New place

Heaven… or rather, Hera would be a goner if she just looked at one angle. Although she was certain and relieved Andrea was working alone, she couldn't shrug off the feeling someone else was involved. It didn't mean directly involved, but someone who had fanned the flames and poured gasoline into the dying flame of vengeance in Andrea's heart.  1

Fortunately, Hera would always be Hera. 

And she was used to creating messes and cleaning them up sparkly clean. 

"Are you okay?" 

Heaven raised her brows as she turned her head, treading carefully to the exit of the facility. "Huh?"

"Are you okay?" Dominic repeated his question, intrigued. "What did you and that person talk about? You've been silent since."

"Well." Heaven forced a smile as she playfully hooked her arm around his. "She apologized, and I forgave her."

Dominic frowned. "That easy?"

"I told you, Dom. I wanted to come here to lift off the burden weighing down my heart." Heaven smacked her lips, aware Dominic was displeased about this. "Forgiveness is hard, especially since the incident just happened pretty recently. But you know, to move forward, we have to forgive ourselves and those who did us dirty."

No way in hell she believed that. 

"I'm not saying she shouldn't pay for her actions, but she's already in prison. By the looks of it, she wasn't also having a good time inside either," she continued innocently. "I'm just glad she is already reflecting on her crimes. I believe in second chances, Dom."

Dominic kept his eyes on her, sighing. "Being too kind is sometimes dangerous."

If Andrea heard Dominic's remarks, she would surely choke on her own breathing. Being too kind?! Who? Heaven? Hah! How clueless.

"Come on, Dom." Heaven giggled. "Let time decide whether or not our decision to forgive is worth it."

Dominic sighed for the second time, shaking his head as he set his eyes ahead. For him, his wife was just being too kind to the person who nearly killed her. However, he wouldn't forgive Andrea. Never in this lifetime. Still, he wanted to take Heaven's feelings into consideration. 

"Come inside." He stepped aside to give way to Heaven while Dane Zhang went on to open the backseat door. 

"Thank you, Gentleman." Heaven winked at him before hitching inside the vehicle. As she did, Dominic placed his hand on top of her head as a protective gesture, before following her inside. 

As the two hitched inside the car, Bear kept his eyes on the car ahead of them. The other two cars were escorting Dominic and Heaven, and Bear was in the vehicle behind Dominic's car. His expression was stoic, deep in thought.

Dominic temporarily moved his family to the penthouse in one of the most expensive high-rise apartments in the heart of the city. Compared to the Zhu Mansion, the penthouse was quite smaller. However, location-wise, it was near everything. It was only a five-minute drive from the Lyon Group headquarters, which was a good advantage if something happened. 

Heaven also chose this place, as he decided after showing her their options. She said she liked the location and thought he could drop by for lunch if he had free time. Her way of choosing their temporary home was quite different from his, but they still agreed. 

"Mommy!" 

The moment Heaven and Dominic entered the building's lobby, Heaven heard a familiar voice. When she turned her head, her face brightened up at the adorable Sebastian running in her direction.

"Basti~ my baby~!" Heaven spread her arms open as she met Sebastian halfway. She squatted down, welcoming the excited boy in her arms. "Oh, god… my baby, I missed you so, so much!"

Heaven squeezed Sebastian, feeling the ice surrounding her heart melt in an instant. She patted his little back, smiling from ear to ear. 

'Gosh… I didn't even realize how much I missed him until now.' Heaven closed her eyes as she relaxed her body, feeling the warmth of her son in the safety of her embrace. 'I feel like tearing up. How did I even survive a week without seeing him?'

Heaven smiled warmly as she released Sebastian, looking at his adorable face. She cupped his plumped cheek, brushing it with her thumb. 

"How have you been?" she blurted out, not knowing what to tell her son who was left in his uncle's care after the incident. 

"I'm okay, although I missed you." Sebastian smiled from ear to ear. "Are you okay now? Or are you still hurt?"

"I'm okay now. Mommy ate a lot of nutritious food Nana sent me!" Heaven was a bit surprised that Sebastian was quite lively than she expected. She expected he would be gloomy and anxious. "Have you been waiting for me?"

"Mhm." Sebastian nodded. "I wanted to see you immediately, so Uncle took me out of here."

'Uncle?' Heaven snapped her eyes up, only to see Axel standing several steps from them. Axel had this bored look on his face, not even reacting when his eyes met Heaven's.

'Right.' Heaven smiled, setting her eyes back on Sebastian. "Did we make you wait for too long?"

"Not really." Sebastian shook his head, but Axel's scoff told them otherwise. 

"Let's go back to our place first." Dominic intervened with his son and wife's reunion monotonously. "Basti, your mom might look okay, but she still needs to rest."

Sebastian frowned and looked at Heaven. "Mommy…"

"Hehe. Dom, don't say it like that or Basti will be worried." Heaven clicked her tongue. "I'm okay now, but I still need to refrain from intense activity. My wounds are still healing, after all."

"Oh…" Sebastian rocked his head.

"Anyway, let's go?" Heaven smiled from ear to ear, holding Sebastian's hand.

"Mhm!"

"Did you like our new place, Basti?" she inquired as the family of three marched toward the elevator, heading to their temporary home for the next couple of months. 

As the three walked away with Heaven and Sebastian chatting happily, Axel stayed in his spot. 

"Ugh… just look at him. After dragging me here early in the morning, he'll just heartlessly leave me. He didn't even look back." Axel clicked his tongue before his eyes veered in Heaven's direction. "Also, who the hell is that woman? Since when did that wicked sister-in-law act as a proper human being?"
