"What I'm saying is I am bad, Heaven Liu. I'm not like you, and I will never be like you. I don't care if I hurt others for my gain and selfish reason. And I always grab the opportunities that arise. This is an opportunity. So? What do you think?"1

"No."

"But why? Since you want to die so bad, why not let me in that body so I can continue with my sinful life, eh?"

"Because… I can't let someone like you around my son."

"Oh, come on." Hera clicked her tongue. "Just take me out of your body if I will hurt your son!"

"I can do that?"

"Uhh…" Hera pondered, making Heaven frown. 

"You don't know, huh?"

"Yep. I've just seen some ghosts possess other people, so I'm not even sure if I can possess yours." Hera shrugged, telling Heaven the truth since she had no reason to lie. "So, there's no certainty if my plan is going to work or not."

Heaven thought about it for a moment. "But why do you want to live?"

"Because why not? I should ask the same question; why do you want to die so bad when you can rectify everything if you changed the way you view things?"

"I can't rectify my past mistakes, alright?"

"Oh? You want to make a bet?" Hera arched a brow, tilting her head to the side. "I'll show you how different your life can be."

There was a moment of silence between them as Heaven felt a little swayed by Hera's offer. She wouldn't get much from it, but she wanted to prove Hera that Hera was wrong.

"I'm telling you, Heaven Liu. Once I'm in this body, I'll make your husband fall in love with me and your son, too. Let's include that annoying brother-in-law on the list and the entire Zhu family." Hera spoke after a moment, smirking with confidence. "They'll be so in love with me they can kill for me. Want to make a bet?"

"I don't want them to kill for me and turn them into murderers." Heaven let out a deep exhale. "However, I want to see if they will ever grieve for me if I die."

"Oh? That easy? Then, deal." Hera nodded. "I'll make them grieve for you. So? Will you give up your body to me?"

Heaven gazed at the cunning look plastered on Hera's face. Looking at the latter, she couldn't help but think she was currently trading with the devil himself. 

"I'm telling you." Heaven huffed. "You'll fail. They hate me."

Hera's smirk stretched. "Are you going to bet your life on that?"

There was a moment of hesitation that tickled Heaven's heart at that last question. However, she lived in her body for the past five years and thus, her confidence that Hera was wrong grew stronger.

"Yes," Heaven breathed out with a tinge of determination. "I'm betting my life that you can't make them unhate me. Especially Dominic Zhu."

"Why? I think your husband is very nice."

"He is…" Heaven slid her eyes to the corner, unwilling to give the reason she said such things. "But that's not important. Dominic married me because he feels responsible. Everything he had done was because he thinks all of that is his duty for the mother of his child, but he and I will never have such a relationship."

"Hah." Hera scoffed, trying her hardest not to judge Heaven, but every insult she held back already showed on her face. 

"Anyway, we're not even sure if you can possess my body."

"That right." Hera sighed, turning her attention to Heaven's body. "How did those ghosts do it again?"

Hera descended, but before her foot touched Heaven's body, the former spoke. 

"Wait." Hera stopped, turning to Heaven. "Before you possess my body, can you do me a favor?"

"Huh?" Hera arched a brow.

"Can you… be nice to Basti even if hates you and ignores you?"

Hera smirked once again. "No, he won't."

[PRESENT TIME]

"Ah, goodness." Hera patted her chest in relief before picking herself up, rushing to the doorbell monitor. "Darling, please break down this door! I'm here!"

Heaven pressed her lips into a thin line as she watched Hera call for Dominic's help. When she moved her gaze to Paula, the latter was once again pacing in panic. The situation was just too… chaotic. One standing outside the door, two unconscious bodies on the floor, and then the culprit thinking of ways to get out of this sticky situation. 

"Oh, lord." Paula walked back to the monitor to see what Dominic was doing. 

Dominic was still standing outside the door, pressing the doorbell once more. His frown deepened as silence was the only answer he got. There were people inside this unit and he knew that for a fact. 

Dominic tried calling Heaven once again, but this time, he couldn't reach her. His eyes blazed as his expression darken, having all these ridiculous thoughts filling his mind. 

'Paula Shen.'He breathed out through his parted lips, glaring at the shut door that was separating him and his wife. 'If you did something to her, I will kill you.'

Dominic gazed down at his phone again, speed-dialing his assistant. He didn't want to make it big, but alas, the growing uneasiness in his heart was slowly consuming him. No matter how he tried to rationalize the situation, there was no way his wife would hang up on him and then turn off her phone. 

That was not his wife. 

Something was definitely wrong, and his gut feeling had been screaming at him. He should listen to his instinct. 

As Dominic reached out to Dane Zhang but the latter's phone was busy, he caught a person approaching him from the side. Turning his head, his brows furrowed. 

The woman stopped a step from him, brows raised. "Do you need help?"

"Yes," Dominic canceled the call, knowing Dane was probably talking to someone else. "I need to talk to the people inside this unit."

"This unit?" the woman furrowed her brows as she moved her gaze to where Dominic was pointing his thumb. 

"My wife is inside and I've been ringing the door, but no one is answering."

"That's strange," said the woman. "Miss Shen and Manager Chu should be inside because I need to replace her IV."

When the woman mentioned that, only then did Dominic notice the small medical bag the woman was carrying. 

"An IV?" Dominic furrowed his brows.

"Yes, for Miss Shen." The woman didn't find Dominic suspicious and easily gave out small information. "Please, let me."

Dominic stepped aside while the nurse who was supposed to replace Paula's IV drip rang the doorbell. But just as Dominic said, no one answered.

'This…'When another minute had passed, Dominic's phone vibrated. He simply glanced at it before answering the call, not letting Dane say anything as he ordered, "Get me Paula Shen's unit spare key."

He took a breath, eyes burning as he gazed at the door. "I need it… now."
