Jeremy Li smirked smugly, casting the Zhu brothers a knowing look. "I hope you two are okay."

"Hmph! Stop acting like you already won!" Axel harrumphed, looking away from the smug Jeremy Li to the shooting range.

Heaven clapped as she approached Ivy, while the latter smiled at her.

"I thought you were joking when you said you will not take me lightly," Heaven humored as she took the stand where Ivy stood previously. The latter walked to the side, chuckling.

"I'm afraid you will get angry if I give you the slightest mercy."

"Did you miss the third one on purpose?"

"No." Ivy maintained a subtle smile. "I lost my grip."

"Ohh…" Heaven rocked her head as her lips formed an o-shape. "Maybe because you shot three consecutive times in a hurry!"

Ivy shrugged. "Maybe? Showing off is never a good thing."

"How can that be? You have the talent, but you have to be careful." A kind smile reigned over Heaven's countenance, leaving Ivy a hint of why she lost her grip on the third shot.

"When I fired earlier, the recoil is quite too much. If not for Dom holding my hand, I don't think I will be able to fire another one," she added with a giggle, gazing down at the set of parts on the surface. "Let's see… how do I do this again?"

"Heaven, hadn't I told you beforehand? You did that over five times."

Heaven cocked her head back, offering Ivy a playful grin. "I know. I'm just messing with you. So, we're using the same paper targets, huh?"

"Yes, just as you requested." Ivy nodded, taking a few several steps back to give her some space. "They're about to finish the scoring but take your time. Do it once you're ready."

'How considerate.'Heaven kept her focus on Ivy for a moment before she proceeded to assemble the pistol. She did it slowly, taking her precious time as she pondered.

'Ivy isn't as bad as I thought she would be,'she thought, mentally nodding as she might gain her first female friend if ever Ivy was being real.

So far, Heaven believed Ivy's claim. It looked legit.

'If anything, I feel sorry for her that Heaven thought she was another love rival. Well, Heaven was pretty insecure about many things.' Heaven raised her hand and stood in a stance, tilting her head as she narrowed an eye. 'As long as I don't have to deal with another female who lacked some self-love, I'm fine with everything.'

'Though I won't blame them for wanting a married man. Even I would want him regardless if he was married if I think I deserve more.'

Heaven drew a deep breath after the third shot, smiling and stopping talking in her head. She focused on taking out the barrel, reminding herself to slow down before facing Ivy.

"Heh." Heaven smiled until her eyes curved into mere slits. "I did my best."

Ivy blinked a couple of times before she let out a helpless chuckle. Turning head to the paper targets that were now moving closer to their vantage point, another sigh slipped past her lips.

"Now I'm starting to feel bad," she said, only seeing one hole in each paper target. Meaning, Heaven missed all three.

"Why would you?" Heaven pouted playfully. "Axel should feel bad about pushing me into this mess and dragging his brother and sister-in-law with this. Also…"

Heaven took a step and bent over slightly, whispering, "Even if I lose here, my husband will coax me all night so I won't feel bad. That's a win for me."

"Haha!" Ivy chuckled at the mischievous plan in Heaven's mind. "Alright. If you say so, still, I think this is unfair."

"It's okay, dear. No worries."

Heaven winked at Ivy while the staff calculated Heaven's score. There wasn't anything to calculate, though. Heaven missed all three shots.

Meanwhile, as the women were using this time to build this newly found friendship, the guys in the lounge seats shared different moods. Axel's face was grim, pissed at Jeremy and William's teasing.

"For a moment, I thought she will hit the bullseye!" said Jeremy with a sigh. "I guess even if she has a good stance, she still needs to practice honing her marksmanship."

"Hehe. At this point, I now feel bad for Heaven." William grinned, obviously proud of Ivy. "But you know, Axel, you should feel bad for her for dragging her in this bet."

"You guys… this betting is ridiculous. These types always end terribly." Kaiden let out a helpless chuckle, darting his eyes between the triumphant William and Jeremy and the gloomy Axel. When Kaiden's eyes moved to Dominic, his brows rose.

Dominic didn't seem as pissed as his brother. If anything, he seemed he didn't care about them at all. Dominic just kept his eyes on the shooting range, smiling subtly for a moment.

Curious, Kaiden Wang followed where Dominic was looking with his gaze. Kaiden rocked his head in understanding as soon as he saw the smile on the women's faces.

"They were enjoying," he remarked with a clap, earning William, Jeremy, and Axel's attention. "While you guys are being so competitive, I think the girls are having fun. And I'm glad this silly betting you guys thought of didn't cause a bad start between them."

William and Jeremy raised their brows as they shifted their attention to Heaven and Ivy. Axel also gazed at his sister-in-law, only to feel utter relief as soon as he caught the grin on Heaven's face.

"Hmph!" Axel smirked smugly, folding his arms under his chest. "You guys… for just a few million, you are being so competitive. As long as my sister is happy, then I won't mind giving up my entire fortune!"

Jeremy and Willing couldn't help but scrunched their nose up, casting a disgusted look at this shameless Axel Zhu. Just now, Axel was being so competitive and upset, unlike his brother. But now, he was saying all this nonsense as if he was a noble brother-in-law.
