Because it was a quite large entourage, thus it was hard to find people because they constantly moved and only got a little time to take a break. 

Although their journey was not smooth sailing and they met a few monsters on their way, but there was nothing to be worried about. 

Everything went well until the seventh day when someone found two guards under Ethan's command, who died in the most gruesome way. Their body had been torn into pieces, their hands were crushed and their eyes bulged out of their socket. These two guards didn't even have time to shift into their beast and were killed silently. 

It was not sure how the murderer could get away and how no one noticed it. 

"From the look of it, they were being killed first before their bodies were dismembered…" Koda analyzed the situation. 

They had smelled blood, but because they just attacked by monster, they thought it was from those warriors, who were injured during the attack and had not yet healed completely. 

On the other hand, Ethan grimaced, not because he felt sorry for those two guards, but because one could see the hatred and anger the murderer had to get these two bodies were almost unrecognizable…

And the fact the gamma knew the culprit didn't help, because that man was right beside him, staring at the gruesome scene with callous expression. 

"I think that's the lycan." Will suddenly opened his mouth when Alpha Dristan discussed this problem with Koda. 

"The lycan?" Alpha Dristan turned around and faced Will, prodding him to explain more. 

Ethan felt his heart leapt into his throat, he was worried Will would say something that he shouldn't, but after he heard what he said and knew what he was trying to hinting, he helped with his reason. 

"I agree with Will. This only meant we are getting closer to the lycan. We need to tighten our security and double check the whole area."

Didn't know what to believe and Will and Ethan's explanation sounded rational, alpha Dristan and Koda chose to believe them and did the way Ethan had suggested. 

However, once it was only the two of them, Ethan pulled Will aside and made sure no one withing an ear shot before he berated him. 

"What do you think you were doing?!" Ethan hissed viciously. "What if someone saw you."

"No one saw me," Will said simply, his eyes were dead. He looked numb when he admitted what he had done. "They deserved that. I don't want torture, I want to get rid of those pests."

Ethan had been giving those guards hell during their journey, but in Will's eyes it was not enough. The sight of them was a scourge for him. 

"Will!"

However, Will didn't want to listen to Ethan, as he immediately left. 

On the other hand, the gamma couldn't find fault in his action, since it helped to strengthen the story about the lycan came from the Riverside pack and they had gone to the right path, as there was a proof, they encountered the cursed beast. 

"Was it him?" Avid approached Ethan and asked in low voice. 

"Hm."

"He becomes more and more unrecognizable. What actually happened to him?" Avid clicked his tongue. He had seen how Will avoid Hanna like a plague, but once the woman didn't notice it, he would be around her, especially at night, he would intentionally guard near her.

Iris slowed down her pace once she was alone after she left Redmond behind in the stable. She ran away because she was embarrassed by what she was saying, not because she was angry at him. 

"Ugh. What did I just say…" The tip of her ears turned red. She fiddled with her dress and stared at the distance, currently, she was walking in the hallway of the second floor and from the distance, she could see the crowd. 

Tonight, alpha Gill held a party for the other four alphas from Chrystal Moon pack, Bloody Wolf pack, Silver River pack and Diandem pack. Cane had requested this and in attempt for alpha Gill to kiss his ass, especially when he heard Red Claw pack marched here, he agreed easily to call the other alphas. 

More so, he felt safe with all the southern alphas gathered together. His mood was so light and he bragged how he would kick alpha Dristan and all the mutts from the Red Claw pack, if he dared to cross his territory. 

Meanwhile, Cane had been very busy, there was something he was doing with Haco, as the sorcerer stayed by his side all this time. He introduced the sorcerer as the new member of the pack. They coincidentally met with each other and the alpha was generous enough to take this poor and homeless sorcerer under his wings. 

No one would question that story, but that was the explanation the king would hear about the sorcerer by Cane's side. 

Iris watched as the crowd entered the pack house and from the crest on the carriage, she knew these people from Silver River pack, alpha Gian. Iris also remembered all of these alphas visited the Blue Moon pack in the welcoming party, where she had to be introduced as a new slave of Cane. She remembered those dark days.  2

The sun was so bright and the weather became slightly warmer, thus Iris was wearing a thin cloak over her riding attire, she had her hair pulled up into a bun. This was afternoon and by night, a glorious party would be held. She could imagine what kind of lecherous act that would unfold. 

If she could, she didn't want to come, but to think of those women, who tried to seduce Cane, she felt very annoyed and irritated. 

However, because Iris was staring at the crowd in the distance, she didn't notice her surroundings. She didn't hear what he said, neither she noticed his presence. 

"What are you doing here?" Alpha Gill approached Iris, but then he realized she had her back against him and she couldn't hear what he said. "Ck! You have grown into a beautiful woman now…" he stared at her back with lust in his eyes. It was such a temptation to see that little girl bloomed into a fine lady. What a pity, he couldn't taste her. 

He was so close to have her when Cane introduced her as his slave in the welcoming party half year ago. 

Alpha Gill had wanted Iris to be one of his mistresses, but was rejected by Gerald. He wanted his only daughter to be marked by a strong alpha not an alpha from a small pack like Riverside pack. In term of wealth, Howling Wolf pack and Blue Moon pack could be said the richest pack in the south kingdom, since they owned the magic stone mines.

Alpha Gill saw Iris for the first time when she was fifteen years old and had been infatuated with her since then.

Filled with greed and lust, he moved closer toward Iris and covered her mouth from behind, so she couldn't scream, as he wrapped her waist and dragged her to the nearby room.
