Sorry
"Little ancestor, aren't you worried?"2
"No."
Axel frowned, staring at Sebastian across the dining table. It had been hours since Heaven and Dominic stopped talking to each other, but the two stayed in the living area. They didn't move an inch from their seats even when Axel gave up, joining Sebastian wherever his nephew go.
"Little ancestor, what are you playing?" asked Axel, getting curious about what was keeping his nephew busy. "Didn't you have your own tablet? Why are you using your mother's phone?"
"Because phones are smaller and easy to navigate with my little hands." Sebastian glanced at his uncle over the phone, maintaining a poker face. "Uncle, don't worry about my mother and father. My phone's battery is low, so I'll be charging it in the master bedroom. Tell my parents I'll be there."
Sebastian didn't wait for his uncle, jumping from the stool while hugging the phone.
"Little ancestor, don't just plug things in! That's dangerous," reminded Axel to his nephew, watching the little guy walk away.
"Miriam will stay with me."
"He's only cute because of his size, but it's like a part of my brother's soul is inside that body," he mumbled.
Axel shivered at the thought of how mature this four-year-old kid was. It was almost unbelievable! If not for the fact Axel was there since Sebastian was born, he would think his nephew was actually an old man in a child's body.
"But then again, having parents like my brother and sister-in-law, I shouldn't be surprised why Basti is like that." Axel cupped his cheek, sighing. "Goodness. Why did they end up arguing? Today's plan is to have a slumber party, not a silent marathon."
A deep exhale slipped past Axel's, turning his head in the living area's direction. "I hope they make up already, or else those two might stay in the living room all night. Basti should do something about it, but I guess this works in his favor."
The thought made Axel shake his head. His brother's family was truly a strange one. How could Dominic's child prefer his parents not to talk just because Sebastian wanted to monopolize his mother? Of all things, Sebastian had to inherit his father's ugly trait, and that was being too territorial.
Little did Axel know, Sebastian simply did not do anything because the little master found something interesting in his mother's phone. Therefore, Sebastian chose the adults to deal with their problems.
"I should ask Bear to have a drink with me." Axel lazily pushed himself away from the chair. "I heard there was a new set of bodyguards, and they were the old man's friends. I wonder if they're good people?"

Meanwhile…
'Damn it, Hera!'Heaven pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling her bottom numb. She had been sitting in the same spot for hours, face turned away from Dominic.
Both of them didn't know the reason they hadn't moved from their spot, but deep in their hearts, they thought leaving wouldn't fix their differences. Thus, Dominic and Heaven stayed in their position without giving signs of leaving.
'I think the stress about that Primo guy is getting into me,' Heaven had been mentally scolding herself, telling herself she shouldn't have argued with Dominic.
Her husband had a point, after all. And considering his nature, Heaven shouldn't have expected him to change just because she said so. Although she also believed she had a good argument, not talking to him for hours was not worth it.
'That's right.' A deep exhale slipped escaped Heaven's parted lips, snapping her eyes open. 'It's not worth it. At least, they already caught the person sending death threats, and that woman and child were safe. Considering Primo is someone that makes all the alarm bells in my head tingle, I'm glad he hadn't done anything yet.'
'All that matters is we are also safe, okay, and at peace.' Heaven mentally nodded. 'There's no need to be so hard on him. I am now Heaven and not Hera. There's no need to stress over such menial things.'
Heaven peeked at Dominic, sighing once again. She might have been upset earlier, but that unpleasant taste in her mouth didn't last long than she expected. At the end of the day, she didn't want to continue this argument with him. Therefore, Heaven took a deep breath and when she breathed out, words of apology came along with it.
"Fine. I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry."
Both Heaven and Dominic raised their brows as they spoke at the same time. They blinked, looking at each other with slight surprise.
"Oh…" Heaven cleared her throat while Dominic also drew his lips into a thin line. She massaged her nape for a second, motioning her hand to him as she said, "You go first."
Dominic took a deep breath, but just as his lips parted, she spoke once again.
"Forgiven." Dominic nearly bit his tongue at her answer. "I mean, I was harsh and being too inconsiderate. So…"
Heaven smacked her lips and took another deep breath, raising her brows at him. "I'm sorry."
"..."
Both of them stared at each other, feeling a bit awkward at how they chose to make up. This was the first time they argued in months. Everything was great before this day. Therefore, they felt a little awkward.
Were they supposed to make up like this?
So easily?
Not that both of them wanted to prolong the silent treatment. More like they weren't just used to it and didn't know if this was truly fixing the problem, or they were simply putting a blanket over the fire while hoping it wouldn't get burned down immediately.
"Wha — what?" Heaven pouted minutes after receiving no response from him. He was just staring at her, making her feel a little awkward. "Am I forgiven or not? You should tell me because I can't read people's minds."
"I wasn't… mad. Just a little upset," Dominic explained, sighing. He leaned forward, planting his hands on his legs to push himself up. He slowly made his way to the couch, sitting beside her. "I was also harsh, so I'm sorry."
"No, you were not." Heaven pressed her lips, looking into his dark hazel eyes. "I know you hadn't forgotten what they did, but I shouldn't have attacked you like that since you will feel responsible for them, whether you like it or not. I should've extended my understanding." — and not selfishly think from her own point of view.
"No, actually you were right." This time, Dominic argued gently. "I am underestimating my position and maybe growing complacent and content. Although what happened is something I didn't wish for, it was a part of their choice which I have no control over. I learned a valuable lesson today, and what you said earlier was a great reminder."
