If Primo was out of the picture, Heaven would've sentenced Paula without dragging this to this extent. Her plans for her demise were easy. Something that would make Paula forget about acting altogether, or simply for her to regret betraying the person whom she claimed to be her sister, her family.  0

But Primo suddenly came and changed everything.

What made it worse was that the man approached Paula, thinking he could go closer to Dominic. If the new soul wasn't in this body, she could imagine just how close this man could've gotten in such a short time. 

After all, Primo was already living in the same building even before he let himself known to Heaven.

Just what could be this man's plan? 

What did he want?

And just how far would he go to get it?

Myriads of questions had filled Heaven's mind ever since meeting Primo for the first time. Primo never hid his intention from Heaven, after all. And that was what made him even scarier. He wouldn't reveal that he was simply using Paula if he didn't have any useful cards to play. Hence, the reason Heaven was approaching this matter with caution. 

"Did I fall for your trap?" Heaven looked around the private dining room before setting her eyes on the man across from her. "I don't see Paula around."

Primo chuckled. "I told her to come. Be patient, dear. Or do you want my company?"

"Do I look like someone who needs your company, Mr. Primo?" Heaven fluttered her eyelashes ever so tenderly. "You are using my dearest friend. So, it is only natural I am hostile towards you."

"I am using your best friend and you know that very well. Yet, you did nothing, Miss Liu." Primo flashed her a crafty smile, wiggling his brows knowingly. "I am the bad lover and you are the bad friend. That makes us… almost the same."

"Hah…" Heaven let out a dry laugh. "Almost, but not quite."

His mouth stretched even wider, tipping his head that resembled a slight nod. Primo carefully leaned forward, picking up the glass of wine to enjoy. 

"I already ordered us dinner, if you don't mind," he said. "Today was quite stressful. How could you people endure the energy that fame brings along? It was draining, or perhaps I'm just not used to it."

"Mr. Primo, did you call for me here to have dinner with me?" Heaven ignored his idle talk, assessing how languid the man across from her was. "What a waste of time."

"Oh, come on, Miss Liu. It is not I who is wasting your time, but your friend who is running late." Primo frowned slightly. "I am simply attempting to keep you engaged in an idle conversation."

"I do not have time for idle talk."

"Well." Primo smacked his lips, swirling the wineglass before taking another sip. As he put down the glass, he spoke. "Since you do not want idle talk, I presume a topic of who should cut off Miss Shen's head will keep you interested."

He blinked ever so tenderly, setting his eyes back to the dazzling woman across from him. "Surely, your beauty gets better and better the more I look at you. Pardon my random comment. It's hard not to admire such a masterpiece."

And this was probably the most honest remark he had ever said tonight. Heaven was a beauty like no other. Paula was also beautiful, but there was something in Heaven that could make most people look like backdrops. The inexplicable and dangerous air surrounding her just made it even better.

"I appreciate the compliment, but that won't pardon you for being a jerk, Mr. Primo."

"Please, I would love it if you drop the honorifics."

"No need." She smiled subtly. "I don't plan on feeling comfortable with you, Mr. Primo."

"That's sad." He frowned, leaning back until his back was almost fusing with the chair. "Well, anyway, back to our main subject. Do you want Miss Shen?"

"No."

"That was quick."

"If I want Paula, I would get her."

"Oh? That's interesting." Primo rocked his head, a bit surprised. "I thought you came here to save your friend. Considering I plan on disposing of her…"

He trailed off, thinking Heaven probably didn't get what he meant by his message. "Haha. Miss Liu, do you know what I mean regarding my message?"

Of course.

"If you're going to dump her, then do so. I only came here tonight to tell you to never contact me again." Heaven ignored all unnecessary remarks that could stray them away from any topic. "Even if you and Paula decided to continue this toxic relationship, leave me out of it."

Heaven grabbed her purse and pushed herself up from her seat. Gazing down at him, only coldness remained on her countenance. 

"I'll say this one last time, Mr. Primo," she said in a warning tone. "Don't try to get into my life because you don't want me to squeeze myself into yours. I believe our lives and worlds were already overcrowded. Let's not invite each other into them."

"I hope you will understand," she added, taking a step back before doing a neck bow. "Let's not see each other again. Please."

Heaven didn't plan to idle as she already said her piece. It was just as she said. She didn't want to go back to her old way. If she could ask him to stay away from her nicely, then better. Considering his situation, Primo should be careful now.

Not only his face was exposed to the public, and he had gained quite some attention, but Bear was also around her most of the time. Primo might be crazy, but she believed he wasn't foolish enough to move without considering his safety. 

"What if I said I don't want to?" her steps halted when he spoke, looking back at him, only to see him place down the phone he didn't initially hold while getting up from his seat. 

"Miss Liu, what you are asking shouldn't be hard. However, I think I had fallen in love with you at first sight." Primo marched toward her until he was standing a step before her. 

She assessed his face, unfazed by his remarks. "I doubt."

"Haha. I'm kidding." He grinned, laughing through his gritted teeth. "However… I'm serious when I say it's not that I don't want to."

Primo slowly bent over until his face was a palm length away from her. But he didn't stop, moving his head until his face was right next to her ear.

"Do you know why I approached Paula Shen?" his eyes slid to the corner, holding her side-eye. "It was because I thought she was your husband's woman, but sadly, it was fake news. Still, I am certain that your marriage with him seems legit. So now I want you."

He drew his head back slightly, smirking. "It's not that I don't want to stay away, but I had no choice but to fight for this love." His eyes gleamed with insanity, grinning at the fact she wasn't buying his nonsense, unlike Paula. 

"Man… Miss Shen would strip for me every time I say something like that." His eyes scanned Heaven's as this was the first time he looked at her face up close. "Truly… stunning. Dominic Zhu was probably growing crazy every time he looks at you underneath him."

"What a pervert," she scoffed, seeing Primo's real face at this distance. Now she was sure. This guy was crazy.

A psychopath.

"What… are you two doing?"

Suddenly, Paula's voice came from behind Primo. Her eyes were wide and shaky because, from her vantage point, it seemed the two of them were kissing. Little did she know, the moment her voice reached their ears, Primo smirked. Meanwhile, another layer of frost covered Heaven's face. 

'So this is his plan, huh?' she glared at the cunning man before her, but the latter just winked at her.
