Before Qin Yan could complete her question, Zhuang Yu introduced herself excitedly.

She then looked at Qin Yan with shining eyes, "Qin Yan, I am a big fan of yours! I have even witnessed the Brain Challenge in which you brought Shengyang High school to victory single-handedly."

Han Jun and Qiao Qing were dumbfounded. 'Wasn't Zhuang Yu Qin Yan's rival? How did she turn into Qin Yan's fan?' This time they had seen the magic of Qin Yan's charm once more.

Qin Yan, on the other hand, smiled at Zhuang Yu while forwarding her hand for a handshake, "Nice to meet you, Miss Zhuang!"

Zhuang Yu did not shake Qin Yan's hand and hugged her instead, "It's great to meet you Miss Qin!"

"Are you having lunch? Why don't you join us?" Zhuang Yu asked Qin Yan with her puppy eyes. Nobody could refuse such innocent look, but Qin Yan had almost finished her meal so she refused without a thought.

"Miss Zhuang, it's not that I don't want to join you, but I have already finished more than half of my meal," Qin Yan smiled apologetically, "Next time, maybe?"

When Qin Yan said this, Zhuang Yu's attention went to their plates. Seeing more than half meal done, she sighed regretfully, "Okay, next time for sure."

"I will proceed further. See you then," Zhuang Yu skipped happily while waving goodbye to Qin Yan.

Usually, Zhuang Yu would be quiet and gentle but after meeting Qin Yan, she turned to a little fangirl. Everyone around her was stunned to see this.

On the other side, Qin Yan finished her meal before returning to her classes.

In the evening, when her classes winded up, Qin Yan walked to the gates of the campus to buy some daily necessities which she was lacking in.

Her roommates were still busy unpacking their stuff while Han Jun and Qiao Qing were busy with their own matters. So Qin Yan got some alone time which she enjoyed the most.

As she walked to the gates of the campus, her eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar figure. The figure also noticed Qin Yan and waved to her, "Yan Yan!"

Qin Yan's walking pace increased automatically and she started jogging in the end before rushing into the other party's arms, "Jian Jian, I missed you so much!"

"Look at how you are! Are you a kid rushing into my arms?" Yun Jian scolded Qin Yan lovingly.

"I am not a kid but your best friend. You didn't come to meet me these days. You didn't even call me and when I called you, you didn't pick up my calls. I was so worried about you!" Qin Yan looked at Yun Jian angrily.

"I am really sorry, but I was involved in a case. I couldn't contact you for so long, but look I am here now!" Yun Jian tried to console her best friend.

Qin Yan understood her friend's line of work but she couldn't let go of her grudge, "Why are you here now?" she asked taunting Yun Jian.

"Of course, it's to spend time with my bestie," Yun Jian hooked Qin Yan's arm while saying, "Should we go to your favourite barbeque place?" She asked Qin Yan so as to put the latter in a good mood.

Qin Yan's eyes lit up hearing it. Food was her greatest weakness. She could never resist the temptation of good food.

"Okay, but since you were invisible for so long, it would be your treat!" Qin Yan wanted to punish Yun Jian before letting go of her grudge.

"Sure! Let's go!"

Both the bosom buddies got into a taxi before leaving for Qin Yan's favourite barbeque place.

As they reached the place, Qin Yan felt a great sense of nostalgia. She used to visit this place with Yun Jian almost every week in her previous life. It was a small setting but the food tasted great.

Suddenly, Qin Yan realised that how much things had changed during this period. She didn't know how it had become like this, how she had transmigrated into another person's body and had to take over her life. Sometimes she felt that she had lost her identity. But since she had taken over other person's body, to justify her life, she had to live happily. Also, she didn't have any other option now.

"Yan Yan!" Seeing Qin Yan lost in her thoughts, Yun Jian nudged her to bring her back to her senses.

"Yes!" Qin Yan shook her head to dispel her thoughts.

"What are you thinking! Why are you in a trance! Anyway, let's enter," Yun Jian could not control herself as smell of delicious food wafted to her nose.

Qin Yan nodded and entered with Yun Jian.

"Hello uncle, how are you? Do you remember me?" Yun Jian greeted the old owner of the restaurant.

The old man looked up and his face blossomed with a wide smile seeing Yun Jian, "How can I forget you! You used to bother me every week!"

His eyes drifted to Qin Yan as he smiled, "Is this your new friend?"

"Yes," Yun Jian held Qin Yan's arm, "She is Qin Yan, we will disturb you every week from now onwards!" Yun Jian said cheerfully to the owner.

"Good good," the owner was happy seeing the cheerful Yun Jian.

Months ago, Yun Jian had come to his place in the most haggard state. Tears were filled in her eyes as she couldn't stop crying. Then he came to know that the other girl Mo Ran, who always enjoyed the food at his place leisurely was no more.

Yun Jian had come to his place for reminiscing her memories and to feel the presence of her best friend here. Her eyes were swollen from crying and even though she ordered the usual dishes that Mo Ran and Yun Jian always ate, she couldn't eat even a single bite from the food.

The old man knew the two girls when they were in college. So he was very much familiar with these two cute and beautiful girls. He watched them grow up from mischievous students to a successful doctor and a successful police officer.

Even when they had achieved so much glory, they didn't have an ounce of ego in them. They were still like little girls in front of him.

When he came to know that Mo Ran was no more, he was heartbroken. Moreover, seeing Yun Jian in such a state was even more saddening for him.

After that time, Yun Jian never visited him again. He knew that she didn't want to visit him alone without her best friend, but he wished her to be happy. Both Mo Ran and Yun Jian were like his kids. Now seeing Yun Jian, his heart finally felt at ease.

Meanwhile, Qin Yan tried to control her tears that were about to rush out of her eyes seeing the old man. Only she knew how much she missed this place.

She still controlled herself and greeted the old man with a smile, "Hello uncle, I am Qin Yan! We will visit you more often from now onwards!"

The old man nodded and couldn't help but have a good impression of Qin Yan. She gave out positive vibes which automatically made one comfortable around her.

"What will you have?" the old man asked Yun Jian while arranging the table for their seating.

"Our regular meal!" Yun Jian blurted out unknowingly.

The old man looked up at the two girls confusedly.

Yun Jian noticed that she had said something wrong and explained to clear the doubt in the old man's heart, "Qin Yan's tastes are similar to mine. So whatever I ate previously, we will eat the same!"

The old man gazed at Yun Jian and Qin Yan for a moment before nodding, "Okay! Please have a seat! The food will be ready in a while!"

The two friends nodded and took their seats. As the smell of their favourite food wafted their noses, they couldn't help but rub their palms in anticipation. They looked like two little girls waiting for their favourite food.

"By the way, congratulations on scoring the highest marks in college entrance exam," Yun Jian said normally.

"Thank you! You are the only one who can congratulate me for a formality without any other emotion!" Qin Yan pursed her lips.

"What emotions? I already knew it would happen! It's not a big deal for you!" Yun Jian said as a matter of fact, "By the way, what's going on in your life? Anything new?"

Qin Yan looked at her best friend and smiled.

Yun Jian glanced at Qin Yan's smile and knew that something was up, "There is something going on, isn't it? Tell me quickly!" Yun Jian nagged Qin Yan to tell her whatever was going on!

"Okay okay, atleast let's eat first. Then I will tell you everything," Qin Yan wanted Yun Jian to get more curious before telling her.

"No! You tell me everything first!" Yun Jian was really curious now! She couldn't wait any longer.
