Holy shit

Meanwhile…1

"They're taking quite some time, don't you think?" Moose walked up to Bear's side as the latter was staring at the track from the finish line. "I don't want to make you overthink, but those guys are also late. They usually come first or second."

Bear kept his gaze ahead, waiting for any sign of Axel and Heaven. It had been minutes since the last car reached the finish line, but Heaven and those rogues hadn't arrived yet.

"Won't you go there?" asked Moose, tilting his head to the side. "I can come with you and pray they are still warm."

"Shut up, Moose." Bear's expression darkened. "That is not a request, but a warning."

Moose shrugged, zipping his lips.

"I'll search for them if they hadn't arrived in ten minutes," said Bear.

"Ten minutes?" Moose scrunched his nose up. "Don't you think that's a lot of time? If she is here — I mean, if this was before, ten minutes is a lot of time, Bear. Anything can happen."

"But she said not to come to her."

"Huh?" Deep lines appeared between Moose's brows, eyes on Bear's side profile. Only then did Moose notice how Bear was secretly clenching his teeth as he held back from leaving to search for them.

"Bear," called Moose in a momentary gaze. "She's not… her."

Bear's breath hitched upon his remarks, turning his head to face Moose squarely.

"I know how precious she was to you — to all of us. She took a major part of my heart when she flew down to hell. But, no matter how much we longed for her or regret not trying even harder, she will never come back." All the shreds of playfulness on Moose's face faded as solemnness replaced it. "I didn't care much before, thinking you are simply doing what you do. But now, I can't stay silent anymore."

"She is not her," he repeated, stressing each word, hoping that would clarify things to Bear. "Do not insult her like that, Bernard. If you keep doing this, I'm afraid not only you will offend me, but those guys as well. They don't like you that much, after all."

Bear gulped as he balled his hands into a tight fist, only to release them ever so slowly. He couldn't look away from Moose; he couldn't even argue with the man.

What Moose said was nothing but the truth.

Heaven Liu was not Hera.

No matter how much Heaven's actions and ways resembled Hera's at times, Heaven Liu would never be Hera.

"Her death anniversary will be coming up. You should go. I heard those guys are planning something wild on that day." Moose cleared his throat, peeling his eyes from him. As soon as he looked ahead, he caught a light beaming at their vantage point from a distance. "There they are."

Bear slowly looked ahead and immediately recognized the vehicle. Axel used the one Heaven rented from Moose, so there wasn't much any confusion. However, as the vehicle approached closer and closer, Moose couldn't help but narrow his eyes.

"That…" he trailed off before his mouth fell open, wide-eyed. "Holy shit! What did they — aish!"

Meanwhile, Bear wasn't that much surprised at the wrecked bumper but at the person driving. His brows knitted, catching that Heaven was in the driver's seat while Axel was in the front passenger seat.

When the car stopped a few steps from the finish line, Moose and Bear watched Heaven step out from the driver's seat. The moment their eyes landed on her, both of them were stupefied. There was evident blood on her clothes and some speck of blood on her cheek and jaw.

Axel also stepped out, but unlike Heaven, he seemed fine. Although he seemed a bit rattled, he was overall fine.

"Hey!" Moose immediately recovered from shock as he stormed toward the car's bumper, in great distress upon seeing it up close. "What did you — hey! Oh, my goodness. What did you do to this car? I just borrowed it from a friend!"

His face turned red, fuming. "Yo, Miss Zhu! Can't you see what you —"

Moose couldn't even finish his sentence when Heaven suddenly tossed the key. He caught it in the air on instinct before he heard her saying;

"I'm sorry, but you should get angry with those guys in the backseat. It's their fault." She jerked her chin at the car and then faced Bear. "Did you win?"

Bear didn't answer immediately as he assessed her from head to toe. "Uh… huh…"

"Good job." Heaven weakly slapped his abdomen with the back of her tainted hand. She then looked back at Moose. "Since Bear won the race, I don't need to write you a cheque. Though we won't collect the original prize money."

"What?" Moose gasped, looking at the woman in disbelief.

How could she be so bossy around people?! No. How dare she boss him around just because he was nice to her this morning? There was only one person who could boss him around, and that was Moose's goddess!

"Use that money to fix that car and the rest for the hospital bill." Moose was so rendered speechless he could only listen to her remarks. "You should hurry if you don't want to taint your business because someone — a group died in it."

Heaven then turned to Bear and then glanced at Axel. "Let's go. I'm tired and just want to rest."

With that being said, Heaven walked past Bear indifferently. Meanwhile, Axel darted his eyes between Moose and Bear, sporting a conflicted look.

"Mr. M, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but you really need to hurry." Axel bowed before turning on his heel to follow her. "Sis, wait for me!"

Bear and Moose could only watch Axel follow Heaven, speechless. Not only they were surprised at the blood on her, but what was surprising the most was her nonchalance. Bear slowly peeked down, catching slight blood on his clothes because she slapped his abdomen with the back of her hand.

"Hospital bill?" murmured Moose, turning his head back to the car. He trudged toward the back seat and the moment he opened the door, a person fell over his feet.

"Holy…" his mouth fell open as he lifted his gaze at the people inside. He could barely recognize them as they were all beaten to the point they were unrecognizable. "... shit."

Out of curiosity, Bear marched to Moose and immediately caught the person who fell on Moose's feet. His eyes slowly widened when he looked closer inside.
