[Bonus chapter] BANG!
Since Dominic and Axel went to teach Heaven target shooting, their friends found no reason to idle. They followed to quench their curiosity and witness the private marriage's overall relationship by observing their interaction.0
BANG BANG BANG!
"Wow..." Heaven clapped while Axel turned to her with a wide grin. "Axel, so cool."
"Hehe." Axel couldn't stop but grin smugly, taking out the earphones that muffled the piercing noise. "See, sis? I nearly hit the center!"
As he bragged about his marksmanship, the targets moved forward to show his score. Axel hit all of them. In one of them, there was a hole near the bull's eyes. It was already impressive, considering Axel was terrible even after years of practice.
BANG! BANG!
Axel and Heaven flinched at the second round of noise, turning their heads to the other side where Dominic stood. Axel instantly frowned, watching Dominic stare at his targets.
"Wow... Dominic is so cool." Heaven clapped again, very proud of her husband's marksmanship.
Ignoring Axel, she skipped her steps to her husband's side.
Heaven leaned forward slightly, checking the moving targets that were approaching. "Baby, I didn't know you have great marksmanship!"
"Not great." Dominic faced her with a plain look. "They're not moving unlike Axel's."
"That's right!" Axel nodded in satisfaction. "My brother can't hit anything when his targets are moving."
"Really?" Heaven pouted.
"That's why I should be the one to teach —"
"Darling, can you teach me?"
Axel scrunched his nose up. "Sis, are you listening?" he gasped when Dominic smiled at her.
"Sure."
"Yey~!" Heaven confusedly gazed at the magazines on the surface in front of Dominic.
Dominic stood beside her, carefully taking out the magazine to replace it with a new one. Heaven watched with curious eyes, smiling in satisfaction at Dominic's way of handling guns.
'What a delicate way of handling guns,'she thought, smiling broadly as she faced him when he handed it to her.
"Be careful," he reminded as she took the pistol from his hand.
"Yes~" Heaven held the gun, gazing at it and having this strange feeling swelling in her heart.
The last time she held a gun was that night of the drag race. Back then, she didn't have the time to enjoy the feeling of holding such toys. However, now, she couldn't help but admire it. Although it wasn't something that would make it to her collection of guns, it had been a while since she held one.
"It's a lot heavier than I thought," she muttered as if it was her first time.
Once she faced Dominic, the latter reached for the headphone and placed it over her head. Her brows rose at his action, watching him pick up the transparent glasses, which he placed on her delicately.
"I'm not good at this, but it's thrilling to think we're going to learn together," he said, making her heart warm at the thought. "I only know the basics, so bear with me."
"It's okay." Her lips stretched excitedly. "It's not like I need to be a pro at this."
Dominic maintained a gentle smile, standing behind her.
"Raise your hand like this," he instructed, guiding her arms to a proper shooting stance. At the same time, the targets were already replaced and were slowly going to their spots. "Aim..."
Heaven glanced at the gentle pair of hands holding her arms in place, biting her lips subtly. She listened to his deep baritone, his breath caressing the shell of her ear.
'I didn't want to take this sensually,' she thought, gulping, refocusing her eyes on the targets a few meters away. 'But somehow, it feels sexy being taught how to shoot.'
A satisfied look turned up on her face, having this slight idea in her mind.
BANG!
Her body recoiled at the force of the pull of the trigger. Her back bumped against his sturdy chest, casting Dominic a look. The latter still had his eyes on the next target, slowly holding the back of her hand to lessen the impact.
BANG!
Heaven still had half of her focus on the handsome specimen around her, but through her peripheral, she could see the next target. As soon as Dominic moved her hand, pointing it at the next target, she pulled the trigger. This time, she hit a bullseye.
BANG!
The third one was a missed one, making Dominic look at her with curiosity. As soon as the two held each other's eyes, a smile dominated her face.
"Are you seducing me?" she asked as she had pulled the trigger much earlier, purposely missing the third target to get his attention. "Darling, you said I should be careful, but you're distracting me."
Dominic blinked innocently. "Should I step away?"
"That's not what I mean. What I'm saying is, how can my husband be so handsome?" she pouted coquettishly. "Not only he is handsome, but precise too. I think I'm falling even more in love with you."
A chuckle slipped past his lips, releasing her hand as he stepped aside. He opened his palm and Heaven diligently placed the pistol in his hand.
"I'm not seducing you, but I thought you should learn how to use a gun. Come." Dominic took a step closer, telling her how to replace the magazine and the basics of how to get around the pistol.
"Ohh…" Heaven's lips formed an o-shape, snapping her eyes at her husband. Her smile stretched even more, pleased at being treated like a princess.
If Dominic was a different person, she would've given the scare of his life. However, she didn't mind being treated as if she was a fragile good who needed meticulous one-on-one lessons in handling guns.
"Did you get it?" he asked, looking up at her once again while holding the muzzle to her.
"Uh, yes."
"Can you do it on your own?"
"Well…" Heaven bit her lips with slight hesitation. "I can try?"
Dominic smiled in satisfaction, thinking she was listening to him previously. After all, he wanted his wife to learn how to defend herself in case she had to hold a gun.
"Alright…" he trailed off as three consecutive gun noise was fired.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"Woah…" Dominic's friends clapped as they stood near Ivy, who had fired three shots at the moving targets. All bull's eyes.
"She's good," muttered Heaven, watching Ivy nonchalantly fix the gun while the paper targets moved closer.
"You'll do better soon." She moved her eyes to Dominic as he remarked, smiling in satisfaction at the trust swirling in his eyes. "She's been doing it for years, so she's already good. It's not a contest."
"Hehe. Goodness." Heaven chuckled, taking a proper stance. 'I can't get angry if all he made me feel is that I am the only person in his eyes.'
BANG! BANG! BANG!
