Activity for the three of us?
Everyone in the mansion gathered in the reception area, as Heaven instructed. Dominic was also there, sitting elegantly on the couch while all servants stood behind him.0
"I'm sorry."
Surprise immediately turned up on everyone's faces as their eyes went wide. Some almost gasped as they stared at the young master bow several steps before them.
"I'm sorry for worrying everyone," Sebastian repeated as he uncurled his back. "Rest assured, I will not do it again."
He glanced at his mother, who was standing by his side.
'I'll see to it the next time this happens, I'll leave an extra note,' was what he wanted to say after his apologies, but decided to keep it to himself.
Meanwhile, Heaven maintained a big smile. But the smile lines on her face twitched upon seeing everyone's reaction. If she didn't know better, she would think all of them had seen a ghost!
Have they not witnessed a child apologize if they were wrong? But then again, this child was not any other child. He was Sebastian Zhu, the beloved young master of the Zhu Family.
"Well." Heaven clapped, bringing everyone back to the current lapse. "My son is sincerely sorry for what he had caused this morning. I'm sure a lot of you were worried sick, but that wasn't his intention."
Her body stiffened upon sensing Sebastian's gaze. Not only that, but everyone's expression told her they didn't believe her remarks even a tiny bit.
Who could blame them? Most of them had been in this place even before Heaven gave birth to Sebastian. They knew him more than she knew her son. Thus, they wouldn't expect anything like this from the young master.
"Do you mean it?" Dominic broke his silence after several seconds, warranting Heaven and Sebastian's attention. His eyes were fixed on his son. "What you said… Did you mean it?"
A little…
"Yes." Sebastian lied. His father didn't speak for a moment, assessing the boy's face.
Dominic slowly rose from his seat while saying, "Since he apologized, return to your respective posts. I would like to have a private time with my wife and son."
The servants looked at each other before lowering their heads. None of them idled — even Mrs. Deng kept quiet.
As the servants left one after another, Dominic darted his eyes between the mother and son duo. He then settled his focus on Heaven.
"Sebastian, go back to your room and rest. I will talk to your mother…" he trailed off when his son seized a step closer to Heaven's side.
Sebastian reached for Heaven's hand as if to show he didn't want to part ways with her. If he could, he would have hidden behind her, but also, that would hurt his young pride.
"What do you think you're doing?" Dominic frowned at his son's out-of-character actions.
"Dominic Zhu." Heaven frowned, moving Sebastian behind her. "Basti already apologized. If you want to talk to me, then let's talk later. He is still in shock at what happened."
In shock? Wow!
Sensing that her husband's mood wasn't getting any better, Heaven sighed. She squatted down beside Sebastian, holding his hand gently.
"Baby, how about we rest? You traveled so far and it must be tiring." She smiled.
'Baby…' Sebastian disliked being treated like a child or being called one. But coming from her, it didn't sound annoying. If anything, it felt strangely pleasant.
Sebastian nodded, squeezing her soft hands. "Fine." — but stay with me was what he wanted to say, but didn't want to sound demanding. His mother might get tired of him faster if he kept requesting things from her.
"Then, should Mommy stay with you?" she asked with a welcoming smile, catching him off guard.
"Ye — yes." Sebastian looked down to hide the subtle smile he couldn't stop from showing.
Her smile broadened, squeezing his hand mildly before standing up. Heaven faced Dominic once again.
"I'll just tuck him in. Let's talk later, okay?" she asked, softening her voice so he wouldn't misunderstand.
Dominic didn't reply immediately as he just stared at her. Not that Heaven waited for his reply as she re-shifted her focus back to their son.
"Let's go?" she urged, and with that being said, Heaven and Sebastian left for his room.
As the mother and son walked away, Dominic kept his eyes on the two of them. A shallow breath escaped his lips, unaware of what to do with this. He always wanted Heaven to treat their son nicely, but now that she was being nice, he didn't know what to feel.
'Now he is acting more like a child.' He didn't know whether to feel relief or worried. 'On the other hand, I'm more worried about her.'
That was correct.
Heaven barely knew her son. Although the boy wasn't a bad person, this boy mastered the craft of manipulation. It was the reason many people couldn't say no to him and those who were aware of Sebastian's nature were terrified of him.
Dominic checked his watch before shoving his hand inside his pocket, taking his phone out to make a phone call.

"Basti, should we redecorate your room?" Heaven inquired as she sat beside the bed.
"Why? Is there something wrong with my room?" Sebastian asked back, looking around his room. It was the same as how he left it.
"Well… nothing." Heaven shrugged. "I just thought it looks a little plain. Wouldn't it be better to add more colors to it?"
Sebastian rubbed his chin, pondering about it. "Now that I think about it, Father's bedroom was rearranged. Should I ask everyone to move your things in here? But then again, my room is smaller compared to Father's."
"Haha. Basti, you got me wrong." Heaven chuckled as she fixed the blanket over him. "We have plenty of time to plan what theme and design we will go for. I think it's a good activity for the three of us."
"Activity for the three of us?"
"Mhm!" Her smile stretched wider as she nodded, ruffling his hair gently. "An activity for the three of us. But I have to ask Daddy to make time for it."
"I'm fine, even if he doesn't participate."
"But he's the one who'll be paying for the materials." Heaven chuckled. "Anyway, rest first, alright?"
Sebastian instinctively pinched the hem of her shirt while his brows rose.
"Don't worry." Heaven held his hand, understanding what he left unsaid. "I'll be here until you sleep and even the moment you wake up."
Little did they know, Dominic was already standing by the door, leaning his side against the jamb, arms crossed, eyes on them.
