[Bonus chapter]Third wheel
"Drop me off at the cafe across the building." Heaven leaned back, casting the driver's seat a look. "I'll meet Paula."1
Bear bit his tongue to stop himself from saying anything unnecessary. It was already good they could talk about things, but there was a certain line he knew he shouldn't cross.
"Should I accompany you?" asked Bear as he entered the road heading to the building.
"No need. I'll just meet Paula across the street." Heaven snapped her eyes to the window. "Though wait for me in the lobby. I want to fetch Basti."
"Alright."
With that being said, Bear drove slowly and pulled over to the cafe she was talking about. When he looked back, Heaven had already opened the door and stepped out. His lips were left open, unable to tell her whatever he wanted to say as she closed the door with a bang.
"I guess that means she will just cross the street when she needs me," he muttered to himself, shrugging.
Bear didn't idle as he drove off, aware that he shouldn't leave Heaven alone because of her stalker. However, between Dominic and Heaven, Bear didn't want to rub off Heaven the wrong way. Dominic would just fire him and leave him a bad record, but Heaven might erase him.
'Not like she couldn't protect herself,' he thought, mentally nodding in approval. 'At this point, I'm just guarding her to make sure she doesn't kill someone by accident.'
In contrast with his thoughts, the corner of his mouth hooked up. Delusional as he sounds, Bear felt like he was simply continuing his service to his late boss. Bear's main duty back then was to make sure Hera would snap and accidentally kill someone in a moment of rage.

Meanwhile, Heaven perched on the chair outside the cafe. The weather was good, and the sunlight felt warm. It might help her warm up her dead soul in the absence of her husband and son.
"I'm surprised she's still alive," she whispered, shielding her eyes from the sunlight. 'Though I'm curious about what state she was in right now.'
Heaven dropped her hand, fixing her position. While she waited for her dearest best friend to arrive, Heaven busied herself with her phone. It had been a while since she checked her social media, but the time was enough to make her process the original Heaven's popularity.
'This new phone is surely different from the one I broke,' she thought, slightly pleased at how fast her phone was. Back then, she used to wait for a few seconds because her phone was an old model. "Well, I guess it's a good thing Basti went through my stuff."
No, it wasn't.
Her expression slightly sharpened at the thought. It wasn't that Heaven had forgotten about that night. Even if she wanted to, Sebastian would always ask her things such as if she could fight and how many enemies she defeated.
"But well, I guess it's not too bad," she whispered, shrugging. "As long as I can guard my territory, everything is fine."
A few seconds later, Heaven snapped her eyes at the incoming red Jeep. Its color was too bright under the midday sun that anyone would notice it from a distance.
'That's right…' Heaven let out a shallow breath, watching Paula and Primo step outside the vehicle. 'Everything is fine and I shouldn't think about that clown for now. There's still this abomination of a man I hadn't dealt with.'
"Heaven~!"
Heaven smiled, standing up from her seat to welcome Paula and Primo. She gazed at Paula from up and down, and then at Primo.
"It's been a while, Miss Liu." Primo smiled charmingly, receiving a smile back from her.
"It has been, indeed." Heaven shifted her attention back to Paula. "Paula, you didn't say you were on a date. I would've refused if I know you were with your boyfriend."
"Oh, come one. How can that be?" Paula pouted, not denying Heaven's teasing like she used to. "You are my best friend, so I want you and my boyfriend to know each other as well!"
"Oh?" Heaven blinked, pointing at them. "So, you two are officially dating?"
Paula blushed, casting Primo a sweet look. The man chuckled, grinning until all his teeth were showing.
"Yes. Miss Shen and I decided to take our friendship to the next level. So we're now officially dating." Primo faced Paula, eyes twinkling as if he was head over heels for her.
'Last time, you were calling her dumb…' Heaven kept her silence, but maintained a smiling front. 'Well, I guess that shouldn't be a problem.'
"Goodness. Did you invite me here to be a third wheel?" Heaven pouted playfully, earning the lovebird's chuckles. "But I'm happy for you guys, especially for you, Paula."
She then cast Primo a quick look. "Don't hurt her."
"I wouldn't dare," Primo humored, arching a brow at Paula. "I would be foolish to hurt someone like her. She's so precious… like a key to a vault."
'Ahh…' Heaven checked Paula's reaction, but the dumb girl was giggling like a teenage girl in love. 'Really. How can she not pick up on those simple innuendos? A key is a tool, hence, he's saying she's a tool!'
"Anyway, shall we go?" Primo clapped, darting his eyes between Heaven and Paula.
Heaven furrowed her brows, confused. "Go? Where?"
"Heaven, didn't you read my message? I said we'll be going to visit a place, so we will only pick you up." Paula frowned, reaching for Heaven's hand. "You should go."
'Since when did she want me as a chaperone? She always wants attention, and it's hard for her if I'm around.' Heaven narrowed her eyes at Paula, about to pull her hand from her when she felt how Paula's hand was trembling.
When Heaven gazed down at their hands, her brows creased. Paula had squeezed her hand as if she would force Heaven if she didn't agree.
'Why was she nervous?' wondered Heaven, looking up to meet Paula's eyes.
"You'll go right?" Paula smiled brightly, brows raised. "Hmm?"
The smile on Heaven's faded as she pulled her hand from Paula's grip. However, just before she could answer, loud alarms coming from across the street echoed. Both Heaven and Paula flinched at the loud sound, turning their heads to the apartment building across from the cafe.
"Huh?" Heaven furrowed her brows as soon as her eyes landed on the apartment building she had been living in. "What's… going on?"
