Collector's joy

"Wow…" Axel held his breath, covering his lips. "... it's so beautiful."1

A layer of tears coated his eyes, dropping to his knees. Heaven couldn't help but give him a side eye at his reaction.

'Really…' Heaven bit her inner bottom lip, a little embarrassed at the drama king beside her. '... I am a collector myself, but I never went to my knees at the sight of them.'

"There you are!" Suddenly, a man's voice erupted in the private warehouse, catching Heaven and Bear's attention. Meanwhile, Axel was still too busy weeping and appreciating the beauty before him. 

"I was told that the mysterious wife of Mr. Zhu would be the person who will pick up this beauty, but alas…" the man smoothly took Heaven's hand up to his lips. "... more than I was surprised that I'll be honored to meet the woman who owned a man like Mr. Zhu, I am even more surprised that your beauty exceeded my expectation."

The man planted a kiss on her knuckles, keeping his eyes on Heaven.

"You must be…"

"Oh, apologies for the late introduction." The man chuckled as he let her hand go. "The name is Clement. Nice to meet you, Madam."

"Heaven Liu." Heaven tipped her head down, maintaining a benign manner. "That is my brother-in-law, Axel. I'm sure you've met him. And this is Bear, my bodyguard."

Clement smiled at Bear and then glanced in Axel's direction. "Second Young Master Zhu, it's been a while. I knew you would like this beauty."

"Who wouldn't?" Axel dragged his knees up and approached the car, only to stop at arms-length. "This is so precious. Let's check the engine!" 

"Very well." Clement cast Heaven a look. "Shall we?"

With that being said, Clement ushered Heaven toward the vehicle while Bear kept a safe distance. Clement then went to show them everything Heaven and Axel needed to know about the limited edition model; detailing everything from the engine, the interior, materials used, and the like. 

It was clear Axel wasn't listening as he was too busy ogling on the engine. He was almost drooling. One could tell his excitement about this vehicle was on another level not many would understand.

Heaven, on the other hand, was quiet.

'I didn't know she was also inclined in this sort of stuff,' Bear thought, catching the fire in her eyes. 

Heaven might be quiet and appear as though she was just pretending to listen, but Bear could see it in her eyes. She understood every little detail, and everything she laid her eyes on thrilled her just as much as it did Axel. 

For some reason, Bear could see Hera in Heaven, which made his heart stop for a second. 

"Truly… spectacular," said Heaven with a slight smile, gazing at the vehicle with appreciation. "Having three in the world just makes it even better. I wonder where the other two were."

Bear's pupils dilated as he held his breath, watching Heaven and Clement laugh at her 'joke.'

'What were the odds? That she would say the same words as her?' wondered Bear, thinking that Hera had this sort of habit. Something she would spew on instinct. 

Hera was a collector, and she liked everything that was limited-edition. Be it wine, clothes, cigars, cars, or anything rare. If there were only three bottles of wines of the same kind, she often possessed all of them, or at least more than one. 

[I wonder where the other two were.]

Hera at least said this sentence countless times in her life. And Bear knew that whenever she would say that, she would deploy at least one of her men — depending on how much she liked it — to get it for her. Through means or foul. If the item was truly precious, Hera would set out herself and 'beg' the other owners to let her buy it. 

So, hearing Heaven say the same words Hera would say brought this inexplicable feeling to his heart. 

"I like it." Heaven flashed Clement a smile. 

"I'm sure you'll do. I've already finished the paperwork and you only need to check and sign it." Clement wiggled his brows. "Shall we move on to the paperwork? Or do you want to test-drive it first?"

"Test drive!" this time, Axel enthusiastically raised a hand. "I'll do it."

"I'm sorry, second young master. But the decision is not mine." Clement then cast Heaven a look. "It was Mrs. Zhu's decision. Your sister-in-law."

As soon as Axel heard that, he glided to Heaven's side. "Sister, you said you need me to test-drive it, right? Can I? Can I?"

"Well…" his brows rose when he caught reluctance in her eyes. 

"Sister, why are you having second thoughts now?" Axel gasped, sporting a puppy look for her to take pity on him. Surely, this man had no pride at all. How could he beg the woman whom he despised so much just because of a car?

'How cute.' Heaven sighed and, without thinking, she raised a hand and ruffled his hair. "Fine, but let me sit in."

Axel blinked, a bit taken aback at how gentle her hands were. 

"Oh…" He massaged his nape, feeling a little awkward as Heaven retrieved her hand. 

"We'll test it first. We can settle the papers later," said Heaven as she faced Clement. 

"As you pleased."

And with that, Clement took out the box he had been holding and handed it to Heaven. When Heaven opened it, the corner of her lips curled up. 

"Axel," she called and without a moment's notice, she tossed the box to him. "Start the car. We'll go for a stroll."

Excitement immediately replaced Axel's momentary surprise. He giddily opened the small box, only for his eyes to sparkle. 

"Oh em gee!" he cheered like an excited little girl, pressing a button and the doors automatically opened vertically. 

"We'll be gone for a while," said Heaven to Clement. "Bear will stay here with you."

"Sure, my lady. There is a track you can use — I'm sure you've seen it when you came."

"Yes, thank you." Her smile stretched before casting Bear a look, only to see him a little distracted. 

'That's new. He rarely gets distracted.'

But Heaven didn't dwell on it as she joined Axel for an exciting ride. Or so, she thought.
