"Alright, let's eat something first," Jia Yuze got a waiter to open the red wine on the table and poured a glass for Qiao Qing. He placed it gently on the table and said, "Miss Qiao, try this red wine. It's a perfect match for the steak. It will bring a pleasant surprise when combined."2

Qiao Qing swallowed the steak and took a sip of red wine.

Jia Yuze smiled and asked, "How is it?"

"Mm, it's not bad," Qiao Qing tried the wine. The red wine was rich and fragrant. Growing up in a well-to-do family, she could tell that it was definitely of high quality.

The steak was fresh and tender, and it melted in the mouth. Coupled with a mouthful of red wine, it was a unique delicacy.

Qiao Qing enjoyed her steak and wine.

Amidst their delightful conversation and the clinking of cutlery, a pause lingers in the air. Qiao Qing's heart beat a little faster as she stole a glance at Jia Yuze, her eyes brimming with a mix of hope and vulnerability. As their meal came to a close, the music stopped suddenly and the spotlight shone on Jia Yuze. 

Qiao Qing's heart skipped a bit. Jia Yuze stood up from his seat and gave his hand to Qiao Qing. Seeing Qiao Qing take his hand, Jia Yuze's expression softened. He said, his voice filled with sincerity.

"In the time we've spent together, I've grown incredibly fond of you, Qiao Qing. Your kindheartedness, your genuine nature, and the way you are have touched my heart in ways I never expected. I never thought that there would come a day when I would be so attached to a girl. Even when I am at work, I think of you. Whenever I do anything, I think of how good it would be if you were with me and we complete the task together. No matter where I am, as long as you aren't with me, I miss you."

Qiao Qing had long since become dazed by all that he'd said. Her heart was racing especially fast. Although she was somewhat sure of it, thinking about it on her own was one thing. Hearing him say it personally still made her feel unbelievably nervous and excited.

Her heart felt as if it was about to jump out of her chest. As she needed to breathe, her chest also heaved up and down heavily.

Jia Yuze's gaze was fixed on Qiao Qing, "When I acknowledged all my feelings, I found that this is nothing but my love towards you that has made me go almost crazy."

"So—" Jia Yuze looked at her carefully, not letting even a hint of detail on her face be missed, as he said, "Can You be my girlfriend, please?"

Qiao Qing was completely dumbstruck. She wanted to say okay. But at this moment, she suddenly could not say a word and was completely stunned.

All along, she'd thought that because Jia Yuze did not make it clear, she did not dare to think much about it. But now that Jia Yuze had spelled it out so clearly in front of her and made it so clear, Qiao Qing felt it was surreal. She felt as if she was walking in the clouds, soft yet unsteady.

Jia Yuze thought that Qiao Qing had doubts about this and so she was not replying to him. So he continued, "I promise you I won't have any kind of relationship with other women, and I won't even give them the chance. I have never been such a casual person. Even if I don't have a girlfriend, I also won't fool around. I never liked those kinds of casual relationships. I can make you feel secure, so you won't be disturbed by those kinds of messy and ridiculous things. Be it in a relationship or marriage, I won't betray either. Please believe me and give me a chance."

Qiao Qing's legs really gave way. Her knees bent and her whole body was about to collapse. Luckily, Jia Yuze reacted quickly as he had his eyes on her all this time. Seeing that Qiao Qing was about to slide down, he quickly supported her. His palms clasped her waist. 

He saw how she had turned weak all over and looked really embarrassing. But it was super cute.

Jia Yuze could not help but laugh and said in a low voice, "Say yes."

Qiao Qing was still in a daze and had not yet reacted. She really did not expect that there would actually be a day when Jia Yuze would confess to her. Thinking about it now still felt unbelievable. He was such a good man, yet he actually liked her. He had always kept a distance from women and treated everyone else coldly. Yet he actually took a liking to her.

Qiao Qing blushed but she could not say 'yes' yet. She was not sure of coming in a relationship again. She was unconfident in herself. She gathered her courage and asked Jia Yuze, "I want some answers from you. It is just for me to be sure."

Jia Yuze nodded. He knew Qiao Qing's nature and thus he agreed instantly.

"You said that you like me," Qiao Qing took a deep breath, "I can understand that you like many things about me. But what about my face? Doesn't it bother you?"

Jia Yuze stepped forward and caressed the scar on Qiao Qing's face, "Since I have feelings for you and I am asking you to be with me, I am ready to accept you with all your perfections and imperfections."

"Qiao Qing, I know that you are insecure about yourself, but remember, nobody is perfect. I am also not perfect. I have some imperfections as well. So there is nothing different with you. I accept you with your beauty as well as your scars." 

Qiao Qing stared at him. Hearing Jia Yuze, her eyes were filled with tears. She had never imagined this.  She never thought that she would get acquainted with someone like Jia Yuze. She never thought that someone's thoughts could be so good. In this materialistic world, where you are first judged by your face, she had come across many people who had refused to speak to her. However, now this man standing in front of her was ready to accept her wholeheartedly with all her shortcomings. She couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards the almighty.

Seeing Qiao Qing's expression, Jia Yuze lowered his head and kissed her lips. The soft touch brought with it an electrifying sensation, lingering as a tingling sensation on Qiao Qing's lips. 

The kiss was extremely gentle and Qiao Qing got lost in the kiss. Realising that Qiao Qing was comfortable, Jia Yuze deepened the kiss. Qiao Qing gasped in shock and parted her lips subconsciously.

He grabbed her waist and exerted a little more strength to hug her up, pressing her tightly against the door so that she was at eye level with him, kissing even harder and deeper.

His hands slowly shifted from the sides of her waist to the back of her waist, locking his hands on the curve of her back. But the moment he clasped his hands around her, he could immediately feel the curves of her seductive back. It was exceptionally alluring.

Jia Yuze's hands trailed along her back irresistibly and pressed her even closer into his arms.

Their abdomens pressed against each other. Unlike him, her abdomen is so soft, and every part of her body was just so soft. With great difficulty, he parted slightly from her lips.

Qiao Qing had already been kissed dizzy, and her lips got even fuller and glossier. Her lip color was nice to begin with, but now it was even tinged with tenderness and charm.

"Say yes." Jia Yuze's hoarse voice mumbled those two words before he could not help himself and kissed her lips again. This time, he did not kiss deeply. He just kept raining light and faint kisses on her lips.

Qiao Qing felt her head heating up so much that it was about to explode. The fresh scent of mint on his body enveloped her. It was such that now, her lips, and even her mouth, was filled with his scent.

Then Jia Yuze very quickly took his lips to her ear and said very softly, "If you don't say it, I will continue." The moment he said that, he continued raining kisses on her.

Being spoken so softly in her ears in between the kisses was the thing that completely took her to cloud nine such that she couldn't control herself for even a second. "Yes," Qiao Qing quickly said the moment he slightly parted from her lips and then she also started kissing him passionately.

She finally said that word, and her heart was still racing like crazy. She would feel really embarrassed even if she stood just a little closer to him first. She would never have expected that there would be a time like today when she would be hugged by him and kissed by him like now.
