[Bonus chapter]Grade 1

When Heaven went to Paula's tent, she expected the latter to be in another terrible mood. After all, Paula was watching earlier and Heaven was observing her from the corner of her eyes. Heaven was aware that Paula walked away, fuming, drowning in anger and inferiority.  1

But much to Heaven's surprise, her expectation was unmet. 

"You seemed to be in a good mood, Paula," Heaven pointed out, sitting on the couch in the corner. 

Paula was sitting in front of the vanity mirror. She liked her spot there. 

"You're back? Did you finish your scene?" Paula cast Heaven a smile, making the latter raise her brows.

Heaven glanced at the bouquet on Paula's lap. "From a fan?"

"Hmm? Ah. This?" Paula carried the bouquet to show Heaven, smiling. "Well, you can call him a fan. He sent this to make me feel better, thinking I wasn't."

"I didn't know you were dating Paula." — wasn't she aiming for Dominic Zhu?

"I'm not." Paula pouted, peeling her eyes from Heaven to the flowers. "He's just a friend. That's all."

"You don't smile like that when a friend sent you flowers."

"Come on, Heaven. Why are you thinking like that?" Paula cast Heaven a look, chuckling. "He's just a friend. A sweet one. I'm smiling because I'm glad to have such a friend."

Heaven studied Paula. Staring at the latter, Heaven couldn't help but think at how normal their friendship could be if Paula was this unbothered. Paula didn't even seem angry about the work environment.

'I wanted to think there's hope in this friendship.' Heaven thought, pushing herself away from the couch. She strutted towards Paula, stopping at Paula's side.

"Hmm?" Paula raised her head to Heaven, only to see her staring at the flower in her hand. "What? Aren't they beautiful?"

The bouquet was formed with a variety of flowers. It was beautiful, the longer one looked as each flower complemented the other. However, Heaven focused on the flower with deep blue petals. 

'This one…'Heaven slowly shifted her eyes to Paula.

"They are beautiful." Heaven flashed Paula a smile. "This friend of yours, Paula, must like you very much."

"What?" Paula blushed a bit. "No. He's just like that."

"Who is he?" Heaven dragged her feet until she was leaning her side against the vanity mirror. "Is he someone I know?"

"No. I just met him recently." Paula bit her tongue, stopping herself from giving Heaven further details. At the back of her head, she didn't want Heaven to steal this friend as well. 

"He's not that important, Heaven. Don't worry. If I'm dating, you'd be the first person to know." Paula changed the topic, maintaining her smile before gazing down at the flower. 

Meanwhile, Heaven folded her arms while staring at Paula. 'Paula Shen, just who the fuck are you hanging out with?' she wondered, tilting her head to the side. 

'Oh, my god. Just look at this idiot. No matter how she denies it, she looks so happy.' Heaven put up a smile the second Paula glanced up at her. 'Does she know that flower can kill her? Well, I guess I don't need to do anything since someone else is trying to kill her.'

Heaven wanted to shrug it off since Paula did all sorts of things that were worthy of her hatred. She didn't care much about Paula and was only wasting her precious time on a cheap like her for the original Heaven. At least, in this way, she could avenge the original Heaven Liu. 

However, for some reason, Heaven was a little concerned. 

'Whoever this new friend of hers was… either held a grudge against her or simply had another ulterior motive,'she thought, thinking about what sort of person Paula was. 

To be honest, Heaven wouldn't be surprised if someone wanted Paula dead. Paula had a terrible attitude toward those who worked under her. She also offended other people if she knew they were just below her. Paula might have a talent for giving a good impression on others beneficial to her, but she was ruthless to those who had no value to her.

Therefore, she might've offended someone to the point they wanted Paula dead. Giving her a lethal flower that could kill her slowly might just be their way. 

'But who in the world… would think of such an elaborate method?' wondered Heaven. 'Unless this person is into botany, then that makes a lot of sense. The thing was… this plant doesn't grow in this country.'

"Miss Shen? The director is calling for you."

Suddenly, someone came to the tent to call for Paula. Paula looked back and smiled, telling the staff she would be coming up.

"Did you finish all your scenes today?" asked Paula to Heaven as she placed the flowers on top of the vanity mirror.

"I still have one more. I think we're doing a scene together." Heaven kept her smile. "But that's for later. I'm going to rest or maybe take a nap until then."

"Oh, I see. Very well." Paula picked up her script, smiling amicably. "I'll see you later. Don't forget your lines! I don't want to retake a scene because of you."

"That's harsh."

Paula just chuckled before bidding Heaven farewell, leaving the tent with her script in her hand. Meanwhile, Heaven stayed in her spot, staring at the entrance where Paula went to. 

'Paula Shen…' Another deep exhale slipped past Heaven's before her eyes fell on the bouquet. She unfolded her arms, picking up the bouquet Paula left on the table. 

"Hmm. They're so pretty," she whispered, studying the particular flower at a safe distance from her face. "A grade 1 on a poison scale, huh? He has quite the taste."

DING!

Heaven arched a brow when she heard a ping. Her eyes veered to the table, catching Paula's phone on it. 

"Look at her. She's so happy she forgot her phone." Heaven picked up the phone, only to see the notification on the screen.

I'll pick you up later. My work is done. What time are you going to finish?]

"One?" Heaven raised a brow. "I guess I won't know if this matter is worthy of my attention unless I see this person for myself."
