[Bonus chapter]You really aged like a don, Bear.

"Perfect! Fantastic! Great!"0

Director Guan said all the praises he knew as he approached Bear, clapping enthusiastically. It wasn't rare to see the director to be in a good mood, but it was rare for him to be this pleased.

"Amazing! Amazing! You only did it in two takes! Great!" the director continued, but Bear was akin to a wall that had no reaction.

Bear just stared at the director standing right beside Heaven, hoping the director would stop with his nonsense. All Bear wanted was for Heaven to finish her scene so she could go home to her safe haven. Having to listen to the director's praises was just delaying things.

"If only I know Heaven is bringing along such a talented person, I would've asked you to do some stunts for me!" humored Director Guan. "You only took two takes and the first one is not even your fault! We have to step up our game to catch up to you and get all the great shots. Say, how about entering the entertainment industry? I'm sure you'll do great in action movies! Maybe martial arts?"

"No, I'm okay. I only agreed this time, since Miss Liu values this project very much."

"Aww." Director Guan frowned and looked at Heaven. "Heaven."

"I'm sorry, Director Guan, but I can't force him into something he didn't want to." Heaven chuckled, thinking there was no way Bear would agree.

She wouldn't even agree even if Bear wanted to, knowing putting his face out there would be a problem in the future. The only reason she suggested this idea was because they would have to cut Bear's face and replace it with another actor's face. Moreover, she bet Bear's paycheck was higher than what Director Guan would give him.

"Well, that's a shame." Director Guan sighed. "But well, if you changed your mind, Heaven got my phone number."

"Thank you for the offer." Bear lowered his head, wearing his inner dress shirt since he was still in a tank top.

"Anyway, Heaven, prepare for your last scene. You got half an hour to prepare, okay?" Director Guan flashed Heaven the brightest smile while tapping her shoulder as if he was looking at his savior. "I'll call you once everything is ready."

"Okay." Heaven kept a smile, watching the director walk away to prepare for the next scene.

"He looks so happy," Bear pointed out, eyes on Director Guan's back.

"Well." Heaven shrugged, casting Bear a look. "Do you know that Director Guan was the person who showed Heaven some kindness and understanding when she was starting?"

"This is the first time I'm hearing about it."

"That is why I wanted to do this movie as well before I retire." Heaven slowly set her attention on Director Guan's back, smacking her lips. "At least for the last time, she could work with people she cherished. One last time."

Bear slid his eyes to the corner, smiling subtly. He didn't say anything, putting back his suit in the same spot.

"That guy is still here," he said after buttoning up his suit.

"That guy?" Heaven arched a brow, only to notice Leo from the corner of her eyes. "Ah. He still has a scene later. I mean we."

Her lips curved down the moment she realized the last scene she got today was with Leo. "God... how did I forget?"

"Will you be alright?"

"Well, what else can he do?" she rolled her eyes. "I'm annoyed at him, but I guess he got his senses together. Hopefully. Or else he'll be in an accident."

Bear studied her nonchalant countenance, knowing the meaning behind her last remarks. "I hope he wouldn't pull anything silly anymore. Even if he did, I will pull him out of your sight."

"Hehe. Don't make it sound so scary, Bear," she humored, throwing any thoughts about Leo at the back of her head.

At this point, Heaven was fine with whether or not she would retain her friendship with Leo Wu. Even though she planned to retire, she still wanted to maintain her connections. Leo Wu was well-connected, after all. However, if he kept being foolish, then she would rather be alone.

"Let's go, Bear." The smile on her face returned. "We got an hour to look around and idle. How about a walk in the garden?"

"Fine with me." Bear nodded, keeping a step behind her as he followed her track.

"Anyway, good work." Heaven looked back at him, treading away carefully. "I see you were more nimble now than five years ago."

"Maybe because I lost quite some weight."

A laugh escaped her mouth, recalling the faces of everyone when he took off his suit. She wondered what their reaction would be once they figured out how strong his grip was. Bear could even break a thick concrete with his bare hands.

"You really aged like a don, Bear," she remarked, hands on her back, almost skipping her steps toward the garden. "I can imagine my dad seething with jealousy. After all, he used to envy your body he nearly overdosed with steroids."

"That's the dumbest thing your father did."

Heaven laughed, recalling those good old days when her parents were still both alive.

Oh, how time flies and how life takes strange turns.

Now, in this body, she got no relationship with the people she called parents. But at least Bear remained by her side. They accidentally became connected again and until now, she found it amusing.

Meanwhile, Leo let out another exhale as he watched Heaven and Bear leave the area.

'He's amazing,' he thought, remembering Bear's stunt cut. 'And it seemed they got a great relationship too. I don't think this relationship would be built if she was under threat.'

He pressed his lips into a thin line, lowering his head to hide the sadness in his eyes.

'How stupid, Leo,' he told himself, clenching his teeth. 'It's been five years and things change. She's right. If only I let her go, things would've been better between us.'

Leo slowly glanced up once again, watching Heaven skip her steps away before Bear walked behind her, covering her with his humongous physique.

'She didn't even look back.'Another sigh escaped his nostrils. 'She's really angry this time, and it's all my fault.'
