Luo Zhelan's restricted information
Jiang Yue spent her days attempting to gather evidence against Xia Mingzhou, but it was all for naught. There is nothing but her attendance records during psychotherapy sessions. Probably because she is very excellent at controlling her aggressive behavior, and if she ever physically harms someone, she will not leave any proof that can be linked back to her.2
If Jiang Yue didn't investigate the people around her sister, she doubt she would even know about Xia Mingzhou's past. Just Jiang Xiu's statement and Xia Mingzhou's records aren't enough to prove that it was she who hurt Jiang Xiu.
"Have you not at any point recorded anything when she hurt you?" Jiang Yue asked the girl in front of her, however, her sister only shook her head.
"I never would have even thought of going against her," Jiang Xiu stated as her hands fiddled with her clothes.
She never tried to gather evidence of what Xia Mingzhou had done to her for almost three years because she had always been afraid of her cousin and what she could do.
Only now, with Jiang Yue's encouragement and how her life is getting back on track, she could muster the courage to go against Xia Mingzhou.
Jiang Yue nodded, "Don't worry, I'll try to find other ways to find evidence," she stated, afraid her sister would be pressured.
"Oh right," She exclaimed as she collected the notes she had prepared during the last few days, "Here."
The other girl confusedly accepted the notes, and she explained, "It's the notes I gathered. It's much easier to understand compared to the lecture books."
Jiang Xiu accepted it and thanked her, however, when she opened the pages and looked through the notes, she couldn't help but be surprised at how concise and easy it is to understand. There were several sample questions with answers as well for every compulsory and elective subject.
"Did you make this?" Jiang Xiu questioned, as her hands scanned through the notes.
Jiang Yue nodded, "Some of those questions will likely appear during the mock exam but probably with a bit of tweak. I'll make another one for you for the College Entrance Examinations."
"Is it okay if I share it with others?" Jiang Xiu intended to give it to Wen Liling since that girl was having difficulty coping with the lessons.
Maybe she should give it to Gao Tian and the others, so their grades wouldn't be so pitiful.
"Up to you."
She excitedly went back to her side of the bed to study the notes.
Jiang Yue grabbed her laptop and opened it.
She opened the files sent by Phantom and checked the projects and missions that were specifically asking for her.
The majority of them asked her to design a network security system for their companies, while others asked her to track down or locate specific individuals, and others offered her missions to take down certain websites. Because it had previously been vetted by Phantom, the ones that remained were valued at tens or hundreds of millions of yuan and were offered by influential people in various industries.
She scrolled through each file and her hands stopped when a name caught her attention.
It was a regulation that anyone who wanted to work with her had to give their identity information as well as the purpose of the project.
And one of the file names was familiar to her.
"Luo Zhelan?" Jiang Yue couldn't help but utter as she opened the file with his name on it and she raised her brow as her eyes skimmed the information.
Luo Zhelan offered her $100 million for Luo Corporation's network security system.
She couldn't help but compliment him on his generosity.
It was the first time $100 million had been offered in exchange for her services.
She was tempted by the amount of money this project may bring her, but she hesitated because of the history between Luo Corporation and her Master.
Following the incident of Zion hacking into Luo Corporation, Luo Corporation did not hesitate to terminate its collaboration with Paragon.
Although the corporation was led by Luo Zhelan's father at the time, the ease with which they ended their almost three-decade partnership left a bad taste in her mouth.
That incident harmed Paragon's reputation.
Jiang Yue closed the file and shuffled through the others, but she couldn't help but wonder whether she should take advantage of this opportunity to strike a deal with Luo Zhelan in exchange for something she always wanted from him, information regarding someone.
As she walked out of the dorm, Jiang Yue grabbed her phone and dialed Phantom.
"Little Sister, what are you calling for this late at night?" Phantom answered on the other end.
"I went through the files you sent and I have a favor to ask."
"Well, that's new. Are you interested in taking a project this time?"
"Yes," she replied, "but the thing is, I want to strike a deal with someone."
Phantom's interest was piqued, "Ah, who is it?"
With Blank's ability, she could just take whatever she wants through hacking. He wonders who is it that made this little devil end up offering a deal.
"It's Luo Zhelan."
Phantom couldn't help but whisper to himself, "Ah, no wonder."
He knows a lot about that man because someone had offered him a mission to do a background investigation on Luo Zhelan before and he took up that offer.
The trouble was, while most of his basic information was easily accessible, the majority of his information was confidential and encrypted.
He couldn't do anything because he couldn't breach the security and he doubted he could decrypt the information as well.
His family's and close friends' information, on the other hand, might be difficult to access for a hacker like him, but it wasn't confidential or encrypted, and only Luo Zhelan's information was.
His information security was on par with that of some of the world's most powerful political leaders.
Phantom deduced from this that Luo Zhelan was no ordinary man and making a deal with him is like playing with fire, but he has trust in the little devil on the other end of the phone that she could deal with someone like him.
"Then what do you want me to do?"
