Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead

"Sir?" Dane approached Dominic, who was now idling in the condominium's lobby. "Are we really supposed to wait here for the madam?"
No.
Dominic sat leisurely on the one-seater couch, tapping his fingers against the armrest, eyes on the nearby elevator. After dropping off his wife, Dominic was supposed to go home. However, in the middle of their journey, he suddenly asked his driver to turn back. Even though Dane was confused, the driver obeyed their boss's instructions.
Even so, the question lingered in Dane Zhang's mind.
Why did Dominic ask them to return to where they dropped off the young madam?
Did Heaven call for Dominic? If so, Dominic would've told Dane. But Dominic was just quiet, sitting in the lobby without showing any sign of leaving.
Little did Dane know Dominic was just as befuddled as him.
'I don't like this feeling,' thought Dominic to himself, keeping his gaze on the elevator that was within his line of sight.
Dominic was barely holding back from getting up in his seat to go to Paula Shen's unit. He didn't want to appear like a paranoid husband or surprise Heaven once he knock on Paula's doorstep. After all, Heaven knew he already left. However, he couldn't get rid of this growing uneasiness in his heart.
It was as though his heart was telling him something bad was happening to his wife. And this feeling continuously and consistently grew.
"Sir?" Dane's voice echoed in Dominic's ear once again. "Should I contact the young madam for you?"
"No." Dominic's voice was stern, snapping his eyes at his assistant that was just standing a few steps from his spot. "There's no need to bother..."
Dominic trailed off when he caught a familiar face from the corner of his eyes. He turned his head to the entrance, narrowing his eyes.
"She looks familiar," he muttered, making Dane follow his boss's gaze.
Deep lines appeared between Dane's brows, following the woman's figure, who was rushing to the elevator.
"Where did I see her?" asked Dominic, having a hard time recalling where he had seen that woman.
"That's Marisol Chu, Paula Shen's manager." Dane blinked, watching Manager Chu hurriedly get in the lift as if there was an emergency. "She looks in a hurry. Did something happen?"
Dominic rose to his feet, distracting Dane as the latter set his eyes back on his boss.
"Sir?" Dane tilted his head to the side slightly. "What are you —"
"I'm going to her," Dominic said as he took a step toward the lift. "Contact Bear Cruel and ask him if he was with her."
"Oh." Dane blinked, a bit confounded, watching his boss walk away from the lobby. "I wonder why he seems so worried. It's not like the young madam will be in danger."
For Dane, Dominic was simply being petty because his boss wanted to monopolize the young madam's time. Knowing Dominic, he probably didn't appreciate that Heaven had to go to Paula when she should be with Dominic. But then again, Dane had a glimpse of Paula's message. Thus, a part of Dane's heart understood his boss's other concern.
"Tsk." Dane clicked his tongue in irritation as he fished his phone from his inner suit pocket. "I don't think she's the type to take her own life. With how cunning she was, now I'm worried about the young madam."
Just as Dane took his phone out to contact Bear Cruel to confirm if he was with Heaven or was told to wait somewhere, Dane caught a person from the corner of his eyes. Raising his head, deep lines resurfaced on Dane's forehead as soon as he recognized the person.
Bear Cruel.
"Bear —" Dane bit his tongue as he stopped, assessing the old man's side profile. He narrowed his eyes as if that would make him see clearer, gazing at Bear's humongous figure that was walking across the lobby. "Huh?"
Right now, Bear looked worried and ferocious. His eyes were burning that almost made them appear red, his jaw was tight and his large hands were held into tight fists. Although it was hard to identify if he was angry or simply worried.
"Something happened... isn't it?" Dane whispered, watching Bear head somewhere else instead of taking the elevator. "What... what's going on in Paula's unit?"
First, Dominic suddenly asked to turn around and return to where he dropped off his wife. Second, Bear seemed he had a lot on his mind that made him equally terrified and furious.
"Uh." Dane blinked, gazing down at his phone. He didn't move from his spot nor did he say anything, weighing his options and proper action even without Dominic giving him orders.

"Paula, it seemed I forgot my phone. Can you let me borrow your…"
THUD!
Paula's chest moved in and out heavily, clasping the trophy while keeping her eyes on the unconscious Manager Chu. Unlike the immediate fear and panic she felt after striking Heaven, Paula felt a lot calmer now.
"You are so dumb, Manager Chu." Paula scowled, her eyes fixed on the unconscious Manager Chu. "I didn't call you here to call an ambulance to save her. Did you think she'll let me off when she regains her consciousness?"
A ridiculing laugh escaped Paula's smirking lips before her eyes veered toward Heaven's body.
"You're still alive, huh?" Paula calmly wiped the trophy with her shirt, hoping that would wipe off his fingerprints. Once she was satisfied, she held the trophy with the fabric of her clothes as her glove. She strutted towards Heaven's side, putting down the trophy to check her pulse.
Her face instantly turned dark upon sensing Heaven's pulse. It was faint, but it meant Heaven was still fighting for her life.
"You can't." Paula shook her head, gazing down at Heaven. "You can't live, Heaven."
For some reason, Paula touched Heaven's cheek with soft eyes. "I'm sorry, but you can't live." Tears immediately coated her eyes, bending down to plant a kiss on Heaven's cheek.
"I'm really sorry to you and Dad," she whispered. "Dad is probably sad, so he'll be happy if you join him."
After planting a soft and long peck on Heaven, Paula straightened her back. This time, her face showed nothing but unwavering resolution. She turned her head to Manager Chu, taking advantage of the adrenaline rushing through her veins as she dragged Manager Chu's body near Heaven.
Since Manager Chu collapsed just right beside Heaven, Paula only needed to move her a little. She then lifted Manager Chu's arm, guiding the latter to hold the trophy, and then raising it over Heaven's head.
"I'm sorry," Paula whispered once more before she moved Manager Chu's hand down, straight to Heaven's head.
