassing him. Those two indeed kept harassing him and somehow, he missed it. After Henry's death, he rarely sees Johanna and he rarely sees her and hears her speak. He happened to pass by the music room where Keira was playing her cello. He stopped by the door and watched her play with closed eyes. Her baby girl was sitting on the carpet, wondering at her mother who was playing the cello. It was captivating but Keira was crying while playing it. His heart shattered to pieces. 

  He turned back, his heart heavy as he went up to his room. He needs to focus on raising the kids now.
