1"I'm… sorry."

Sebastian hung his head low, standing in front of his mother and father. After bathing, Miriam encouraged him to tell what happened to Heaven. Since Heaven and Dominic were still in the living area, Sebastian came straight to them with Miriam's help.

"Basti…" Heaven sighed, casting Dominic a look. 

"I'll take a bath first." Dominic flashed her a subtle smile, nodding at her. "Or do you need my help here?"

"It's okay." Heaven smiled back. "I can manage."

"Alright." Dominic didn't idle, casting Miriam a look. 

"Yes. I'll help the chef and prepare dinner." Miriam bowed, leaving right after Dominic.

Heaven glanced over her shoulder as her husband left. She then slowly set her eyes ahead, sighing as soon as her eyes fell on her son. 

"Basti," she called with a gentle voice, watching him peek at him. "Come here, Basti."

Heaven tapped the space beside her. Sebastian pursed his lip into a thin line, reluctantly dragging his feet to her side. 

"I'm sorry," Sebastian expressed in a tiny voice, fidgeting with his fingers while keeping his head down. "I didn't mean for that to happen."

"Basti, can you please look at Mommy?" Heaven sighed helplessly, waiting for him to look back at her. 

The moment their eyes met, Heaven cupped his face. Another helpless sigh escaped her closed lips. How could she get angry at him? There was nothing Sebastian could do that would anger her. 

"Mommy is not angry, okay?" she started with a soft voice. The phone was just a phone, but your courage and admitting to your mistake were far more valuable."

Her eyes softened, brushing his cheek with her thumb. "You… made Mommy very proud, Basti."

"You're… not angry?" his brows rose ever so slowly, watching her shake her head. "You will not hate me again?"

"Huh?" Deep lines appeared between her brows, only to realize what he meant. For some reason, that question was akin to a knife cutting through her heart. "No, Basti. I will not hate you."

Sebastian's big eyes shone while assessing her face. When he heaved a sigh of relief, Heaven felt like something got stuck in her throat. 

"Basti, look at Mommy." She held his face, searching for his eyes. "I… will never hate you. Even if you cry, feel sad, or get angry, Mommy will always love you. I can never unlove you — ever."

If Heaven could say more to justify how much she loves this child, she would. However, an entire night was not enough to describe her heart. Even she couldn't find the right words to describe this love, after all. All she knew was that she would give everything to him and wish him nothing but the best. 

"Do you understand?" she continued. 

"Even when you're far away?"

"What?"

"When you're at work." Sebastian blinked, letting his innocence take over. Something he was always curious about.

"Of course," she breathed out, a bit confused at his question.

"Even when Uncle is always with you?" he asked once again, making her cold, rotten heart turn as soft as tofu. "Do you still love me, even if I'm not smart anymore?"

"Yes."

"What if once I grow up and I look like Daddy? Will you still like me?"

Heaven bit her inner bottom lip, finally getting a grasp of his fear. Even though Sebastian believed her excuse for why she had treated him coldly in the past, there was still lingering fear in his heart, which he never spoke about. After all, the original Heaven couldn't look at him for the reason Sebastian looked like Dominic. 

"I love you more than anything in the world." Heaven forced a smile, fighting the tears that were forming in the corner of her eyes. "Even if you make hundreds or million mistakes and even if you're not perfect, Mommy's heart will never change. I will always love you so so so much, and I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to do so."

Heaven lowered her head, moving her face until her forehead was resting against his. Her hands were still cupping his face, exhaling through her lips as her heart felt so heavy. 

'Heaven Liu…' Heaven closed her eyes, enduring the heaviness in her heart. '... I hate you but… I will always be grateful for bringing this child into this world.'

Sebastian smiled at his mother's comforting words, holding one of her hands that was on his cheek. Her hands were trembling, but he didn't point it out. When he opened his eyes, his mother already drew her head back. 

Her smile was small, but her face was beautiful, and her eyes were gentle. Being in this position, he could feel the sincerity in her gaze. 

It felt reassuring — more than ever. 

"Mommy." Sebastian suddenly hugged her tightly, making her raise her arms so he could hold her. "I love Mommy too! So much — infinite times!" 

Her eyes softened even more, stroking his head. "So Basti, don't be scared if you make a mistake next time, okay? Making mistakes is okay. Just tell Mommy the truth." Her lips stretched as he gazed up at her. 

"Mommy only wants Basti to be a good person, just like Dad," she added, keeping her hand on top of his head. "So, don't worry too much anymore, alright?"

"Mhm!" Sebastian grinned, only for it to fade as a sudden thought crossed his mind. 

"Hmm?" Heaven furrowed her brows, watching his expression quickly change. "What's wrong, Basti?"

Sebastian slowly released his mother, sitting upright. "Mommy, there's something I didn't tell you."

"Hmm? What is it?" Heaven cocked her head to the side, waiting for his confession. However, what her son was about to say was something that never crossed her. 

"The glitch happened when someone asked me who I was." Her brows furrowed even more at his confession, and then her pupils dilated at his next remarks. "Mommy, I found out your secret. I knew that you were a spy. When I saw the same logo from your computer on your phone, I went to check the mobile version. But then, someone messaged me and told me there was only one person who can access the system. The phone glitched right after that and then it got reset."

Heaven's lips fell, wide-eyed.
