Haunted House

The two gossiped until they arrived at the haunted house which Assistant Zhu had found. It was a detached villa which looked very luxurious from the outside. The facilities were also very complete, and included a garden, pool, gym, and so on.2

And the scenery here was very good.

This place was actually quite close to the city center, but it was a lone villa which was some distance away from the other villas. It was pretty good in the past for a holiday and to enjoy the scenery, but since this place was haunted, who would dare live here alone, let alone bring their whole family with them?

Assistant Zhu didn't believe in the supernatural, but the introduction by the agent had given him goosebumps. Speaking of which, if Assistant Zhu hadn't come in person and said that he was just here to look around and wasn't really planning on buying this haunted house, the agent wouldn't have come.

He already felt terrified waiting outside on his own in broad daylight. Seeing Assistant Zhu arrive, he heaved a sigh of relief.

While the agent was introducing the place, Chi Shuyan surveyed the surroundings. She liked this place a lot, and the fact that it was a remote location was just nice.

On the side, Assistant Zhu wasn't satisfied with this detached villa in a remote location. Not to mention that it was haunted, how could his boss's niece be at ease living in such a place?

When the boss had said to look for a haunted house, Assistant Zhu thought that it was for young people who were looking for excitement. He thought that he could just find a random haunted house for them to enjoy. The other villas were all good; he could just lie and say they were haunted too.

At that moment, Assistant Zhu didn't plan to go in, and said, "Little niece, I think this villa is a little too isolated. There's no one around. It's fine during the day, but think how creepy it would be at night. How about we choose something else? Uncle Zhu will take you to see other villas that are better than this one, and in better locations!"

The agent also hurriedly nodded and said, "Yes, yes, let's go take a look at the other villas! The other locations are better!"

Chi Shuyan didn't care if the other locations were good or bad. She had taken a fancy to this one. She just said, "We haven't gone in yet. We're already here, so why don't we go in and take a look first?"

The agent next to her shuddered violently at her words. He was about to refuse, when Assistant Zhu spoke first. "Indeed, we're already here. There's still time to go in and take a look before we choose something else!"

The agent snuck up to Assistant Zhu with a pale face and said, "Assistant Zhu, this villa is really haunted. I'm really not lying to you! Can we not go in?"

The agent shuddered when he recalled what had happened in the villa.

Assistant Zhu didn't mind. "It's not like we're going in at night. That ghost can't come out during the day to scare people, right?"

Helpless, the agent could only tremble and lead them inside. Before they entered, Chi Shuyan gave the two of them a talisman each to ward off yin energy, mainly because she could indeed feel yin energy inside. Coming into contact with a lot of yin energy wasn't good for people.

Assistant Zhu took the yellow paper from his boss's 'little niece' and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Little niece, which swindler did you buy this waste paper from?"

Chi Shuyan smiled faintly. "From this swindler's own hands!" Meaning that she had drawn them herself!

Assistant Zhu let out a breath. "Little niece, you know how to draw talismans?" He stared at the talisman and said, "Study hard and make progress every day at your age; don't indulge in these things too much. Those feudal superstitions are all fake!"

Chi Shuyan: …

The agent had initially been gripping the talisman tightly and his expression relaxed slightly, but when he heard that it was this young girl who had drawn them, his face turned pale again!
