[Bonus chapter]Nice catch

There were days Heaven wished she knew nothing about the underground world. If only she didn't have a deeper understanding of that side of the world, she would have lived her life in blissful ignorance. But at the same time, she was grateful.  2

If she was oblivious, she was bound to lose everything without even realizing it. Her husband, her son, this new life, and everything. If Dominic fell, her life would be over. And that was an unchanging fact. 

After their meal, Heaven went to the gym to clear her head. Thanks to Dominic's assistance and vigor in bed, her body quickly grew used to her fitness routine. Meanwhile, Dominic went with Sebastian after the meal, telling her not to worry about him as he would help their son go through his nightly routine. 

With that being said, the three separated to spend the next two hours settling on what was needed. 

The first hour passed in a blur as Heaven almost didn't notice the time. She hit the gym without a problem, successfully clearing her mind and concocting a plan to prepare for the worst. Her only goal was to prevent any harm befell this family and at the same time, get to the bottom of her concern. 

After she finished her fitness routine, Heaven immediately went to shower to prepare for their first family movie night. The thought of it thrilled her, wanting to focus on spending the next few hours enjoying it with her husband and son. She could deal with this maid later. 

Thus, half an hour before the two-hour mark, Heaven went to the mansion's cellar to grab a bottle of wine for her and Dominic to enjoy while watching a movie. She could use the rest of the time to make quick snacks for Sebastian.

But alas…

"Wow… it's not the first time I've gone to this place, but it's the first I get to appreciate the wine cellar." Heaven looked around, her jaw falling as all types of wine were in this place. 

Aside from the collection of luxury items, she used to have a collection of wine. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say she enjoyed collecting wines more than other things in her previous life. Therefore, her appreciation of the mansion's cellar was different. 

"Surely, Dominic's taste is something." Heaven stood in front of the enormous wine rack, looking up and down in search of the perfect wine they could enjoy. 'It's our first family movie night. Therefore, we need to celebrate it with something… special.'

She rubbed her chin, gazing up to see if there were any better. Since the wines in the mansion were countless, there was an available ladder for someone to use to get those at the top. Having used to have a slight obsession with wine, she could recognize its worth at one glance. 

"That one!" Heaven grinned, dragging the ladder to the side and setting it up. She climbed up the ladder, taking out one bottle. Her face brightened up in satisfaction as soon as she rolled the wine, reading its label.

'There's only three of this in the world. I used to have two back then,'she thought, checking the rest of the wine near where she got it. 'This is the last one, but considering tonight's celebration, this is perfect.'

CLANG!

Heaven's brows rose upon hearing a slight noise inside the cellar. Gazing down and moving her gaze a little further, her eyes landed on a young maid. She was carrying a tray of clean cutleries, looking up at Heaven with slightly dilated eyes.

[She's a new maid hired a few months ago. If I remember correctly, her name is Andrea. She has short hair and a huge scar on her arm.]

'A bob hair…' Heaven studied the maid, noticing the burnt scar on her arm. '… and a scar on her arm.'

How could she forget Sebastian's description of the maid he met that night on his way to the roof deck? After all, the new Heaven had been in this house for over a week. She at least knew the faces of the servants, but this was the first time she had seen this servant's face after one week. 

The reason for her suspicion upon hearing Sebastian's description of the maid rose to a certain degree. Because she didn't have any recollection of anyone in the mansion who had a huge scar on her arm. 

"Uh… I didn't know you are here, young madam." The maid broke the silence with a nervous voice, placing the tray on the shelf near her. "I was just returning these to the shelf. Do you need help?"

"No. I got what I wanted." Heaven raised the bottle slightly, smiling. "Can you catch it for me? I might fall if I go down while holding it."

"But —" Before the maid could reason out, Heaven tossed the bottle to her. The maid jumped a step, catching the bottle on instinct. 

"Nice catch." Heaven grinned while the maid hugged the bottle, wide-eyed. 

The maid slowly raised her dilated eyes to the young madam of the mansion, only to see Heaven climbed down the ladder. 

"You know? If you didn't catch that, Dominic will be furious. That bottle cost more than a million, you know?" Heaven remarked as she was climbing down, jumping off the ladder when it was only a few steps. She marched in the maid's direction, stopping in front of her to see the servant up close. 

"Fortunately, you got fast reflexes. Or else, it will take you years for you to repay that single bottle," added Heaven, opening her palm as a gesture for the maid to hand it over. She maintained a friendly countenance while the maid couldn't conceal the slight surprise in her shaking eyes. 

"What are you waiting for?" Heaven tilted her head to the side. "Give it to me."

"Uh, yes." The maid cleared her throat and bowed, handing over the bottle of wine to Heaven. However, instead of taking the wine, Heaven suddenly grabbed her arm.
