When Jiang Yue heard his last words, she frowned.

She had merely introduced Xu Wuying as an assassin from Fallen Vengeance, not revealing her true identity as Scarlet to keep her out of trouble in case this man, White Serpent, tried to go after her for whatever reason.

The only reason you didn't do so was because before you could even kill Shadow you would be laying on the couch first with a bullet lodged on your forehead. And how did it all happen? Because you're too fucking confident that we won't be able to do anything to you because you have us surrounded."

"You're too stupid for someone who is the head of a said private security agency that we haven't heard of because 'it's out of our reach'," Xu Wuying mockingly declared, earning her a glare from him.

Jiang Yue, who had her head lowered, couldn't help but raise the corner of her lips.

"Even the dumbest assassin from Fallen Vengeance would not leave their opponent with a firearm or any weapon— ah shit," Xu Wuying couldn't finish her sentence before feeling a tearing agony on her wrist.

Jiang Yue placed the bullet she had taken on the glass table, creating a clanking sound.

White Serpent seeing that stated with a clenched jaw, "Can you just place that anywhere but the table?"

"It's just a fucking bullet, what are you being so fussy about?"

Xu Wuying reacted with clenched teeth as she lay on the couch, her palm on her arm as pale as a sheet of paper, and she couldn't even exert force on her hand because it was too painful for her.

Jiang Yue cleaned the blood on Xu Wuying's hand and wrist, then wrapped a gauze around it.

She needed to perform surgery to treat the damaged veins on her wrist, but she couldn't because they only gave them basic medical materials, and she needed specialized tools.

For the time being, removing the bullet and cleaning the wound will suffice to keep it from becoming infected.

Jiang Yue stood up and declared, "Let's go."

She had already treated Xu Wuying's wound, and it appeared that she would not be able to obtain any further information from the man, so they should leave right away.

White Serpent raised his brow, "You're leaving? You haven't given me an answer yet."

"I'll give you some time to think about it," he said again, not accepting 'no' for an answer, "Not only are you a formidable assassin, but you're also an excellent hacker. Inferno could provide you with the resources you need to improve, but Fallen Vengeance would simply drag you," he said, glancing at Scarlet, who had already turned towards him and was looking at him as if she was about to throw hands.

Xu Wuying's jaw clenched as she glared at him, and she stated with gritted teeth, "She didn't leave. You're the head of Inferno yet your information is incorrect. No wonder you're poaching people from other organizations— your men are even more incompetent than the useless assassins who weren't accepted in Fallen Vengeance."

Jiang Yue seeing that Xu Wuying looks like she was about to jump on White Serpent as she had already straightened her back from leaning on the couch, stated, getting the two's attention, "Just contact me when you need my service and I will fulfill my part of the deal."

She had proposed that as long as he let them leave safely and tell her his identity and their organization, she will do anything they asked of her.

"Give me your contact information."

Jiang Yue considered ways to provide her contact information, and when she saw the blood on the glass table, she didn't hesitate for a second before writing a string of numbers on the glass with the blood that had pooled beneath the bullet.

When he witnessed what she had done, White Serpent's visage darkened.

Xu Wuying slowly stood up and drew a heart with her other hand next to the string of numbers.

"The blood's not enough as most had already soaked on the couch, so you better have that memorized already," she mocked, reminding White Serpent of his 50 million expensive furniture that now has flecks of blood on it, darkening his face even more.

"Just leave already," he said, and the two did, with Shadow first retrieving her phone from the table.

They walked out of the room but before they could step on the stairs, Jiang Yue said to Xu Wuying, "Don't call me Shadow."

Xu Wuying was confused by her words but hearing her next statement made her understand why.

Jiang Yue clicked a button on her earpiece and said, "Xiaoli, is anyone outside the door's basement?"

Xiaoli and Liu Ming who had their nerves taut and their hands and forehead sweating from nervousness waiting for Blank to get out of the room, sighed out of relief when they finally heard her talk.

"You have no idea how worried we were when the line was suddenly cut off, thank goodness you're fine— oh, no one's outside the basement, you can go out safely."

Jiang Yue and Xu Wuying continued walking, this time taking the front doorway and leaving as if they were guests.
