Heaven slowly opened her eyes and the first thing that welcomed her was her husband's dashing face. The side of her lips instantly curled up in satisfaction, cupping his face. Her thumb caressed his cheek gently.1

'He's really handsome even when he's asleep,' she thought, admitting she wouldn't get enough of Dominic's beauty. 'Be it in my previous life and the current one, he's the most handsome man I've ever laid my eyes on.' 

Although her view on people — men in particular — played an enormous factor in her previous life, that didn't change her belief. Dominic's face was like no other. Of course, there were people out there who were also good-looking, but Dominic was different. 

'Maybe I'm just biased.' She thought, smiling. 'But he's really my type. Not just the face, but also the body, the size, and the performance.' 

As Heaven mentally listed all the good things about Dominic, his long lashes fluttered open. The first thing he saw was how her brows rose briefly before her lips stretch until her even-white teeth were on full display. 

"Good morning." Her voice sounded sweet in his ear, making him smile subtly. 

"Morning." Dominic closed his eyes once again as he pulled her body closer. "You're up early."

"Thanks to you, I slept early." She humored, looking up at him. "Are you going to sleep some more?"

"Mhm." Dominic simply hummed, rubbing her back with his fingertips. "You too. Sleep some more."

"But I'm already awake. Moreover, I have to prepare breakfast."

"If you keep taking the chef's job, he might lose his job."

"It's not like I have other things to do. I promised Basti to make him breakfast, and I also need to make you a lunchbox."

Dominic reopened his eyes, drawing his head back to look at her. "You have other things to do."

"I do? Like, what?" Heaven arched a brow, unaware of what he was saying. 

"Staying with me here." 

Heaven blinked as she processed his sentence. "Should we move the kitchen near our room?" she suggested half-heartedly. 

"Dominic Zhu, I know what you're thinking, but I won't let you." Heaven pushed him away slightly, looking at him with eyes full of criticism.

Heaven slipped away from his embrace as she sat up, clutching the blanket to cover her bosom. Mischief slowly dominated her face, pulling the blanket as she flung her legs out of the bed. 

Dominic was left with nothing to cover his bare top. Fortunately, he slept in his pajama. Heaven didn't want to get dressed last night, saying sleeping without one was much more comfortable. There was nothing to hide, anyway. Moreover, he kept slipping his hand under her shirt, so getting dressed was useless.

"This is too sudden for the morning," he pointed out, propping his elbows against the mattress. "May I know what this means?"

"A strategy." She lifted her chin in arrogance, smirking like a cat. "I realized just now that if I keep feeding you until you're full, you might not crave it. Giving you a taste should be enough to keep you coming back for more."

Heaven clutched the blanket higher. "So, no morning sex for today!" she announced before dragging the entire blanket with her to the bathroom. 

Meanwhile, Dominic could only stare at her figure as she struggled to carry the weight of the blanket. He laughed when she gave up, letting go of the blanket and rushing to the bathroom with no clothes on. 

"Just what is going on with that head of hers?" he wondered, appalled at how her mind would jump into something that didn't even cross him. "What makes her think I'd be full? But I guess getting a taste of it isn't bad. I'd just keep coming back for more since she said so herself."

Dominic collapsed on his back once again. He turned his head to check the time, only to see it was just past six. It was still too early since Dane would fetch him at ten in the morning. He got plenty of time to rest and idle.

"Gosh." Heaven glared at the shut door of the bathroom, scrunching her nose up. "If I didn't get away, I was certain he would make use of his morning wood."

She shook her head and sighed, looking at herself in the mirror. Last night was intense, but they didn't overdo it compared to their first night. Thankfully, Dominic let her rest after just three rounds. He probably fell asleep right after too, seeing how refreshed he was the moment he woke up. 

"Now that I think about it, is he a vampire or what?" she mumbled while looking at her exhausted reflection. "Why do I look so haggard while he looked so handsome and young? Is he sucking my youth?"

Impossible.

Heaven sighed, dragging her feet to the shower. "This body surely needs exercise. If having sex is a battlefield, I'd be dead."

In all honestly, what she spewed to Dominic was utter bull. The very reason she slipped away from him was because her body wouldn't survive another round anymore. She felt like all her muscles were beaten up and her bones were as soft as tofu as if she went into the gym for the first time in her life. 

This wasn't the response she wanted from this body. It only goes to show her knowledge and skills were all for naught if this body wasn't physically fit. She had to move around. Who knew when another attack come her way?

Heaven had to be physically fit to protect herself. She couldn't protect anything if she couldn't protect herself, and that fact was clearer today.

"I really had to squeeze hitting the gym into my schedule," she told herself as she went for a cold shower to help her get herself together. 

She shouldn't allow her other priorities to stray her from uncovering the mystery behind Heaven's death. After all, no matter how peaceful and good things were now, one fact remained. Whoever killed the original Heaven was walking around freely in the same mansion her husband and son lived in.
