[Bonus chapter]Screw him
While Heaven and Dominic were making up the time, they didn't talk to each other, Sebastian idled in the master's bedroom. The little master of the Zhu family wasn't lying when he said he liked his parent's bed. Not only it was wide, but it was soft like clouds. 0
"Little Master?" Miriam came inside after a knock, standing on the side of the bed where the little master was lazing around. "It's time for a bath."
Sebastian kept his attention on his mother's phone, making Miriam furrow her brows. The little master had no shortage of gadgets. Having been born into this family, Sebastian could get anything he would ask. Dominic might control him one way or another, but Sebastian was pretty spoiled by his father's family. Even Axel spoiled him rotten.
"Can I have five minutes?" Sebastian looked over the phone, putting it down on his stomach. "I'll just finish this game really quick."
Miriam furrowed her brows. "Alright? I'll be back in five minutes then."
"Thank you." Sebastian smiled brightly, watching Miriam walk away. He could see the slight puzzlement in Miriam's actions, looking back at him before leaving.
Understandable. Even though Sebastian had no shortage of gadgets, he preferred reading books. He believed too much screen time would affect his vision.
"I didn't know Mommy also has an app version." Sebastian slowly set his eyes back on the phone as soon as Miriam closed the door. "Was she getting her orders here? Considering her computer just arrived, that must be it."
PING.
His brows rose as a sudden notification appeared on the upper right side of the phone. Curious, Sebastian clicked it, only to be redirected to a different page.
[???]
"Hmm?" Sebastian cocked his head to the side, staring at the three question marks on the screen
[Who in the world?]
The little master blinked as another message popped up. "Is this person my Mommy's colleague?" he wondered, only to realize how the first two messages were constructed.
'Can he see me?' wondered the boy, panicking a little. But his panic was short-lived as soon as another message appeared.
[Hey. There's only one person who has access to this software. Who are you?]
"One person?" Sebastian mumbled, only to reply, "Then what are you doing here?"
[...]
The person who messaged him through the app didn't answer anymore. However, when Sebastian tried to type once again, the phone glitched.
"Huh?" Sebastian furrowed his brows, trying to take control over the phone but to no avail.
All the little boy could do was watch the phone glitch. No matter how he touched the screen, nothing was happening. Soon, a clown suddenly appeared in the middle of the screen and the phone restarted on its own.
"Oh, no…" Sebastian sat up on the bed, watching the phone restart back to the default screen. He checked the phone once again. Heaven's phone didn't have any passcode. Therefore, Sebastian didn't need to guess.
Much to his dismay, the phone seemed to have been reset.
"Am I… in trouble now?" he murmured, pursing his lips into a thin line. "Did that person mess with my Mommy's phone?"
Worry swirled in the little boy's eyes as he didn't know how much more documents and files were deleted. Heaven had been nothing but kind and sweet and loving towards him. Therefore, he was afraid she would get angry and not talk to him like she used to.
'I'm scared…'Sebastian looked around to see if there was anything he could do. However, even if his eyes landed on the computer set, he still didn't know how to retrieve the deleted files.
Knock knock
Sebastian flinched when a knock came on the door. He turned his head, only to see Miriam peek her head in.
"Little Master, five minutes is up." Miriam stepped inside, holding the door open.
"Miriam."
Miriam furrowed her brows as she noticed the fear plastered on Sebastian's face. She immediately went to him, squatting on the side of the bed.
"Little master, is there something wrong?" asked Miriam worriedly. "Why are you sad?"
"Miriam, do you think Mommy will not love me anymore?"
"What?"
Sebastian gazed down at the phone, lifting it up between them. "I broke her phone."
Miriam gazed at the phone. "But it was working?"
"I mean, it got reset."
"Oh…" Miriam rocked her head in understanding before she smiled warmly. She stroked the boy's hair with affection. "Of course not, little master. I'm sure the Madam will understand."
"But there might be important files here."
"There's nothing more important for her than you." Miriam nodded reassuringly. "If you explained to the madam what happened, I'm sure she will understand."
"What if I just don't tell her?"
"Then she might get angry."
Sebastian frowned. "And why is that?"
"Little Master." Miriam reached for his hand, holding them between hers. "It is better if you come clean on your own instead of lying or putting the blame on someone else. Those things will not fix things, but instead, just put a temporary fix in it. It's better to take accountability than run away from it."
"Is that so?" Sebastian sighed, eyes falling on his mother's phone.
"Yes." Miriam nodded, waiting for him to raise his head once again. "For now, you should take a bath. I'll help you with the madam later once she finished her discussion with your father."
Sebastian didn't answer immediately. There was still reluctance in his eyes, but in the end, he nodded.
"Fine," he said, holding Miriam's hand and following her to freshen up.
Little did he know, somewhere across the globe was sitting in front of multiple monitor screens. The room was dark and the light from the monitors barely gave light to half of his lower face as a hoodie shielded his head.
"Who in the world?" The man chewed on a lollipop, staring at the highrise apartment on the main screen. "Did some rich motherfucker hack into the boss's account? I'm going to screw this motherfvcker."
The lollipop's stick broke as he clenched his teeth, eyes glinting at the highrise apartment on the screen. The man didn't idle, turning his head to the other monitor to book a flight to the country where the person who hacked into the software lived.
