Iris had a choice to refuse, to not get involved and Cane wouldn't pressure her to do otherwise. Probably, this was part of his guilt for what he had done to her in the library, thus he gave her as much freedom as he could give to her.

Though it would set back with his plan a little bit, but in a bigger picture, it wouldn't have any impact for the whole thing.

"Think about that carefully," Cane said. He caressed her earlobe, which made her squirmed and caught his hand. He knew she was ticklish whenever he touched her there, but he kept doing it anyway.

Iris held his hand and put it down, putting it away from her ear.

"I need to do something tonight and I need your help," Cane continued talking, as if there was nothing happened.

"What can I help you with?" Iris lit up. This was the first time for Cane to really say it to her that he needed her help, thus she was so eager.

"Mother, is not fair!" Alan was screaming like a child to his mother. He had been in lady Cyan's place for hours, but no matter what lady Cyan told him, he refused to listen. He kept screaming at her that he wanted those people from the Howling Wolf pack to be punished, for whatever reason.

He was so mad that Cane got his hand on the golden stamp. The alpha could do whatever he wanted and with the stamp in his possession, he could even order him around, the thought of it alone nauseated him. How could his mother be so calm about the whole ordeal?

"Not everything is about you!" Lady Cyan finally snapped. She was usually very rational and calm, but she had reached her limit. Having an idiot son like Alan was a pain.

She would rather have a great enemy than to have stupid people followed her because those people could be her doom without her realizing it, as they dug their own grave and dragged her with their stupidity.

"I can't accept this!" Alan roared.

A harsh slap landed on his face, which made him stumbled on his feet and fell on his back, but what followed after that was something that made him widened his eyes in horror.

Alan clutched his neck, he couldn't breathe. He felt suffocated, as if someone strangled her and he looked at his mother in fear.

"Talk to me like that again and I will make you regret to raise your voice on me." Lady Cyan's voice was so cold, her eyes didn't hold any warm, neither she looked like a gentle mother that everyone perceived of her.

The rumor about her was proven right that she was a witch, since she came from Andelus continent, the same place where the Holy kingdom located. Most of the people there used to use magic, but for the people in this kingdom, it was still unsure, whether lady Cyan was a magic user or not.

But with this, it was certain that she was one of the magic users.

"M- mother…" Alan stammered, he was afraid of his father, but he was even more dreadful of his mother whenever she lost her temper. Behind the scene, she was the one, who pulled the strings.

"Get to know that merchant from the Karam continent and get him to your side, understood?" Her voice was icy. There was no mercy in her beautiful eyes.

Alan nodded, because he couldn't speak now.

The more powerful magic user was, the more they could conceal their magic power from the other, thus it was hard to tell if there was a powerful magic user in the same room like you or not, unless they couldn't control their power and reveal themselves.

"Now, get lost!" Lady Cyan released Alan, as the crown prince crawled on his feet and arm to get away from this room as soon as possible.

He dreaded his mother, there was no slightest doubt that she would kill him, if she was really pissed off. There was something more powerful than this whole kingdom about his mother, as lady Cyan had the king wrapped around her fingers, though she kept low profile on everything.

"My lady." Sarah, one of her ladies approached her and informed her about princess Osana's condition. "The curse is acting up again, right now, the princess is adamant for you to visit her."

Lady Cyan narrowed her eyes when she heard that, but she followed Sarah out of the room.

Black magic.

A magic user, who used black magic was only a handful and she was sure she kept on track, who were them, but for someone to use the black magic on the royal family and she didn't know, who was that, was something that irked her.

Who was this magic user, who dare enough to curse the royal family?

Iris was staring at Cane, as he started to shift into his lycan. His eyes turned red and Redmond stood by her side closely, he was being protective with her, which was not a good sight for the lycan.
