[Bonus chapter]Fat chance!
"Sorry, I'll be running late. Something came up, so I couldn't make it in time." Paula bit her bottom lip as she apologize to the other person on the line. "Yes, I know. Don't be angry — I'll be there! No, it's okay. I'm on my way now."
"Paula." Heaven sighed. "Be here immediately. I still have other appointments today. Gosh. Didn't you say you were going to make it up to me? Is this how you show your sincerity?"
"I know it's my fault, Heaven! But I didn't want to be late as well. Just wait for me, okay? I'll be there in ten minutes! No, five!"
"Fine." Heaven rolled her eyes. "If you're here in ten minutes, I'll leave."
"Yes. Don't worry. I will not be late!" Paula and Heaven talked about time for another minute before the line ended.
As soon as the call ended, Paula scoffed at her phone. She sneered before lifting her eyes, setting them on the people in an establishment not far away. From inside the van, she could see Heaven and Leo sitting opposite each other, chatting.
Of course, she wouldn't be late.
Paula had been here at the same time Leo approached Heaven. She didn't plan for them to meet just on their own. Her original plan was for the three of them to get together. It changed because Leo arrived earlier than they agreed.
'It turned out much better than I thought.' The corner of her lips curled into a smirk, keeping her eyes fixed on Heaven and Leo. The two sat by the corner where everyone could see through the transparent glass.
"That dumb bitch. Did she think sitting where she can display herself would garner attention? But well, her stupidity still makes it easier for me." Paula lifted her chin as she sat back comfortably.
"Did you take good pictures of them?" she asked the person in the front passenger seat.
"Ah, yes." The lady in the front seat handed her the phone, which Paula took immediately.
As Paula leaned back, she checked the photos her manager took. Her smirk stretched broader in satisfaction.
"This is good." Paula nodded, pleased at how smooth her plan turned out. She swiped at the rest of the photos, making her mood even better.
Just looking at the photos, the two looked like they were on a date. Even though Heaven and Leo weren't intimate, just being together in a single photo was enough to spark rumors. And that was the goal, to create a rumor between Heaven and Leo.
Both of them could deny it to stop the rumors, but the public was not Paula's target. It was Dominic and the entire Zhu Family. A rumor like this was enough to ruin a marriage. Considering Heaven and Dominic's relationship was "fragile," this was enough to get Heaven kicked out of that house.
"I'm surprised she didn't throw herself at him the second they lock eyes with each other. Leo had been her crush, after all. Moreover, she couldn't stop smiling whenever she gets a message from him in the past," Paula commented. "But well, considering she was depressed for the past five years, it will take time."
Paula had an idea.
'If I create more opportunities like this, then it wouldn't take long for them to fall for each other.' A giggle escaped her smirk, covering it with the back of her hand. "Leo still likes her, and I'm certain she still likes him."
After all, there were times Heaven would ask her about Leo in the past. Although those times were around five years ago and then gradually stopped, Paula wanted to believe Heaven was still into him.
"He can have Leo." Paula put down the phone as she turned her head in the mirror, smirking. 'Compare to Mr. Zhu, Leo is nothing. Mr. Zhu is the better steal.'
"Turn around and make it look like I just arrived," she ordered, without taking her eyes off the two people in the cafe.
With that being said, the van she was in moved away as ordered.
Surely, Paula wanted everything Heaven had. Heaven wasn't the only one who had a crush on Leo back then. Paula as well. However, Heaven didn't just rise to fame quickly, she was able to be close to the nation's favorite, Leo Wu.
Meanwhile, Paula was just a small-time actress. If not for Dominic's help, Paula had to admit she didn't know if she would ever have a break to showcase her talent.
Life for Heaven had always been great. From having a loving dad to being an overachiever and popular in school and then in career and love. Paula's life was always the opposite. She always struggled while Heaven didn't.
'You... are not better than me, Heaven. Never again.'

"Is everything all right?" Leo asked as soon as Heaven ended the phone call. "Are you and Ms. Shen fighting?"
"Ah?" Heaven snapped her eyes back to the man across from her. "No. It's just normal bickering between friends. We had an argument last time. That's why she's trying to make it up to me."
"I see."
"Don't worry. We've been friends prior to entering the industry," Heaven explained, snapping her eyes outside. She caught a familiar van from the distance. Her gaze followed the van until it left her sight, and then a few minutes later, the same van returned. 0
This time, instead of parking on the side of the road, it stopped in front of the establishment. When Paula came out of the van with a cap and huge glasses on, Heaven mentally hissed.
'So, she's been here since earlier, huh?' Heaven smiled brightly at Leo as she said, "She's here."
"Oh?" Leo looked back, not knowing Heaven immediately pulled her phone out, taking a video of Paula's entrance. "You're right — that was quick. She's probably in a rush so you won't get angry…"
Leo trailed off when he faced Heaven again, only to see her holding her phone as if taking a video.
"There is the latecomer~!" Heaven happily greeted Paula, taking a video of the latter approaching. "Gosh. You're late, Paula. Senior Wu is here. You didn't tell us you'd meet us both at the same time. I and Senior Wu were very surprised!"
Paula paused, furrowing her brows as her eyes fell on Heaven's phone. "I'm sorry for being late — Heaven, are you taking a video?" she tried to reach for Heaven's phone, but the latter swiftly moved it away.
"I'm just recording evidence!" Heaven playfully remarked, ending the video, as if that was enough. "So, the next time, you can't deny that you're making your dearest best friend wait."
Leo chuckled, treating Heaven's action as silly and innocent. Paula also laughed, but there was a tinge of nervousness in them.
'Heh.' Heaven maintained a playful smile, but inside, she was sneering. 'Do you think I'm dumb to fall for such petty tricks? Fat chance! If I survived death itself, what made her think I won't see through her ploy?'
As Paula took a sit, Heaven quickly sent her husband a message.
