4Qin Yan and Xi Ting stepped into the private room. Everyone was already present there.

Qin Yan sat directly opposite a man in a dark purple shirt. He had an ear stud on one ear, his long hair was bunned up, and his fringe draped over his forehead.

He had a rather pretty face. In fact, his features were even more beautiful than many girls.

Those charming, pretty eyes seemed to say that he was a playboy.

Yan Shaoqing was speechless.

How did this mean he had no manners?

Also, why did Brother Xi's eyes look so scary?

It was almost as if… he treated him as an enemy.

When he looked at Xi Ting's possessive expression, Yan Shaoqing quickly shifted his gaze away from his woman.

"Cough. Um, hi, Sis-in-law," Yan Ziqi interrupted Yan Shaoqing and introduced himself to Qin Yan. He extended his hand and smiled. "Hi, sister-in-law, I'm Yan Ziqi."

There were three sons in Yan family. Yan Shaoqing being the youngest, Yan Ziqi the second son and Yan Jingheng being the eldest.

"Hello, I'm Qin Yan."

Yan Ziqi also seemed friendly. So Qin Yan extended her hand too.

But just before Yan Ziqi managed to grab her hand for a handshake, a slender hand intercepted.

Yan Ziqi was speechless.

You don't have to be like that!

It's just a handshake.

You can't even allow that?

Brother Xi's being way too possessive.

He makes me seem like a pervert who'd take advantage of her!

Xi Ting ignored Yan Ziqi's troubled expression and introduced the other people in the room to her.

"You have already met the Yan family. Now this is Nei Zhaoyang, the second son of Nei family," Xi Ting introduced Qin Yan to Nei Zhaoyang.

"Hello, sister-in-law," Nei Zhaoyang greeted Qin Yan enthusiastically.

Qin Yan: "Hello, nice to meet you!"

"And this is the eldest son of Nei family, Nei Zehai," Xi Ting pointed towards a person in black.

Qin Yan nodded at Nei Zehai, "Hello!"

"Hi, Miss Qin! So my guess was right! You are the one who has conquered our Ting Ting," Nei Zehai said smilingly.

Qin Yan also smiled bashfully, "How are Tong Tong and her brother?"

"They are absolutely fine. They miss you a lot," Nei Zehai rubbed his forehead thinking of how the twins wanted to meet Qin Yan so badly.

"I miss them too," Qin Yan also liked the twins equally.

Seeing Nei Zehai and Qin Yan being familiar with each other, except Xi Ting, all the people in the room were surprised.

"You two know each other?" Nei Zhaoyang exclaimed in curiosity.

"We have met once," Qin Yan cleared the thoughts in Nei Zhaoyang's mind.

Just as the conversation was going on, Qin Yan heard a female voice, "Hello Qin Yan, I am Nei Mianmian."

A woman came out of the dark corner and proactively introduced herself, "It's nice to meet you."

Everyone looked over together. They saw Nei Mianmian wearing a short dress that showed off her long legs. She was walking toward them.

"We're all good friends of Ah Ting, and I grew up with him as well."

Nei Mianmian sized Qin Yan up while talking to her. She didn't feel good about what she saw. She didn't expect Xi Ting's girlfriend to be so beautiful.

Although she still looked a bit too young and tender, her features were extremely attractive.

And her skin was so fair she was practically glowing.

Qin Yan had a pretty little face and lush long hair. She had a nice and clean aura about her.

Nei Mianmian was pretty, educated, and the only daughter of Nei family.

No other girl in her social circle was more outstanding than her.

This made her a little proud, and she hardly looked up to other girls.

But this Qin Yan…

This was the first time in Nei Mianmian's life where she felt threatened, and also… jealous.

She had to admit that this girl's looks were definitely comparable to hers, all things aside.

The other guys in the room frowned. When did Nei Mianmian come here? They had no idea that she was in the private room from the start.

Seeing her sizing Qin Yan up, Nei Zehai and Nei Zhaoyang looked at each other. Both of them wished that their sister wouldn't cause any trouble.

Nei Mianmian being beautiful, talented and a girl with a good background had many pursuers. However, it didn't take long for the Nei family to discover that Nei Mianmian had her sights set on Xi Ting, and she spent all her time chasing after Xi Ting.

Wherever Xi Ting was, there would be Nei Mianmian.

The Nei family thought that after so much had happened, Nei Mianmian would give up on Xi Ting but they were proved to be wrong. On the other hand, Nei Mianmian grew obsessed with Xi Ting.

Girls were always quick to pick up the subtleties in interactions, and Qin Yan was able to sense the hostility in Nei Mianmian's eyes almost immediately.

She glanced at Xi Ting and understood quickly.

"Hello, Miss Nei," Qin Yan shook her hand politely.

When she reached out her hand, she felt as if Nei Mianmian had stolen a glance at her hand. The next moment, the hostile look in her eyes dissipated slightly.

"You don't have to be so formal with me," Nei Mianmian smiled and sounded rather nice and approachable, "You're Ah Ting's girlfriend, that makes us your good friends too. You can call me by my name, or Mianmian will do."

Nei Mianmian glanced at her other hand discreetly while talking and then smiled even more widely.

Qin Yan was confused about what she was to look at.

What exactly was Nei Mianmian trying to see?

Even the rest of the people were surprised. Why was Nei Mianmian behaving like this. This isn't the calm before storm right?

"Ah Ting, how are you? We haven't met since a long time," Nei Mianmian gazed at Xi Ting.

"I am fine," Xi Ting replied with a straight face.

"Come everyone, let's have our seats," Yan Jingheng said.

They were all seated.

The waiter then came over with the menu. Nei Mianmian took the initiative to order for everyone.

When she was done, she handed the menu to the waiter and smiled at Xi Ting, "Ah Ting, I ordered your food for you. We haven't met in just a year, I suppose your tastes haven't changed?"

A woman's intuition was very accurate. Qin Yan understood that Nei Mianmian was trying to flaunt how close she was to Xi Ting.

Xi Ting looked up and faced her.

Nei Mianmian smiled and rested her chin on her hand, casually saying, "I remember when you used to come over to my house. My mom would always prepare chopped chili pepper fish for you. She said you loved it.

"I didn't like that dish initially, but after having it with you so many times, I started liking it too.

"I actually missed that dish when I was overseas. I thought I had to ask you out for a meal of that when I return."

On that note, she smiled again. "I wonder what the chopped chili pepper fish at this restaurant tastes like."

Nei Zehai, sitting beside Nei Mianmian, frowned a little. Sensing Nei Mianmian's weird behaviour his frown increased more. Even Nei Zhaoyang was puzzled at how Nei Mianmian did not fight with Qin Yan till now.
