[Bonus chapter] I know what to do

"Is there someone who had a grudge against you? Any idea of who could be those people watching you last night?"1

Silas carried a grim face as he recalled Dominic's line of question. He was reclining against the hospital bed, staring at the tablet Dominic left for him to review the footage. Dominic said in case reviewing it would refresh his memory, as they couldn't just rule out any possibilities.

"I'm sure," he whispered as he sneered. "That damn Primo is the one who sent those guys. I thought he was already dead, but it seemed he finally came around."

Just a year ago, Primo and Silas were in a partnership. Primo manufactured a new drug and Silas distributed them, taking over the black market with this new drug. If it was anybody else, Silas wouldn't even bat Primo an eye when the man offered him to distribute his goods. After all, Silas just couldn't cut off his contact so easily, knowing they got him by the neck.

Thanks to Primo, though, Silas didn't have a problem switching sides. Primo massacred most of Silas's contacts for the reason he didn't want competition, and that Silas could work properly with his network without another party ruining their business. It was a win-win situation; it was something Silas wouldn't thank Primo for.

But now, after Primo's failed attempt to end Dominic and end up handicapped, Silas ended his alliance with the aforementioned man.

"I thought he was already dead," Silas hissed, closing his eyes as he pondered about it. "He should've just died."

His head throbbed at the thought Primo was alive and kicking. After all, Primo was his benefactor. He was the one who protected Silas from the big cartels Silas betrayed. But now that their alliance was over, no one was going to protect him.

"I shouldn't have said all those things," he cursed through his gritted teeth, reopening his eyes and glaring at the tablet on his lap. "Damn! One thing after another!"

Silas cocked his throbbing head back as he pondered on how he could appease that crazy man. If he couldn't think of a way, he was certain his days were numbered.

"No, no. He won't kill me just yet." He shook his head, reminding himself of how he knew Primo. He huffed once again, glancing at his cast hands. "He will still need me since I'm his biggest distributor. Even if he gets my contacts, he won't be able to make them sell the goods without me."

People in the underground might be full of nasty and wicked people. However, they were surprisingly cautious. Trades like their business needed a middleman, a person like Silas because they just couldn't trust each other.

"I know what to do," he sighed, nodding at himself. "Everything will be fine. So long as I get him Dominic's head…"

Silas trailed off as he arched a brow. The corner of his mouth curled up, recalling Primo's new interest during their last conversation.

"No," he whispered, smirking, eyes glinting diabolically. "So long as I give him Heaven, then everything will be fine."

[LYON Group: Art Department]

"Hmm…" Heaven tapped her index on top of the photocopier, humming a long tune, deep in thought. "Should I take a quick break?"

She snapped her eyes, replacing the paper she was copying with another one. "Maybe I shouldn't?" She sighed as she felt her head throb, thinking about whether she should visit Tiger in the disciplinary facility or finish all her errands first.

"Why did he suddenly beat up Silas?" she asked herself, putting herself in Tiger's shoes. She frowned at the idea.

If she was Tiger, she would beat up Silas just for the heck of it. She didn't need any reason. Silas was annoying, after all. Should she need more reasons other than that?

'But Tiger isn't like that,' she told herself while doing her errand by making tons of copies of each page. 'Even if Silas is annoying, he wouldn't beat him up. If this was before, he might do that. But I have to admit Tiger might've changed drastically, but he's never been like that.'

In the past, Tiger was probably the most problematic of all. He was arrogant with a very short temper. He often ran his mouth without a care of who would get hurt in the process. However, despite all of that, Tiger doesn't just throw his fist for no reason. Take it as his lack of interest in small staff. After all, fighting Tiger in a brawl was a difficult feat to emerge as a victor.

It was still surprising Silas only got broken hands when he could've lost his life. It only showed that Tiger held back; that he didn't just go crazy. But rather, he used his fist, knowing full well what he was doing.

'Just what did Silas do to him?' she wondered, puckering her lips as she pondered about it. 'Ugh. This is annoying! I want answers! That damn Tiger always gives me question marks!'

"Hey, errand girl!"

Heaven flinched when Mr. Yang's voice reached her ears. Looking back, she sported an awkward smile as she caught the head of the art department by the entrance of the department.

"Something is ringing in your desk! How many times do I have to tell you to put your phone in silent during office hours?!" Mr. Yang had this ugly frown as if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed. "Get it! It's disrupting everyone!"

"Yes, boss!" Heaven looked away and huffed, arranging the papers she was making copies of. Good thing she was already at the last page, and thus, she carried those piles to the office. She first delivered it to her workmate's desk, before rushing to her desk to see who was calling her during office hours.

Heaven rummaged through her bag to check, and her brows furrowed upon seeing Ivy's name on it.

"Why is she calling me at this hour?" she wondered, only to realize she hadn't told Ivy about her employment. After a second, her brows rose again as a message popped up from the same caller.

[From: Ivy Wei

Can you meet me on the rooftop? I have a question.]

"Rooftop?" Heaven tilted her head to the side. "Did Dom tell her about my employment?"
