Getting to know her

One of the many things that made Hera so powerful was the information she holds. She knew everything that was going in and out of the underground, and even the movements of the authorities. It was as though there was never a secret she didn't know, and how she does it had been the biggest mystery those who were after her took time to have answers.  2

And even the answer they got originally came from her. They wouldn't know what was her secret until she told them on her own. Whatever the reason she had that time, no one truly knew. However, one fact remained.

Hera was the worst type of villain.

In this day and age, information meant power. But alas, holding such power also attracted danger beyond words.

Just as they said, ignorance was bliss.

In the underground, just simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time could be a death sentence. Especially if one overheard something they shouldn't have or witnessed something they didn't mean to witness. It was the very reason Heaven didn't want to associate herself with anything in her past.

Resorting to regain her access to the underground made her feel like standing at the gates of hell. It wasn't pleasant. Not even a bit.

Heaven first checked the central information of the country, searching for Andrea's name or any records for this person. Nothing. Aside from Andrea's personal information, there was nothing on her. She had no criminal record or such.

'I'm not surprised. That woman wouldn't even take a step in this house if Dane Zhang didn't go through any background check on her,' Heaven thought, moving on to the list of information she had from the underground.

Heaven typed Andrea's full name, and much to her dismay, she wasn't in Hera's records. Her stern expression turned hard as another glint flickered across her eyes. Even if Hera died years ago, the information in this system would automatically update once the system went online.

"If she's not in here… haha." Heaven chuckled while shaking her head, combing her hair with her fingers. "How can I forget?"

Changing names, identities, and even personal information were common in the underground. One could even buy legitimate-looking documents, their past, and even their stories. Everything can be bought—not just a person's death, but also a new life, identity, and such if the price was right.

"This will be a long day for sure." Heaven stretched her neck from one side to the other. "How I wish Jester is here to do the job for me."

Searching for someone nameless was a troublesome task. This had happened in the past, but there was someone equally capable of doing that for her. It was something she disliked doing, after all. Regardless, Heaven had no other choice.

Heaven tied her hair up as if that would help her, working at the computer for the next few hours. The screen kept showing multiple tabs, only to disappear as Heaven continued her search. She had to constantly check her privacy as she accessed sites illegally, making sure no one in the underground and the government would know she had snuck into their system.

After hours of hard work, Heaven let out a scoff as a profile appeared in the middle of the screen. She got it from Hera's storage system.

Name: Andrew Song

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Crimes: Theft, burglary, drug trade, prostitution…

Heaven reached for the glass of water before leaning back and reading all the information regarding Andrea. Who was originally Andrew Song, a 29-year-old small-time felon in the underground. Based on the list of crimes, Andrew Song was the common type of felon doing petty crimes before getting involved in much cruel world of the underground and becoming a foot soldier.

Stories like this always start with either prostitution or illegal substances. As for Andrew Song, it was both.

Just reading all this information about this person gave her goosebumps. If this was before, Heaven wouldn't even bat an eye. She wouldn't even check who this person was, to be honest. Andrew Song was far too insignificant for Hera to waste the slightest energy.

But this time was different.

"I can't believe someone like him is lurking around my son." Heaven ground her teeth while gripping the glass in anger. "Both Dominic and Basti were just within her reach. What the fuck is Dane Zhang doing?"

If only Heaven could be irrational, she would've blamed Dane Zhang for his sloppiness. However, she couldn't underestimate the underground. Especially when Hera personally planted her soldiers to infiltrate all government agencies during her time.

The best concrete example was Bear.

The General recommended Bear. She couldn't blame Dane Zhang because, no matter what he would do, he would never win against Hera's plans and schemes. After all, Bear got this new life, thanks to her.

"Never mind. What's important is that…" Heaven narrowed her eyes, scrolling down to read more information about this Andrew Song.

Normally, the information Heaven would read was what organization a person came from. Or if they had family or any weaknesses she could use to her advantage. But alas, Andrew Song had no family. He had relatives, but according to his profile, he didn't have any communication with them because of his gambling addiction.

In other words, Andrew Song, who now goes by the name Andrea Ng, was all on his own. And this very reason was what caught Heaven's eyes.

"He lost his father due to a fire accident?" Heaven whispered, reading every word of the person's background before deep lines appeared between her brows.

What caught Heaven's eyes was the following information:

[ 17 years ago, a fire accident occurred as many protesters fought for their rights against the LYON Group. The Lyon Group had claimed the land in the Terra District, but because the land had illegal occupants…]

[ Five people died because of the fire while fifteen were injured. ]

"I see…" Heaven read the history until the end, understanding that one of the people who died in that accident caused by the tension between protesters and the Lyon Group was Andrew Song's father.
