The original plan was to make Iris stayed with him, until they returned to the capital city, but seeing the condition right now and what happened to her, furthermore the plan had changed completely, it would be better for Iris to go back to the Howling Wolf pack, as the journey would only take half a day. She would be fine. 

However, to Cane surprised, Iris refused to go. 

"Do you want to see his dead body?" Cane asked, to make sure he heard her right. This was the last thing, he thought Iris would ask to him. 

He saw it with his own eyes how afraid this girl was when he killed Vemion in her presence, she was shocked and couldn't utter a word. 

But right now, she asked him to take her to see Gill's dead body? 

"Yes. I want to see him… if he really died." Iris's voice trailed off, she stared at Cane, but her gaze was so distance, as if she was seeing something else instead. "I don't want to go back. I want to stay here."

Cane studied her for a while. He contemplated about his weird situation and her strange behavior. He could understand if she was crying and felt depressed, but instead, she looked like she was numb. 

"Okay." Cane nodded. "But, you need to eat your breakfast first." 

Iris didn't say anything and with that, Cane asked someone to deliver their breakfast, in which Iris ate only a few spoons before she pushed it away and he needed to coax her to eat some more, but Iris kept shaking her head. 

She didn't cry, she talked about what happened to her calmly. She didn't avoid the topic and she remembered everything. 

This was not how Iris used to deal with traumatizing event that Cane knew. She was not this calm when she remembered what Kellan had done to her when she was little. She even grazed the topic about Kellan in their conversation, but there was no emotion in it. 

She was not in the same mental state like Venna, but the truth… Iris was rather cold and this made Cane even more concerned about her. 

He had never seen this side of her. 

Meanwhile, in the capital city, the news about the death of the five alphas reached the king through the first flying hawk and a messenger immediately rushed to report it to him. 

Currently, the king was in bed, having a rough sex with Nala and lady Cyan when a knock could be heard from the door. 

"What the fuck is that?!" king Aeon roared because his morning was interrupted when he was in the middle of the deed. 

Nala's back was exposed to the king, her smooth skin covered with bruises and cuts, her hair tangled up and there were a few wounds on her arms that started to heal. She fainted a few times during the night, as the king vented out his frustration to her for the last few days, especially with how everything had happened and how the public favored the alpha from the Howling Wolf pack, they praised him to the moon and made a song for him. 

It was so rare for an alpha like him to devote himself to one woman, especially when he was willing to go through danger and chased after the cursed lycan to get his woman back. 

And the more people favored Cane, the more king Aeon enraged. This was what he was worried about. Cane turned his people against him!

"Important report, my king!" the guard said from behind the door. 

On the other hand, lady Cyan got off the bed, she took a cloak to cover her naked body. Compared to Nala, she looked fine. Her skin was as smooth as ever, she looked flawless, since the king didn't hurt her at all and she took all the pleasure, while Nala took all the brunt. 

"What is it?" Lady Cyan opened the door and stood there to receive the news. 

Because of the importance role of lady Cyan and how the king used to be seen with her openly in the last few weeks, the guard reported it to her instead and handed the envelop, which explained in detail about what happened in the southern pack. 

From inside of the room, the guard could hear the king's labor breathing and Nala's whimpering voice, as she was in so much pain. 

It didn't take a genius to know what was going on inside of the room, more so, Nala had been confined inside for more than three weeks. 

Her father had asked to meet with her and the king let Leon to watch his daughter was being fucked by the king. He was not allowed to avert his eyes. 

And every time he asked to meet with Nala, that was how they would meet, without any exchanged words, with that, Leaon stopped his request. 

"The five alphas in the southern packs were proven guilty because they collaborate to perform black magic," the guard concluded the contain of the letter. 

"What?!" Lady Cyan widened her eyes, as she gritted her teeth. She opened the letter and read quickly. 

The letter was not long, but it said everything they needed to know about how alpha Cane found Vemion's head in the Riverside pack, his arms in the Chrystal Moon pack, his legs in the Bloody Wolf pack, his upper body in the Silver River pack and his lower body, his abdomen, in the Diandem pack. 

Alpha Cane from the Howling Wolf pack had taken the matter at his hand and delivered the punishment to those alphas for treason.  1

The evidence was so loud and clear that those alphas had joined hand to perform the black magic and summoned the lycan, as the poor fourth prince was the sacrifice for it. Thankfully, Luna Iris could be saved, or else, she would end up like prince Vemion. 

"What kind of rubbish is this!?" Lady Cyan gritted her teeth.
