[Bonus chapter]Is she a spy?
"Oh, goodness."2
"Why?"
"Dom, stop teasing me like that. What if someone sees us?"
"They look the other way."
"Gosh…"
Heaven and Dominic flirted in the living area, not knowing there was another listening to their flirtatious giggles and chuckles. Sebastian balled his hand into a tight fist, glaring daggers at the back of his father's head.
'I knew it,' he thought, thinking that Dominic simply used an excuse that he needed to discuss something important with his mother. But his father's main agenda was to steal his time with her.
'This is how you want to play, huh?' Sebastian snorted, turning on his heel quietly. 'Don't blame me for what I'm going to do.'
Sebastian returned to his room, peeking through an inch gap in the door. Seeing that Axel was focused on the assignment his nephew asked him to answer, Sebastian closed the door once again.
'He will be busy for the next few minutes,' thought the little master, turning around with a pair of determined eyes.
Sebastian didn't waste any second, marching quietly to the master's bedroom. Since Dominic didn't keep the end of his deal, the little master found no reason to keep his end of the bargain. After all, he wasn't getting anything, anyway. He would only get a few hours of Heaven, and then his father got her the entire night.
As soon as Sebastian snuck into the master's bedroom, he looked around for his father's things. He first marched toward the bed, climbing over it and then standing in the middle.
"If I am correct, her size is like this…" he muttered, measuring the side of the bed with his little arms. "If she moves around while sleeping, she'd take this much space. And then if I sleep in here…"
The corner of his lips stretched into a mischievous smile. "He should get his own bed. We won't fit." Sebastian nodded in satisfaction.
To be fair, the bed in the master's bedroom was big enough for three or four people. However, Sebastian already planned to sleep diagonally or horizontally. Therefore, there wouldn't be enough space for his father.
"I like this bed!" Sebastian jumped on the bed, making him bounce as he landed on his bottom. "No wonder my mommy sometimes oversleeps. This bed is as soft as the clouds."
His smile stretched even more, about to lie down to have a feel for his new bed. He knew his father would drag his mother to the master's bedroom in no time. Therefore, he wanted to be here first so Dominic wouldn't be able to lock his mother from him.
"Hmm?" Sebastian raised his brows as he caught something from the corner of his eyes. Turning his head, his gaze landed on the computer set in the corner of the bedroom. "Isn't that...?"
Sebastian rubbed his chin as he wondered where he had seen it. The computer set was easy to spot, as it didn't match the bedroom's interior.
"Right…" he mumbled, remembering that one time his mother spend hours and hours in front of that computer. "That's her computer."
For some reason, Sebastian was curious. His mother could easily buy a new set instead of bringing this garbage. If the files were what she wanted, with the current technology, she could transfer them to a better computer set.
Why did she have to bring this one into their temporary home?
Sebastian jumped from the bed and marched toward the computer. He used a cushion to sit on the chair, only to realize he was a bit short to use the computer properly. Thus, he stood from the chair and reached for the PC, turning it on.
"Was she playing here?" he wondered, remembering that one time Heaven had spent hours in her room.
Sebastian was concerned about his mother. Therefore, he checked her in her room, only to see Heaven working on the computer solemnly. Since she looked serious at that time, Sebastian didn't bother. But now he was curious.
"Just what sort of game could keep her occupied?" he wondered, assuming that if he knew what Heaven was playing, it could bring them closer together. "This computer is really old. Is it older than me?"
Sebastian extended his patience as the computer started up, almost making him yawn. After minutes of waiting, he gazed at the monitor screen with a strange look. He placed his hand on the mouse, looking for any games available, but to no avail.
"What is she doing here if not for games?" he muttered, going through the browsers, but nothing. There were a few websites and social media, but it didn't seem his mother cared about the flooding of her social media.
As Sebastian's curiosity grew deeper and deeper, he went through the computer and found this hidden file. He cocked his head to the side, clicking it to see if this was the game his mother was playing. Much to his surprise, even though the Reaper logo looked a bit strange, what it showed was something he didn't expect.
"Who… is this?" Sebastian stared at the person's profile with the name Primo. He blinked and blinked. "If I am not mistaken, this is a person's profile."
Curious, Sebastian went through the details of the profile. His curiosity wasn't quenched, seeing more details and programs. He clicked the mouse unintentionally, his brows creasing as the government website was displayed.
Just like the profile he saw earlier, it seemed his mother was searching for the same person. Sebastian cocked his head to the side, puzzled.
"Who is he?" he wondered, glancing at the person's profile once again. "There wasn't any relevant information…"
Sebastian suddenly trailed off as he retrieved his hand from the mouth. There was a tinge of surprise swirling in his eyes as a conclusion crossed his mind.
"Was Mommy…" his eyes slowly dilated as he covered his lips in surprise. "... a spy?"
The thought that his mother could be a spy made his eyes sparkle in awe, removing his hands from his curling lips.
"That's so… cool." His eyes lit up, staring at the monitor screen. "Is she on a mission? Should I help her?"
Mischief dominated his face as he applied his knowledge from the countless books he read about advanced technology. He might've failed to find the method to clone his mother, but he might help in this one.
